Villa in Pollensa, Mallorca, Balearic Islands - A Very Private Villa Set in 3 Acres between Pollenca and Puerto Pollenca

The property is set in 3 acres of grounds in the countryside between Pollenca and Puerto Pollenca, and is ideal for the larger family wanting privacy and peace and quiet. The accommodation is split between the main house and a guest annex, it comprises of 4 bedrooms (2 with dressing rooms), 4 bathrooms (3 en-suite), a large lounge, a separate large dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. The house is centrally heated for autumn/winter stays and a log stove in the lounge provides additional warmth during the winter months. Outside there is a covered terrace for outdoor dining, a barbecue area, a 12m x 6m pool with Roman steps to the shallow end and enough space to wear out the most energetic of children. The gardens are extremely well stocked, and to the side of the property there is an orange and lemon grove. A separate utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Dear Mike, I am writing to return the keys to 'Finca Can Gato' and to say what a great holiday myself and my family had there last week. Notes on accommodation: The property is ideally suited for the larger family or 2 families wishing to holiday together. It is very suitable for children, with lots of outdoor space and wide Roman steps into the shallow end of the pool. Outside: Set in 3 acres of land the property offers complete seclusion. Directly adjacent to the kitchen is the terraced eating and seating area which is covered and shaded by campsis and bougenvilla. In addition there are a further 300 sq.m. of terraced area leading to the large 12m x 6m swimming pool, with ample seating and lounger facilities. There is a large stone barbecue. Adjacent to the annexe is a large lawned area and the covered terrace that surrounds the annexe is shaded by bougenvilla and again provides ample seating. The gardens are well stocked with plants, orange, lemon, and olive trees, and to the rear of the property is an olive, lemon, and orange grove. Outdoor lighting for the terrace areas is available for the evenings. Utility Room: The utility room is situated next to the garage to the rear of the property and houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and a second fridge/freezer should it be needed. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath towels and linen are provided and maid service is provided upon day of arrival and day of departure except for longer stays where it will normally be twice a week (including the day of arrival and departure).

Great time had by all

Just got back from staying here over the Easter break. The house is lovely, just as described. Its quiet and peaceful and very private and there is plenty of room - there were 8 in our party (4 adults and 4 children).

The gardens and pool areas are fabulous.....the pool is stunning, large crystal clear water and very safe for the kids. Very private and no noise...apart from the odd lemon dropping off the trees

I see most people have mentioned Mike and Bev, the owners. They were great and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time.

We've been to this part of mallorca before and will definitely come back and we'd love to stay here again. It's the best house we've stayed in.

Fantastic - private, quiet, very spacious

We were two families who spent 10 days here over the October half term holiday.

The house was exactly as described. Very clean, spacious and comfortable and it accommodated all 8 of us without us ever feeling like we were on top of each other. The grounds, terraces and garden are very private and very large! More than enough space to let the children wear themselves out!

Apart from the odd trip out to Pollenca or the port we spent most of the days by the pool - and what a pool. Large enough to swim in, pristine clear water and roman steps to the shallow end. It was hard to get the children out of it.

Eating in was a pleasure. The BBQ is large enough to cook for 8 on and the kitchen is well equipped. Eating outdoors every night under the terrace covered by Wisteria (I think) was a real treat.

Bev and Mike, the owners, were really helpful and even organised for their to be a few provisions at the house as we arrived on a late flight.

We'd love to come back sometime soon. Thanks again.

Great house - very private, very quiet.

We had a great time at Finca Can Gato. There were 8 in our party, us, my parents and our four children and their was more than enough room to accommodate us all comfortably.

The annex was great for my parents as it gave them a little bit of privacy when they wanted it.

The property was as described and the pool and surrounding terrace and grounds was magnificent. The owners were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay.

We'd love to come back.

Fabtastic time had by all

Firstly the owners, Mike and Bev - really helpful. Much better than renting off an agent.

We stayed the first two weeks of September and there were 8 of us - 4 adults and 4 children. The house was clean and very spacious, more than enough room to accomodate all of us and the annexe was a great way of giving my parents a little bit of privacy and plenty of space themselves. The pool and grounds are stunning and the area outside for eating is where we spent most of our meal times.

For me the best thing was there was no wifi - we had no choice but to talk to each other and once we got use to it................it was great! A family again, with no internet distractions (that only happened when we went into town). Two weeks of reading, talking, playing games, eating, drinking, swimming and lying in the sun.

The house is as described and is wonderfully private and quiet, tucked away at the end of a fairly long dirt road.

When we were there the orange blossom was out on the orange trees and the smell was lovely by the pool. Plenty of lemons on the trees as well helped with the G&T's in the evening!

The house is close enough to the old town and beach within the port to spend time at the bars and restaurants there when wanted a break - a short (5/10 min drive) and there's plenty to see in and around the area. We had a smashing meal at Cas Petro March which Mike and Bev recommended - it was only when we got there that we recognised it as the restaurant out of the Night Manager.

All round a really relaxing holiday and we'd love to go again.

A really great holiday - thanks

We had a great stay in this house. It is absolutely as described, if not better.

Its private, peaceful, spacious and clean with plenty of room inside and out (there were 7 in our party). The owners are really friendly and we got the impression they really cared about us having a good time - so thanks Mike and Bev.

We've been going to Pollenca for 15 years and have stayed in quite a few villas, but this for us is the best we've stayed in.

Fab holiday.......private, spacious as described

I've never left a review before for anything but when Mike (the owner asked me too) we had been that pleased with the holiday and the villa that I thought I should.

We went with my parents - so four adults and two children.

The location of the house is stunning - private, very quiet with views of the mountains.

The pool is something else - clean, clear water and enormous with roman steps at the shallow end which my elderly parents really appreciated. It was hard to stay out of and both children and adults loved it or just lying on the loungers on the patio next to the pool.

The annex was great for my parents and gave them there own space and a great view over the gardens and pool.

Eating outdoors in the evening was fabulous and the large bbq made cooking for 7 real easy...so easy that we spent most meal times at the house with the occasional night out in the old town of Pollenca or the port.

The house itself was as described - more than enough space for us, comfortable and very clean.

The owners, Mike and Bev, were really helpful - a big thankyou from the Banks's for a wonderful holiday
