Comfortably furnished, light, airy condo, with glorious views from every room, in a small block of 8 units with elevator. We are situated in quiet street right on Sarasota bay and 100 yards from the Gulf with its miles of beautiful white sand. If you are a beach lover this is the place for you or, if you wish, lounge by the heated pool, one of the nicest on the Island, and enjoy Sarasota bay.

Dream holiday

just returned from fantastic time at Bayview. Apartment was in very scenic location, amazing sunrises over Sarasota Bay, watching the birdlife and even occasional dolphin and manatee from the lanai. Pool clean and good depth, with loungers and shade, and almost always had it to ourselves. Also BBQ and dining tables.

Just across the road was lovely quiet beach, for snorkelling, sunbathing and gathering shells. perfect place to watch the most stunning sunsets. Other beaches nearby, each with their own personality - we loved Coquina best, not too busy, easy parking, shells to collect. Turtle nests marked and protected on the beaches( you can join in the island turtle watch is you are interested)

Apartment very well equipped and tastefully furnished. Lots of towels, books and tourist information. Robin was helpful and quick to respond to any queries we had.

Anna Maria is a truly beautiful place. Very relaxed and friendly, and felt very safe. Free trolley bus up and down the island was fun and very useful. You don't need a car once you are on the island. even the Publix is on the trolley route.

We found some lovely restaurants - The Beach House for good seaside dining and to watch sunset, Sandbar for beach side dining and Sunday morning jazz., The Feast was also fantastic value for huge portions and very friendly staff ( don't be put off by its location in mall)

We took Capt Kathe's boat trip which was informative and fun.We saw dolphins leaping beside the boat, manatees and snorkelled for sand dollars on the sandbar.

Altogether an idyllic place for a holiday.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The delightful beach is 100 yards away. There is safe bathing and miles of soft white sand and very few people. The newly opened beach trail is ideal for walking and cycling.

Travel:

Tampa airport is 1 hour and 15 minutes away and has a direct British Airways flight from Gatwick. Sarasota is 30 minutes and has Delta flights from Gatwick via Atlanta.

Further Details:

The apartment is about 400 yards from Bridge Street with its newly built fishing pier and Rotten Ralph’s fish restaurant, the Post Office and shops. You can walk to the Tingley Library which also sells second hand paperbacks. Circle K is a good convenience store. Joe’s ice cream and the Beach House Restaurant are also in walking distance as is Oma’s pizza. Just over the bridge on Longboat Key is Whitney Beach centre which has a few shops. Publix supermarket is a short distance by car or trolley. The free trolley bus runs the whole length of the Island.

Another good pizza place is Fire and Stone-formerly Capalbo's-over Cortez bridge, 1/2 mile on the right.

Booking Notes:
The rents are subject to 11.5% Florida sales tax and local lodging tax. A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. All costs are to be paid 2 months before the rental date, together with a security deposit of £250. There is a charge for cleaning of $100 (£75).

Changeover Day:
Changeover dates are flexible. Check in time is 4pm. Check out is at 10.30am, later by arrangement for guests returning to the UK by overnight flights

A holding deposit of 20% is required when the booking is confirmed. The balance is required 2 months prior to the rental.
