Apartment in Oz-en-Oisans, Alpe D'Huez, Rhone Alps - Set In Modern Ski Station Only Mins From The Slopes
This newly furnished apartment is situated on the second floor of a modern residence completed in 2006. The apartment, which is served by a lift, has a spacious balcony with stunning views over the surrounding mountains. There is a ski locker located on the entry level and plenty of car parking spaces immediately adjacent to the building. The apartment is a short walk from the ski lifts, shops, bars, and restaurants. The resort is an ideal location for families. Cars are not allowed in the village centre, making it safer to stroll around. There is also a ski school and a magic carpet that serves a nursery slope and a dedicated children's tobogganing area which are often lit at night. Two ski lifts out of the resort link a vast ski area of 245km (3300m) with 121 runs, including the longest ski run in the Alps, the Sarenne at 16km. There are enough runs to satisfy every level of skier. At the end of the day you can ski back to the resort, only 150m from the door of the apartment.

About the Owner
We bought this apartment in 2005 off plan and took ownership of it in February 2006 upon the building's completion. At the time we bought, the whole family were novice skiers but we haven't looked back since and now eagerly await the onset of winter each year.
Working in a school, our use of the apartment is confined to school holiday periods and each year since 2006 we have managed to spend six weeks or more at the apartment, skiing in the winter and mountain biking (cross country and downhill), walking or climbing in the summer. There is plenty to do and see all year round and we are still discovering new things each time we visit.
The resort itself is great for families and the ski area that Oz links to is vast, catering for all ages and abilities of skier.

A lovely apartment very close to the lifts. The apartment had all we needed and more, with a friendly helpful owner. I would recommend Oz as a very family friendly area.

“We love Oz because it is a fairly small, family orientated resort that has all the advantages of being linked to the massive ski area of Grandes Rousses. The scenery is spectacular and the apartment has a stunning view of the mountainous landscape, with a balcony that catches the full afternoon/evening sun. Perfect for chilling out on after a hard day's skiing and savouring a bit of apres ski! Two cable cars (a few hundred metres from the apartment) head out of the resort to either Vaujany or Alpe D'Huez, providing endless opportunities for a whole variety of runs. The village has an ESF ski school, plenty of bars and restaurants, a bakery, newsagents and a mini supermarket for all the essentials. Not to mention a whole variety of ski hire shops!”

Grenoble/Isere airport (St Geoirs) 95km approx 1½ hour. Lyon (St Exupery) 145km airport approx 2 hours. Airport transfer available.
Bourg D'Oisans approx 20 mins. Les Deux Alpes ski resort approx 60 mins.
As well as numerous bars and restaurants, Oz ski station has a Tourist information office; indoor climbing wall; Sherpa supermarket; Credit Agricole cash machine, a boulangerie and news agents.

Remaining balance, plus £100 caution, required 8 weeks prior to departure. £100 caution will be returned after the rental period once the apartment has been checked and a full inventory taken. If the apartment is booked less than 8 weeks ahead of departure, full payment is required on booking. Cancellation policy: Up to 12 weeks: 90% refunded. 8-12 weeks: 50% refunded. 6-8 weeks: 25% refunded. Less than 6 weeks: no refund.

“The apartment was furnished with completely brand new furniture, fixtures and fittings in 2006. It is clean, bright and attractive and has everything you need to make your stay as comortable, and as home-from-home, as possible. The apartment is on the second floor of the apartment building and is serviced by a lift, making the transporting of luggage to and from the apartment, a little easier. Free car parking is available on the street immediately outside the building and there is never usually a problem with free spaces even in the busiest periods. The apartment is close to the main village centre and the nearest ski lift is a few hundred metres from the front door of the building.”
