Secluded and private, this lovely villa benefits from being only some 20 minutes from the vibrant town of Gandia and its excellent blue flagged beaches. The villages nearby are noted for their friendliness and welcoming attitude to foreigners, who are still in a tiny minority. This is an area perfect for those seeking tranquillity and peace within a beautiful and convenient part of Spain which has yet to be exploited. The quiet area extends along the newly improved Albaida road, with ancient villages and towns set in rural countryside. The gently rolling Albaida plain is surrounded by hills which provide a wonderful drama to the landscape. The villa overlooks orange, lemon and almond groves, which together with the fabulous sunsets help create it an unforgettable holiday.

Coast/Beach:

The extraordinary soft white sand beaches at Gandia playa are cleaned every morning; there are regular cafes and toilets along the beach, with games and childrens areas. It is more than 3km long, so rarely overcrowded. Many other beaches are easily accessible along the coast.

Travel:

Alicante airport 70 mins drive, Valencia airport 60 mins drive, both linked by fast motorway (A7). Car hire is essential, although with the new metro into Valencia from the airport it is easy to catch a train to Gandia (runs every 30 mins) where we can either arrange for your collection or you can grab a taxi to the villa.

Distances:

The Safor Mountains behind Gandia boast small rustic villages such as Terrateig, Castello de Rugat, Benecolet and Marquqera which are well loved by walkers and cyclists. Fishing and horse-riding are also available locally. Terra Mitica Theme Park ,with large rides, a water park and bird park, all lie behind the large resort of Benidorm, approx 60 mins from the villa

Further Details:

Our villa is perfect for those on holiday wishing to explore the beautiful Costa Del Azahar or just relax by the pool and enjoy the wonderful views. 20 mins to Gandia town with plenty of shops and eateries. A tree lined walkway (paseo) runs through the centre of Gandia's main street, with cafes for refreshments and a rest in the leafy shade, as well as plenty of clothes, leather goods, jewellery shops. For the sporty there is a large marina, the yacht club and the large beach offer all types of aquatic pursuits. Apart from its unspoilt golden sands and crystal clear waters, the Valencia province is famous for its fiestas, and celebrates elaborate street parades to the full in most towns and villages, all of which in a firework display, and can be experienced throughout the summer months.

Notes on accommodation: Optional extras include maid service and food shopping service. Villa Las Palmeras is a luxury retreat ideal for large families and friends with or without children. All rooms have their own independent air-conditioning and heating as well as a log burner for any colder days. It has outside living in mind with BBQ, large terrace, outside shower, great views, and total privacy. The child friendly terrace has new non slip tiles, so important around the pool area. A new road means quick access to the beaches and nearby villages, with local supermarkets, bakeries fishmongers and butchers. One village nearby has a winery which sells excellent red and white wines for about £1 a bottle. Outside: Outside the lounge is the Naya, which is ideal for sitting, eating and relaxing anytime of day or night. It has seating for 10 or more at the dining table and comfortable seating area. Fully equipped, independent BBQ, enabling outside eating with stunning views. Outside, tiled shower for return from beach or to rinse off from the pool. Large balustraded terrace with seating areas surround the large private swimming pool (12x3m). Lovely gardens behind private gates with parking for 3 cars. Utility Room: Is in the extensive garage, with washing machine, ironing board, iron and additional fridge/freezer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and bed linen provided (please bring own pool/beach towels). Property is cleaned after each client has left and before any new arrivals. Maid service can be provided at extra cost; please ask for further details.

A great break with family and friends

A really relaxing holiday at this great villa in an unspoilt village. After only a hour's car drive from Alicante, this villa is an excellent find for a great holiday away from the crowds.

With excellent indoor and outdoor living space you are always able to find a quiet spot. The bedrooms are well proportioned, good clean modern bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen as well as a great outdoor eating space which is perfect for using the BBQ. All within a few steps of the outdoor pool.

If you are feeling a little more adventurous then the long beaches at Gandia are a short drive away, alternatively excellent local bars, restaurants and supermarkets are within easy striking distance.

We had a great holiday and would thoroughly recommend.

"Wow great Villa, so relaxing"

We had a fabulous time at Villa Las Palmeras, everything was so we organised with the owners Nick and Fiona. The pool was amazing both night and day, the beds were comfortable and everything was well stocked in the kitchen and BBQ areas. Garry and Tracey who welcomed us were around to help if needed and also gave good ideas of places to visit. The Beach at Gandia is incredible so big but so safe with lots to do and great restaurants along the playa. We enjoyed Gokarting in Daimus which is near Gandia and there are some great golf courses also nearby. Lovely relaxing holiday and will hopefully be back again.

A beautiful villa in amazing surroundings.

I went here for peace and relaxation and some quality time to spend with family and thats exactly what i got. A beautiful clean villa, amazing views great swimming pool and lovely helpful neighbours. Defiantly reccomended.

Fantastic Stay

My wife and I booked 4 nights to get our families together for the first time since our wedding last year.

We all had a great time and would highly recommmed the villa to anyone thinking of a family/group gathering. The outside dining space was perfect for evening meals. The pool was lovely too and nice to cool down in the evening. Gandía and the beaches around there aren't too far away either, making the villa the perfect location.

Lastly a big thanks to Garry and Tracey who live opposite. They were very helpful with running through everything when we arrived and were more than happy to help if we needed anything.

Lovely Villa

The villa was lovely, in lovely peaceful surroundings, it was spacious, homely and very well equipped, even though we were there for just a few days we loved eating and relaxing in the Naya, lovely outside space and the pool was great, (even though it was a bit cold but that was just due to the time of year), enjoyed watching the squirrels in the mornings, had a lovely meal at Restaurante Tolero in Gandia where the waiter provided English menus, even though he said "he was the menu"! We enjoyed our visit to Gandia beach, where there were lots of shops and a market which seemed to sell a lot of leather handbags!

As there were 6 adults we hired a 7 seater car from a company called Drivalia which was hassle free.

We had a great time and would definitely return in the future.

Our very enjoyable stay at Las Palmeras

What made our stay so enjoyable?

The outside space was perfect. My husband doesn't swim very often but the superb internet and areas for relaxation and shade ensured he was happy. The two year old and four year old had room to wander within the secure garden. We all enjoyed trying out the fruit from the fig tree and vines. The swimming pool is a great design for young children and adults. Step number one provided the space for the two year old to 'swim' alone and step number two worked equally well for the four year old. All the adults spent lots of time in and around the pool and we ate all our meals in the naya area. We loved watching the local wildlife including the red squirrels, flycatchers and long tailed tits. The dark sky at night was fantastic we will never forget the meteors. The managers of the property were very welcoming and made sure we were happy and comfortable throughout our stay. It is so reassuring to know that someone will respond quickly to any problem or query that you may have. The position of the property, close to a network of roads that allow for easy access to Gandia, Alcoy and Valencia, allowed for good shopping and days out. (Thank you G for your advice on the train from Xeraco to Valencia for our Oceanographic visit.) My husband and I loved a local walk into the lovely hills surrounding the villa and local town. We all slept very well (using the air conditioning some evenings) and felt happy and relaxed and sorry to leave at the end of our stay.

Changeover Day:
Ideally Saturday's, but we can accomodate different days if it is possible, just ask. Also we do expect clients to leave by 11.00am and new arrivals can check in from 4.00pm, but again if we can be flexible around this we try if you ask.
