Ideal for families & golfers, our lovely villa called 'Amarela' has 4 bedrooms, 2 en-suite, the modern, wonderfully equipped and spacious kitchen opens out into the dining area and then into a beautifully furnished lounge, complete with free WiFi, flat screen satellite TV and PS2. The living area is surrounded by patio doors for a great pool and garden view, as well as easy access to outdoor life. 3 bedrooms open out onto a full length balcony overlooking the private pool. A small balcony overlooks the cobbled square; an added bonus is the roof terrace which has a view of the sea. The patios surrounding Amarela have been furnished for outdoor dining, an evening glass of wine as well as the classic BBQ. The gardens include an orange and lemon tree, a banana plant and a long soft grass lawn ideal for children to play on. The villa is decorated and furnished to the highest standard, with hand-painted pictures throughout the bedrooms and living area. Amarela is definitely a place to enjoy living in.
I work in London but stem from the North West where my roots firmly reside. I lived and worked abroad for several years before heading back to the UK in 2003. I run a small spend management company in Central London with a friend.
I'm married to Nick, a Police Officer and we enjoy anything to do with the countryside and hope one day to leave the city and head back North to a calmer pace of life and some fresh air and space.
I own our lovely villa with friends of mine, Phil and Cath Curran from my home village in the North West and we all enjoy heading over to the villa for our own family holidays at least once/year. I don't enjoy the hot season so much and tend to go at the end of October, November or up until March when the temperatures are lovely but without the strong sun rays.

Phil and Cath had been travelling to Lagos for years and I'd never been before. I'd wanted to invest in a holiday home, as did Phil and Cath, so when I headed out to Lagos, realised how friendly the community was, the type of warm, decent tourists the place attracted, the great food culture at great prices - and not forgetting the number of beautiful towns, villages and variety of beaches along the Algarve coast, I was hooked. It reminded me of Spain from years and years ago with all its charm.
Our villa was a new build when we bought it and it's on a lovely residential 'close' with 69 villas, overlooking the fields and other lovely villas. It's very peaceful and we have such friendly neighbours. It's also so easy to get from Faro airport, in about 45 minutes which makes it hassle free.
First things first, I drop my suitcase and head straight to the supermarket 2 minutes drive away to stock up on provisions. The fact it's so close is wonderful so once we've stocked up, I can then get my swimming gear on & relax with some lunch, a drink & my book by the pool.
I'm also a stickler for a couple of UK shows - Spooks, Strictly being a couple, so the fact we've got satellite TV means I don't have to miss out whilst on holiday.
We have excellent maid, pool cleaning & gardening services for the villa so it really does feel like a proper break. It really is a villa which fills with sunshine and feels like a total break from the real world.
Restaurants & bars are only 10 mins walk away when you want to head out & about, so there's the best of both worlds on your doorstep.

'The pool area is great and the villa feels very spacious. Being able to walk to both beach and the town centre is a great plus. Clive was very helpful and kept the pool in tip top condition. I can't think of anything the house needed, it was all there. We sampled plenty of restaurants on the Marina and town centre and they were all good. Vicky Taylor.
We rented this villa for a holiday with our two daughters, their partners and our young grandson and we had a great time. We loved the location, in a quiet area on a hill just outside Lagos town. We drove from Faro but one of our daughters chose to take the train and they really enjoyed the journey; the track runs along the side of Meia Praia beach ending at Lagos Marina. From there it is a 15 minute walk up the hill to the villa. It is a steep hill and the walk down is faster!
The villa is very nicely presented and well equipped for 8 people with a good sized pool (heated by solar panels) ........and the satellite TV with DVD player was very useful for our grandson! We really appreciated the welcome pack of provisions and the pile of beach towels left for our use.
Although we had a car we chose to walk locally, into Lagos town via the marina or to the nearby Meia Praia beach (6Km of lovely sand). However, the car was very useful for visits to the Pingo supermarket a few minutes drive away and for trips further afield.
The owners were very good at answering our questions and providing information prior to our visit, and there were well organised folders of information in the villa when we arrived.
We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings.

A non refundable deposit of 20% is required per booking and such payment will reserve the requested time period. The balance of the payment is required six weeks before arrival. A £300 retainer will also be required on balance payment for any damage. This is refundable based on no significant damage to the property.
Clients can make payments electronically or by cheque; bank details will be made available on request.
Our preferred changeover day is Saturday, but we are flexible.
