The bottom floor of a large villa situated 5km from Tourrettes sur Loup, 35 mins from Nice Airport and 40 mins from Cannes. Comprises one bedroom, living room, shower room with separate toilet and fitted kitchen. Decorated in typical Provençal style, it has its own entrance and a large private terrace for you to sunbathe on. You will have use of the owners' pool, who live in the rest of the house with their cat. Private off-road parking. The views from the terrace are spectacular as the Southern Alps start a bare 2 miles from the property where one can find the entrance to the Gorge of the river Loup. From here one can visit Grasse (20 mins), the perfume capital of France, the medieval towns of Tourrettes sur Loup (7 mins), Vence (20 mins) and St Paul (20 mins) as well as sights such as Gourdon (40 mins), Cannes (40 mins) and Nice (40 mins). There are 6 golf courses nearby.

Further Details:

Very close to many superb restaurants ranging from Michelin 1 and 2 stars to typical French auberges and everything in between. Tourrettes (5km) has a small supermarket, butcher, baker, greengrocers, chemist, estate agents and an ATM, whilst Vence (12km) boasts several supermarkets and many other assorted shops and banks. Most are open Sunday morning. Italy is just an hour away, and there are weekly markets in many of the villages round about.

The area is of great natural beauty and is great for walking (not in July & August it's too hot), photography and painting (so many great artists came here because of the light), golf, visiting lovely mediaeval towns, bathing & sunbathing, and generally having a great holiday. Tourrettes sur Loup itself is a beautiful mediaeval "perched" village well known for the cultivation of violets for the perfume industry in Grasse, and as a meeting place for artists. There are many workshops for artists, potters, jewellers and weavers throughout the village.

Booking Notes:
Minimum booking of 7 days. Book direct with the owners, preferably by email. 30% deposit with booking, and the balance 4 weeks before the start of the letting period. Amounts to be paid directly into the owners UK bank account. Please note that a security deposit of £200 (preferably a cheque) is required at the start which will be returned if there are no breakages etc.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday. The flat must be vacated by 10.30am. Please arrive after 4.30pm.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week (Sat to Sat) in UK pounds and any charges levied for the transfer of the funds must be paid by the renter. Minimum rental period 7 days.

30% on booking and the balance 30 days before arrival.

  • Notes on accommodation: The flat is non-smoking and is only available between May - September inclusive. It is not suitable for those of reduced mobility. Outside: The house is situated 30 metres above the road and the drive rises through a sloping garden planted with mainly native shrubs (oleander, rosemary and lavender) together with agaves, aloes, palms and cycas. The garden behind the house contains 25 ancient olive trees on terraces. The swimming pool is 11 x 5m and 2m 10 at the deep end. You will have the sole use of a large terrace outside the flat for sunbathing. It is equipped with sun loungers, parasol, barbecue, table and chairs. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included in the price. Other: Free Wifi is available.
