Guestbook comments from the owner

One common feature of guests holidaying in Istria is to compare the prices to places such as Spain, Greece and Portugal. Eating out in high quality restaurants, shopping in the local supermarkets and sampling the local wine and produce is consistently stated as being 'cheap' in comparison. A glass of local wine in Vodnjan is less than 50p and of excellent quality. For UK based guests it offers more for your pound with no euro. Every effort has been made to make the villa fittings and furnishings of high quality. Comments from guests on the villa have been very positive. Comments include: 'A very well equipped, stylish and spacious villa - the pool was a big success with the children'. 'I have never been in a villa that has so much equipment for guests. There is no shortage of anything. Excellent. Thanks.' The villa was featured in the 'Istra Glas' which is the local newspaper. Many comments now include the secluded and private setting of the garden and its closeness to popular Rovinj.

Unforgettable night in the villa!

  • 5 of 5

Unfortunately we stayed just for one night on weekend in this perfect villa!

It's the most beautiful house I've ever seen and it has everything someone can wish for!

And beside that, Chris is the greatest host, always at service and very hostile and kind! Thanks for everything hope to come again on larger period!

Luxury Villa

  • 5 of 5

The property is without doubt 5 star rated. It's set in the peaceful countryside about 5 minutes drive from Vodjnan and is fully equipped with everything you need. Chris the owner is very helpful and packed with information on local places to visit, things to do and amenities. There were 6 adults in our group and what we paid for the week to live in luxury, was fantastic - you couldn't ask for more. He also let us stay past the set checkout time to suit our flight home, which we were thankful for. Beautiful place, villa and a great owner - thanks Chris for making our holiday affordable and enjoyable.

Great holiday in a beautiful house!

  • 5 of 5

We spent our holiday in this really nice holiday home with two families (4 adults and 4 children). The house is perfect for 8 persons (due to the 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and fixtures).

It is a really great house, nicely furnished, everything was clean, we had enough towels and the pool is perfect!

We were enthused by the "arriving package". When we arrived at the house, some food was already there, e.g. milk, wine, olive oil, juice, water and many fruits, as well as useful things as salt and pepper, sugar, detergent tabs, dish liquid and paper towels etc.

We went to Motovun - a beautiful little town at the top of a hill. We recommend to park at the bottom of the hill (there are parking slots at no charge at the right side before the "official" parking area where you have to pay) and walk up. It is a really nice town with winding alleys, restaurants and a great view.

Our second trip has been to Rovinij. This town at the sea side is really beautiful with many restaurants, shops, old buildings and many things more. Go and visit!

The owner has been friendly and helpful at all times.

Thank you Chris for a great stay in your house!

We already recommended the location to friends and relatives and if we plan a second holiday in Croatia we will surely come back :o)

Owner's Response: The arrival package aims to ensure that on arrival at the house you can make a cup of tea or coffee with some fresh milk after a long journey. Often the most stressful time of a holiday. I make every effort to ensure arrival is stress free. The villa is stocked with at least 10 litres of local wine, juice, grappa, local oil, sweets, water and a variety of fresh fruit as a standard inclusive package. The villa is designed to be home friendly for families, adults and children. Simone's comments confirm this. Thank you. The pool is always a hit situated in front of the terrace. Both Rovinj and Motovun are very popular beautiful towns which should not be missed. Recommendations are provided and also welcome. I am now an executive member of the local tourist board and we are trying to improve even more a beautiful area of Croatia. Thank you Simone again for your comments about the villa, the places you have visited and the service you have received.

Villa Paradise Istria

  • 4 of 5

Our stay in Villa paradise was everything as described. A well established property, clean and well stocked as promised. Chris the owner, making light work of the booking and formalities answering all our questions with ease. Croatia is a beautiful and friendly country with so much to see and do, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend both the Villa and area for a visit. A car is necessary to make the most of your time there. The local village Vodnjan is lovely with the local restaurant a "must do." Thanks Chris and Owners Direct for helping to create memorable holiday for us all.

Activity and Interests

Special interest holidays:

The villa can now be used for groups of 8 during specific months to experience guided tours. The first one took place in October 2011. It included wine tasting in Momjan, oil tasting in Vodnjan, a meal of truffles in Monticello, historic visits to Motovun, Rovinji and Pula. Various itineraries are available depending on the specific season. These feature holidays will include travel, local cuisine, local history, wine and olive oil and are aimed at people who appreciate quality at a reasonable price.

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is 12km from the villa. All coasts are easily accessible to the East, West or South.
