Immaculate cosy little cottage, highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

A perfect comfy cottage tucked quietly away with easy secure access to the centre of Helmsley. On arrival we discovered a complementary bottle of wine, milk, bread & scrummy biscuits left by the owner, the cottage was beautifully presented & warm with the heating automatically set. The owner kept in touch prior to our visit to ensure we received accurate directions as the cottage may have been difficult to find, we found it without any hassle. There is one car parking space clearly marked & lots of free on street parking nearby. There are a large variety of quaint shops, places to eat, a Friday market, castle & gardens plus lots more within Helmsley. We took short drives out & walked across the moors at Rosedale visited the seaside & played golf, it was really lovely. If you love North Yorkshire I can highly recommend this gem of a cottage as the perfect base to explore the surrounding area. I would stay again.

There's moor to this place than meets the eye.

  • 5 of 5

An excellently located cottage, yards from the High St but completely quiet. Exceptionally well equipped and generous initial supplies. More spacious than you might expect.

Helmsley is ideal for walking or touring. We fitted in 3 abbeys, 3 castles, 2 houses, 1 cold war bunker, 2 seaside resorts and a ride on a steam railway!

Beautifully presented pretty cottage.

  • 5 of 5

Beautifully presented pretty cottage and warm on arrival, which was very welcoming on a chilly day. Thank you again for the welcome pack. Very near to the centre of Helmsley, where there are shops, pubs with log fires, coffee shops, art galleries and a little market on Friday. Superb coffee at the Black Swan. Would definitely recommend this property.

Just what we wanted

  • 5 of 5

Just spent a great week in this lovely cottage in Helmsley. We have used many cottages over the years but this cottage gave us everything we wanted from a holiday, from arriving to leaving. So private and so close to the market square with all its amenities. The owner of the cottage has gone to great lengths to put the vistors welfare first. Decor and comfort of the best. A repeat visit is a must.

Cornmill Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in this delightful cottage every year for the last five. It is always beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. The WiFi was a welcome addition this year. It is in a great position only a minute from the main square in Helmsley. Helmsley is a very pleasant place with plenty of shops and eating establishments. Cornmill Cottage is always welcoming.
