Villa in Veyrier du Lac, Lake Annecy, French Alps - close to lake and jetty - golf courses and skiing stations

The Main House - Our house is situated on the East of Annecy lake in a very peaceful surrounding. The Villa boast magnificant views over the lake and mountains. One minute walk to the lake and the jetty and walking distance to supermarket, restaurantsand activities in the village - golf course - tennis course are a few minutes way. Drive to Genève (45 mins) by motorway. The house has a very large garden and terraces with sun beds and BBQ overlooking the lake. There are 3 TV with satellites and all amenites. Short distance to Skiing stations la Clusaz and others. Short trip to Megevre and Chamonix. The Garden Apartment has a panoramic view over the lake and the mountains. A large sitting room view over garden & lake, terrace with furniture (sun beds) and BBQ Modern kitchen fully equipped. Satellite TV, Jacuzzi and all amenities - walking distance to village & Tennis Court - Golf course a few minutes away by car and Geneva 45 mins drive by motorway.

Your house is wonderful and catered for all our needs. the balcony view meant we were able to relax with that wonderful view at all times and swimming in the lake reminded me of the holidays taken in the Italians lakes, but without the commercialisation.

I want to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at your house in Veyrier. It was an ideal spot, so quiet and peaceful. Just idyllic. We loved the terrace with the view of the lake and made good use of it for meals or relaxing with a book. It was a lovely place to return after a day out.

What a beautiful area it is. With perfect weather, our trips into the mountains gave fantastic views and we discovered many small villages and towns.

A wonderful holiday and we have many happy memories. A very special place.

Beautifully furnished house in great position

The property was as described - large, with plenty of bathrooms and showers and different seating areas - very helpful for a large family get together. It was very well furnished. Views from the house were great. The house was very close to the lake with a private pier for swimming/boating that was shared with a very small number of other houses; most of the time we were down there, we had it to ourselves. Being able to have a place to swim so close to the house was great, especially as the temperatures soared. The outdoor eating area was perfect and we lived in that space for most of the time. The kitchen was well stocked and the property was clean and the welcome from Bernard and his wife was lovely. We hiked in the slopes behind Veyrier du lac and we caught the Tour de France at nearby Talloires. Otherwise we swam, paddle boarded, kayaked and lazed around chatting. Wifi is excellent in the house. Would recommend the Castle at Annecy - the middle ages illustrated books were fantastic to see. For eating out, Le Club at Talloires was lovely for an evening meal beside the lake and Miss Tweedle's Tea Shop was great for an afternoon treat at Menthon St Bernard.

Disappointed

Sadly let down less than two weeks before our travel dates .We were left struggling to find accommodation for our family and were very disappointed as we had really been looking forward our stay

Owner's Response: to whom it may concern re _ disappointed client the event is as follows Mrs Smith requested a booking for 5 th to 12th August at the same time we received 2 requests for the same date - we explained that we needed a confirmed booking accompanied by a deposit - the latest was not so important - a deposit arrived 2 days before the one of another client We were very distressed ourselves - we immediately contacted a friend who rents her house of similar standard situated just few minutes away - this was accepted but before we could contact our client our friends next door had to face similar situation ( a deposit arrived ) she could not take our guests we in the meantime had contacted all agents in Annecy and one of our agents in Uk - accommodation offered we felt was not of the standard required - we had not choice but to say no - we spent nearly a weak - so worried ourselves trying to replace the booking and make the family happy - we were ready to pay the extra payment for a similar place of similar standard - we contacted Mrs Smith and refunded full deposit - in the mean time she found another property which she seemed very happy with We have been client of Owners direct for the past 15 years i believe and this is the first time we had to face such situation which we regret in future - we will specify a date for the deposit to arrive -to avoid such disappointment as per your record you can see how many requests were received for the same date - we replied to all - Denise mollex-Panjwani
