Villa in Lourinha, Peniche, Silver Coast, Portugal - Spacious House in Scenic Location, Minutes from the Beach

This luxurious property located 150m from the sea, with several beautiful beaches nearby. A 500m walk will bring you onto the beautiful sandy beach of Areia Branca which has lifeguards in the summer months. The town of Areia Branca with restaurants, shops and a bank is 5 minutes away by car. Lourinha, the provincial capital is also a 5 minute drive away, where you can find supermarkets, shops and banks etc. Berlinga Island is a nature reserve (visible from the rear of the house) which can be visited by boat from Peniche. There is also an old fort on the island. Peniche is a fishing village famous for it's array of restaurants, is only 13km away. Here you will also find a super beach which is well known for windsurfing and an Aqua Park. Horse riding and go karting are also available in the area. The beach at Baleal is also nearby. This is a landmark beach for windsurfing and water sports. Canoeing on the Tejo at Constancia is another option.

Why Tom Lawlor chose Areia Branca

The property is in a gated secure development which makes it very safe for children. It has a south facing aspect with spectacular sea views. The development is part occupied the whole year round and therefore is always clean and well maintained. It's only an hour from Lisbon airport which makes it very convenient, and a further 10 minutes takes you to the centre of Lisbon. The villa is quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive from nearby towns where there is lots of activity,..e. golf, swimming, surfing / water sports, dining , theme parks etc.

This apartment is relatively new, is well maintained (as is the overall complex), clean and very comfortable. Had the benefits of all modern conveniences. The complex is safe and secure for children and the pool is overlooked from the apartment. The area is within a short driving distance of a number of top class golf courses as well as some magnificant beaches. An ideal base for sightseeing and is within close proximity to a number of towns including Peniche and Obidos. The area was very quiet and an ideal location just to chill out. Local restaurants are good and well priced. There are magnificent sea views from the apartment.

Notes on accommodation: The house has central heating throughout and a wood burning fireplace in the lounge area which keeps the house very cosy in winter months. There are beautiful south facing balconies with super sea views on the first and second floors. There are also excellent sea views from all the windows on the rear of the house. The living area leads directly on to a patio area which overlooks the 2 pools and also has great sea views. There is a full size tennis court, available to residents only, in the complex. There is a secure underground garage with direct access to the living area. The house has all mod cons for an enjoyable stay. Outside: There are lovely gardens around the complex. The house has a south facing patio looking on to the pool area with great sea views. Guests can relax in this area on the patio furniture. There are 2 further balconies overlooking the pool area and also enjoying the same super sea views. French doors lead on to the patio and out to the pool area and tennis court. Tennis rackets and balls for use of guests in the complex are provided. There are 2 shared pools to enjoy. The smaller is suitable for tots and the larger pool is suitable for the bigger children and adults. There is an extensive sunbathing area around the pools. Utility Room: Small utility room suitable for airing and drying clothes. A clothes horse, iron and ironing board are provided. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The house will be cleaned before your arrival. Towels and bed linen are included in the rental. Towels are for house use only please. Fresh linen and towels are supplied weekly.

Golf holiday on Silver Coast.

We had a fantastic holiday. The property was absolutely ideal - stunning sea views, very spacious, spotlessly clean and very quiet. Just under an hour from Lisbon airport, we had absolutely no problems and I would thoroughly recommend it as a quiet relaxing destination. We played five rounds of golf, three of them on Praia del Rei and Royal Obidos, two absolutely stunning courses, up with the best of them anywhere, less than thirty minutes away.

The weather was ideal, and the scenery out by Peniche absolutely stunning. The day in Lisbon worked out a treat, and we came across some fine restaurants both in Lourinha and in Peniche (and in Lisbon).

Would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this property.

Lisbon International Airport is approx 50 mins away by car

Faro and Oporto airports are approx 3 hours drive away. EasyJet, British Airways, Monarch and Tap Portuguese Airways fly from various British Airports. Aer Lingus have an all year schedule from Dublin Airport to Lisbon, and a summer schedule from Cork Airport.


Lisbon, capital city of Portugal is a very accessible and beautiful city. It is 75km from the property. Obidos, a world heritage site with narrow cobbled streets, old walls, and numerous art type shops is 30km away. Caldas da Rainha is a good shopping town with daily markets and is 36km from the house.

Further Details:

There is a very helpful tourist office in Lourinha. Although there is a good bus service from Lisbon to the area, car hire is recommended. Our excellent property manager, Cara,is available to meet guests when they arrive and help with any queries that may arise during the stay.

Booking Notes:
To book, please check availability by email. A deposit of 20% of the booking is required at time of booking. Full payment is required 8 weeks prior to arrival. A damage deposit of 200 euro will be added to the final payment - this will be refunded after your departure from the property (subject to a satisfactory property inspection). In July and August, we can only do Saturday to Saturday rentals.

Changeover Day:
10.00 Saturday. Please ask if this does not suit and we will try to be flexible.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in Euro based on 6 people occupying. Additional persons are charged at €50 per person per week.
Discounts available for 3 week and longer lets. Please ask for prices for long term Winter lets.
