About martyn richards
We bought the holiday home after many years of self catering with 3 young children who are all grown up. We often found it difficult to rent a property that was well equipped, clean/well presented, comfortably furnished and in a good location. We believe our house offers the ideal combination for couples or families who want to avoid, poorly located, draughty and sparsely furnished properties. We found that old French cottages often don't live up to the idyllic picture on the advert. We have let the property since 2007; everyone has always been very complimentary about the house and loved the area. We put a great emphasis on maintaining the

Why martyn richards chose Dinan area
The scenery and beaches are stunning and there is plenty to do and see nearby. The area never gets too busy so it offers the perfect combination of having beautiful beaches, interesting towns/villages and a good choice of places to eat whilst avoiding the crowds and traffic jams that can create holiday hell!
Superb for walking, cycling and water sports.
Very close to Ferry port at St Malo, so ideal for avoiding long drives with grumpy kids (or grumpy adults!).
What makes this house unique
We have been very particular to furnish and equip the property to a very good standard. Its not isolated and there is plenty to do and see without driving a long way. For those with young children who may need to spend more time at the house it offers the comfort of a decent garden and accommodation ideal for relaxing.

Pleherel Plage is situated on the beautiful Cap Frehel; never too busy but certainly not isolated. Village Bakery and restaurants within walking distance (not out of season). Plenty to see nearby. Nearby Sable D'or is rarely busy, it has a fabulous beach and good selection of low cost places to eat. Erquy, Val Andre and St Cast are popular resorts nearby. Lots of French markets to visit. Dinan and St Malo also within an easy drive. We provide a guide to the area before you depart; The area offers an excellent blend for walking, enjoying the beach/coast, eating out and sightseeing. There is plenty to do nearby but the great thing is you avoid the crowds and busy traffic (Dinan and St Malo are busy but worth a visit). St Malo would be the preferred port as it is approximately 35 minutes drive. Roscoff and Caen are alternatives although a little further away. A car is essential to enjoy the area.
