Private villa panoramic view from pool and terraces, robust wifi all areas (rare)

Updated: 30-Nov-2016
Villa in Selva di Fasano,Puglia, Italy - Peaceful Location, 15mins drive to the Beach

Firstly just let me just say the photographs are authentic and perhaps do not give the full scale of how wonderful this villa actually is.....

The villa is very well situated with easy access to the surrounding coastal and hilltop towns. You'll be amongst the elite holiday homeowners of Bari who choose this area in the hilltops to have their second homes.

A gastronomers delight, discover the hidden restaurants amongst the olive groves and vineyards in the local villages that are set up for the summer and then stroll back to your private villa where you can watch the sun setting behind the hills with uninterrupted views.

Within a 10 min drive is Locorotondo, a historic hilltop town with a remarkable circular design with whitewashed houses and a large ‘cantina’ selling excellent local wine and a great selection of wonderful affordable restaurants.

In summer from mid-July until the end of August each weekend it hosts a variety of world renowned international jazz and hip hop stars for free live performances outdoor in its large piazza.

Also very close by is the historic town of Alberobello a UNESCO heritage site is a unique and fascinating place to explore the thousands of trulli which are architecturally unique to this part of the country.(a must see).

Within 25 minutes is Martina Franca an elegant baroque town, Cisternino also famous for its gastronomy, and set up high upon a hilltop is the town of Ostuni known as the ‘White City’ as it glows day and night.

Nearby is Castellana Grotte famed as the most spectacular limestone caves in Italy, the archaeological ruins of Egnazia, and a Zoo Safari Park, ideal family fun.

Selva the local village has bars and restaurants that all come alive in spring, you'll find local specialities and is just a short stroll up the hill from the villa.

If its the beach you want then it's a 15-20 minute drive back down the hill to Savelletri, a small fishing village with an abundance of beachside restaurants,(you must try the locally caught fish served raw) and miles of coastline with gorgeous sandy beaches and coastal restaurants every 100 metres. So much to do and see and so little time.....

Alternatively sit at home and soak up the atmosphere....

In 2017 there will be an introduction of a new en-suite bedroom beneath the lower deck so the house will then be able to host 6 guests comfortably.

About the Owner

we are a young married couple who live between London and Puglia. We have recently bought this villa and love staying here every opportunity we can.My wife Maria is a costume maker and I am a retired hairdresser looking for new challengers.

We are keen travellers and love eating out so this is area is perfect for us because of it's central location. Discovering this area has become our new hobby and we count the moments before we can return from London. My family is originally from Turi which isn't far down the road so you could say I'm getting back to my roots. We love meeting new people and welcome you to stay at ours.

Valley View Villa Selva fabulous stay

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Valley View Villa in July 2016, we had such a fabulous stay here, Anthony and Maria were amazing hosts, incredibly accommodating, guiding us towards the best beaches and restaurants.

We would not hesitate to recommend Valley View Villa, it is a paradise haven of tranquility, we absolutely loved it.

We felt right at home here, we stayed in the guest suite which was a real treat for us, beautifully decorated, with its own ensuite, located tucked away and hidden from the main house at the bottom of a beautifully landscaped pathway.

Valley View Villa is a contemporary villa set in the countryside of Selva di Fasano, it has been lovingly restored with all the modern comforts yet retaining the original soul of the original property, high on a hilltop with sweeping views of Selva di Fasano, this villa has glorious gardens and an idyllic terrace, making the most of the spectacular vista, the gleaming lap pool with its inviting sun loungers an ideal companion to soak up the rays. Inside, the main house is elegantly decorated in a neutral palette with crisp, clean lines.

This indulgent setting is perfectly poised for an idle, hedonistic getaway.

We cannot wait and look forward to our next stay.

Lovely relaxing week

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 had a lovely week in Puglia. The villa is as beautiful as the pictures and Anthony was an attentive and responsive host having the house and pool in immaculate condition with essential supplies - including wine! - for our arrival. We enjoyed the region including some lovely long cycle rides to neighbouring villages - Anthony assisted in our renting some good carbon-fibre road bikes. We took in some of the beaches and ate lovely food. We would heartedly recommend the villa and if you could spare two weeks, even better.

Stunning villa and views

  • 5 of 5

I had a wonderful stay in the villa, one of the best places I've ever stayed. The villa is beautiful, very tastefully decorated, comfortable beds with quality white cotton sheets and fluffy towels provided. The pool is stunning as is the panoramic view from the pool area and the substantial terrace areas. You cannot fail to be impressed when arriving and staying here, the first sight of the view over the surrounding countryside is breathtaking. The owners, Anthony and Maria, were very welcoming and helpful, providing a wealth of local information on supermarkets, coffee and cake shops and wonderful restaurants.

I cannot recommend this villa enough and can't wait to return.

One of the best holiday I've had with my daughters

  • 5 of 5

Excellent stay everything worked exceptionally well for our holiday- flights are Bari (40 min drive), many towns around the villa so its very easy to go out for meals etc and loads of beaches / gorgeous sea (Aug is busy stay away from main beaches there are so many off the beaten track - go find)

The location is excellent for any type of holiday, if you want to just stay in the villa to enjoy the setting and tranquility or there is a tremendous life outside during the day or evening. We did everything from beaches to shopping to pool days at the villa. Bbq almost every day with fresh fish and lots of salads.

- you need a car for exploring

- lots of suncream

- bug spray

Anthony was incredibly helpful with recommendations where to go for days out l, where to eat and shop.

This was my second trip back to Puglia and will definitely be coming back for a 3rd

Wishing everyone who stays at Valley view happy holidays

Stylish holiday villa in perfect location.

  • 5 of 5

This villa was an absolute delight, so stylish and well appointed, extremely well equipped and a perfect base for exploring the area. Anthony, the owner, was very welcoming and gave us many tips for sight seeing, where to eat, the best places to get local produce and, very importantly, where to get excellent prosecco at a ridiculous cheap price!

Whether you just want to relax and soak up the sun and the stunning views at the villa or explore the many beautiful towns, such as Alberobello and Ostuni, Lamie di Olimpia is the perfect place to be. We enjoyed our stay so much that we would like to return, unusual for us as we like to go somewhere new each holiday.

In summary, a beautiful villa in a beautiful location with an owner that could not have been more helpful both before and during our stay. The perfect recipe for a perfect holiday.

Puglia gets close to 300 days of sunshine a year with the warm weather starting in April and going right through until the end of October. The hottest months are July and August but with the high elevation the air does not feel too oppressive during these months, especially as the property is located on a hillside. From the Owner

The villa couldn't be more centrally located just kilometres from stunning historic local villages. Must see villages: Alberobello,Locorotondo,Cisternino,Martina Franca,Ostuni, and also just a 15 minute scenic drive down the hill are the splendid beaches and seafood restaurants. Walking distance from the villa there are local country restaurants, some set underneath grapevines and olive trees all selling locally produced wine and olive oil, then just a short walk back up the hill there is a local sleepy village that awakens in the spring and has great bars, coffee shops, supermarkets and botanical gardens. We also have robust wifi 7MB (very rare) and a VPN which is accessible in all parts of the villa because of outdoor routers (also very rare) which will allow you to watch all your TV subscriptions (sky go,netflix) on your personal laptop. Added security with a tall exterior wall surrounding the villa, also parking for a car within the villa, more parking outside. Gas Bar-b-q,washing machine, dishwasher and A/C. Baby cots and babysitting can all be organised with prior notice.
