About the property

Apartment in Albufeira. Close Proximity to beach, Numerous Restaurants, Bars and Shops

It has always been our dream to have a 2nd family home based in Albufeira’s Old Town and we are so chuffed that we bought this apartment at the end of 2017. We both love it as does our 2 year old son. We have spent over 10 years visiting and working in the town, so it really is home from home for us.

The apartment is situated in an aparthotel on a hillside with great views of the Old Town, Fisherman's Beach and out over the Atlantic. There is a nice south facing balcony which is ideal for soaking up the sun, relaxing, admiring the view, or eating al fresco.

The apartment is very family friendly as the balcony is on the ground floor not up high, there is no big drop. The balcony is also gated and the wall

comes up to around hip height.

The outdoor salt water swimming pool is just out of the balcony gate and down a few steps.

Within the apartment you will find our visitor pack giving you details of great places to eat and visit during your stay.

We also provide a welcome pack enabling you to have a hot or cold drink on arrival and settle in with the essentials before having to rush out to the supermarket.

There is also a TV offering a wide range of English TV channels as well as free Wi-fi.

The Montechoro Strip and world class golf courses are a short cab or Uber ride away.

We can also arrange competitive private airport transfers for you, all vehicles have Wi-fi.

We like to improve the apartment over the quieter winter months and last year it was converted it to a 2-bedroom apartment.

The apartment also has a brand new kitchen with all the usual amenities.

We try to ensure that we look after our guests and cater to their every need.

Why Matt and Lisa chose Old Town

I fell in love with Albufeira when staying at a friend's apartment and immediately bought one in the same complex. The apartment is on a hill overlooking the Old Town, Fishermans' Beach and the sea. It has a beautiful view and a large balcony on which to enjoy it. The Old Town and Beach are around 5 minutes' walk away and the Strip with its bars and Karaoke clubs is also a short taxi ride away. This means you can enjoy all that Albufeira has to offer, but are far enough away that you can close out the nightlife and get a good nights sleep! Albufeira has two distinct faces: the heat with the hustle and bustle of summer and the cool quieter winter months. I love them both!

What makes this apartment unique

My apartment is large and airy with its beautiful views. Guests that have stayed comment on how comfortable and homely it is as well as how spacious. They love relaxing in the sitting room, or sitting on the balcony enjoying the view. It is only a few steps away from the pool and the balcony is large enough to sunbathe with a separate area to sit in the shade and eat alfresco!

In January 2016 we had a new kitchen installed together with a second bedroom. The remainder of the apartment has also been decorated just last year.

The apartment is refreshed and maintained by our English friends who live nearby and are only a quick phone call away. Faro airport is about 30 minutes away and with a flight of around 2 and a half hours from London, it is such an easy journey.

Large fitted wardrobes, drawers for storage and a dressing table. Doors leading to dining area which can be opened up to the large balcony. Our brand new Bedroom 2 comprises twin singles which can also be pushed together and made up into a double using Kingsize bedding if preferred). Small wardrobe and chest of drawers. Electric ceiling fan. There are also two sofa beds in the lounge which make up into Kingsize bedding to provide extra sleeping space. Travel cot available on request.

Lovely Relaxing 10 day Christmas & New Year break

We stayed in this apartment for Christmas 2017, we had a lovely time, the apartment is in a great location, a few minutes walk to the top of the escalators, down to the Old Town, and about 10 minutes walk to Lidl/Aldi and a larger supermarket complex. There is a small Spar at the end of the road, that had everything you would need, very handy. The apartment its self was very homely and comfortable. Beautiful view from the balcony down to the Old Town that can also been seen from the main bedroom. We loved the dining room also, which is between the master bedroom and the balcony, we had many a lovely breakfast looking out over the sea. Phillipa the owner was lovely, provided plenty of information, and was very helpful with everything for the stay, would definitely recommend for a family of 2 adults and 2 children we hope to visit again

Beautiful apartment with outstanding views of the city and ocean

Phillipa was so helpful and provided great communication and information on Albufeira. The apartment was as lovely as expected. We enjoyed the view from the balcony of the town and ocean. The sunshine was great too. Loved everything about Portugal.

A really fabulous week!

The property is ideally located for the beach and Old Town. Gorgeous views from the balcony which is a real sun trap.

The flat is well furnished and has everything you need. Beds comfortable and flat very clean.

Lovely apartment, helpful owner, would stay again

Stayed here in May 2017 with my husband and another couple. The apartment was lovely and clean and in a nice peaceful location. When we arrived the owner had left some essentials like tea, coffee, juice, water etc. for us which I thought was a very nice touch. Phillipa, the owner, was extremely helpful sending us various information on good restaurants, things to do, taxi numbers etc. The pool was lovely and peaceful with only a couple of other people using it. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would indeed come back myself again. It is in a great location with bars and superb restaurants only a few minutes walk away and also a supermarket. It is also only a short walk into the old town where there are bars and restaurants in abundance and of course the beach. The apartment also has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in when on holiday. I do suffer with slight back problems and it is really dificult to find a good bed on holiday - but this one was fabulous. Thank you so much Phillipa, we hope to be back again.

Old Town Square less than 5 minutes' walk. Montechoro Strip 5 minutes by car or scenic tourist train ride away. All cabs between the 3 points are just approx 4 euros.
