Cosy Cottage is located in Hayle at the heart of St Ives bay, making it perfect for exploring Cornwall. A traditional Miners cottage, full of character but lovingly renovated to include the modern comforts you need. Sleeping up to 6 people, the cottage comes fully equipped with everything for your stay, including: Unlimited Broadband & WiFi Internet, Satellite TV with Recording and On Demand, Five bikes, Two bodyboards, Nintendo Wii game console and games, Film streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime with your own account, DVD player and DVDs, Buckets, spades and crab lines, Books, puzzles and games! The sunny rear garden has a raised deck to survey the sand dunes, and a brick built BBQ for summer evenings. Available all year round, it is ideal for short breaks, winter getaways and summer vacations. Located within walking distance of the beach and town facilities, the cottage is perfect for young and old alike.

We are a couple in our 30's with a young child who moved to Cornwall in 2005.

Why Ben & Vicky chose Camborne, Redruth & Hayle

We bought Cosy Cottage in 2007 as we recognized it would make a great holiday home. We then renovated it throughout to make it a pleasant place to stay with new furniture and equipment.

As we have a young child ourselves we understand parents concerns so have ensured the cottage is child safe and supply a cot, highchair and stair gates to reduce the amount you need to pack.

What makes this cottage unique

Perfect for family holidays with unlimited Broadband & WiFi Internet, Satellite TV with Recording and On Demand, Five bikes, Two bodyboards, Nintendo Wii game console and games, Film streaming on Netflix and Amazon Prime with your own account, DVD player and DVDs, Buckets, spades and crab lines, Books, puzzles and games!

Compact and cosy with central heating and flame effect fire. Very clean and nicely equipped kitchen, with those few extra conveniences, eg salt and pepper, kitchen roll, some groceries etc. Possible do with a few more mugs. Always able to park either outside the house or just a few doors away.

Nice and quiet area with beach of outstanding beauty just minutes away.

Use of bikes in the shed a great feature.

Found the property to be as advertised. Always found parking available in the street in front, although a little intimidating at first for an American driver-narrow. Not a large apartment, but who spends time inside when there are so many things to see! Pleasant neighbors on both sides. Hayle has a large Cooperative grocery store, several petrol stations, a nice small library with computers/Internet available, bars, restaurants, take-out shops, everything that you might require. All in all, a nice and affordable place to stay.

Notes:
The Cottage is centrally heated throughout with an additional fire in the lounge which makes it perfect for winter getaways as well as the summer sun! There is an enclosed rear garden with a brick built BBQ, lawn area and raised deck with views over the Towans (Sand Dunes), making it perfect to relax in after a hard day on the beach, less than a mile away. Towels and bed linen with quilts, not scratchy blankets! are provided free of charge. These are changed weekly. You will need to bring your own Cot bedding. In the shed at the bottom of the garden you will find five bikes, two body boards and a variety of beach equipment including buckets, spades, crab lines, bats & balls and a wind break for you to use.

Great cottage in ideal location.

We had a great week in this lovely little cottage. There is everything you need for a perfect holiday.

Spotlessly clean and very well maintained,

The cottage is perfectly placed for exploring this part of Cornwall .

The town has all the shops (and pubs!) you need within walking distance.

As a bonus the weather was brilliant!

We would definitely return and recommend to friends.

Everything you need in a perfect location!

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage everything was lovely and clean with all the essentials to hand. The cottage was in a brilliant location with easy access to different parts of Cornwall. Ben and Vicky were very helpful and answered any questions we had before and during our stay. The garden was lovely in the sunshine to have a BBQ in the evening. A lovely home from home cottage!

Very clean, Well equipped cottage

We had a lovely few days at cosy cottage, we found it to be really well equipped, very clean and tidy. The welcome bottle of wine was a lovely touch.

The only comment I would make is that, as is common for old terrace cottages, the stairs are steep and care is needed, therefore it may not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties.

I would recommend this cottage as a great base to explore beautiful Cornwall

It lives up to it's name - Cosy Cottage!

Cosy Cottage provided just what we wanted for a last minute break. It was cosy, clean, well-equipped and in a great location to visit the south west area of Cornwall. The garden is beautiful, but unfortunately the weather wasn't kind enough for us to make use of it. However, we did have one absolutely glorious day which we were able to spend on the local Hayle beach. Many opportunities to surf in the area and I had my first-ever surfing lesson, which was amazing. Thank you Ben and Vicky for letting us your cottage for the week.

Great base for exploring West Cornwall

Cosy Cottage is well placed for getting around West Cornwall. It is spotlessly clean and has everything you would need for a relaxing break. Central heating makes out of season visits comfortable - so many cottages we've stayed in previously have inefficient storage heaters! No problems whatsoever though the owners gave the impression that if there was a problem, it would be sorted straight away as they live locally. Great place to stay, I would recommend it.

Just 2 minutes walk away is the vibrant town centre at Hayle where a wide range of amenities including several good pubs, shops & supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. A short stroll along the estuary leads to an open-air swimming pool (operates during the summer months) and a little further on is the beach at Hayle Towans, a paradise for surfers and sunbathers alike.

Famed locally as the 'Gateway to West Cornwall', Hayle is a superb base for those wishing to tour with destinations such as the white sandy beaches at St Ives and Porthcurno, the ancient market town of Penzance and the famous mining coast of Pendeen are within easy reach.

You can park your car outside the front door or in bays round the corner for free.
