One of the best locations within the resort, the townhouse backs onto the 10th fairway/green of the top 80 world ranked golf course, with ocean view. The resort offers tennis courts, 18 hole golf course, driving range, putting/chipping practice, professional golf lessons, horse back riding, kids activities centre, and other leisurely activites. The townhouse is within a 5 min walk to the clubhouse, which has a large family bar, serving good food, and a seperate excellent restaurant. Residents can also utilize the 5* Marriot Hotel which is a 5 min walk away, where there are three additional restaurants, regular evening entertainment, a luxury spa and full gym. Also located within a mere 5 min walk is the stunning 10km long white sand beach, with lifeguard supervision. Inside, it is light and airy with access from all main rooms to the patio or balconies. It is situated by the large (approx 18 x 9m) shared pool and garden. Townhouse is fully furnished to high standards.

I live in Mississauga, Canada with my husband and two boys. Both my husband and I were born in the Silver Coast, Portugal and have made it our holiday home ever since our first son, Michael was born. We love everything about Portugal, have made friends for life. We choose to purchase our holiday home in Praia Del Rei, for its beautiful beaches, and it's close proximity to the city of Lisbon. The Silver Coast offers a true Portuguese cultural experience which we are proud to share with our boys.

Notes on accommodation: The house has central-heating, and parking for rentee and guests. Outside: Patio with BBQ, 2 oval tables, 8 chairs with views over the 10th green/hole and the sea. The shared landscaped garden leads to the infinity pool (18 x 9m) just 20m away. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, and iron/ironing board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels are provided (beach towels not included). Weekly change of linens and towels is included if a stay is beyond one week. Mid-week maid service can be requested at an extra charge. Other: Garage/storage room. Ideal to store golf clubs, surfboards, luggage cases, beach attires, and shoes. There is enough parking beside the townhouse for a hired car.

Great villa, fantastic holiday and pleasure to deal with.

From the start the communication from the villa owner, Lina was excellent in the booking process. This continued with Lina being very helpful with directions from the aitport and recommendations of things to do, places to eat etc. Lina couldn't have been more helpful. Also the security deposit was returned promptly at the end of the stay.

The villa was well decorated, clean and in good condition. Everything worked and the villa was well equipped - the kitchen particularly had everything we needed, where some villas we have stayed at in the past haven't been nearly as good. The villa is clearly the owner's home from home rather than a pure investment property and this was relected in the equipment, quality of the furnishings and the condition of the villa. The shutters provide good security when you're out and keep the villa cool, which made for a good night's sleep. My wifr and our kids (boys 8 and 11) were all very enthusiastic and loved their bedrooms and bathrooms.

When we were staying it was pretty quiet with most of the neighbouring villas empty so we had the shared gardens and pool more or less to ourselves. It was lovely to be able to lie on the sun beds, eat outside and enjoy the views to the sea and golf course. The outdoor area was great and benefited from both shaded areas and sun traps.

In terms of the overall location the resort is a great place to stay. There's tennis, golf, a driving range and kids club (various activities including surfing lessons, horse riding and paint balling were on offer) with a programme for younger kids and teens. We also had access to the Marriott Hotel, golf club/sports bar and other resort restaurants.

Visitors can have a great holiday in the resort but there's also loads to do in the area. We hired a car from Lisbon airport and spent some time out of the resort at Baleal beach (surfing/body boarding/lifeguarded bathing), Obidos (walled town/castle), sailing on the Obidos lagoon ( http://escoladeveladalagoa.com/en/. ) and time on the beach at Foz do Arelho (there are good value stalls on the promenade selling body boards, buckets and spades etc.).

We ate in as well as out so for our main food shop for the week we went to Pingo Doce at Obidos (easy to combine with a sightseeing visit). We then topped up (milk, bread, biscuits etc) at the little supermarket at Serra del Rei. I fel the resort supermarket was expensive and had limited stock.

Fantastic villa and a great holiday. Highly recommended.

Lieu très plaisant, loin de la folie touristique.

Proche de beaucoup de sites à visiter. Loisirs accessibles à proximité. Plage encore sauvage très agréable.

UNA ESTANCIA MUY AGRADABLE.

El adosado es tal y como se ve en las fotos,estancias amplias y bien decoradas.La casa limpia y bien acondicionada.Las vistas preciosas.La zona en la que está situada es muy tranquila y está muy cerca del mar,además tuvimos la gran suerte de contar con un tiempo muy agradable,sol y buenas temperaturas.Gracias a Lina por su amable acogida y por estar pendiente de cualquier irregularidad a pesar de la distancia.

Beautiful white 10 km white sandy beach is a 5 min walk from the townhouse, with lifeguard supervision. Also nearby is the beautiful bay style Beach of Baleal, which is only 15 min drive away.

Travel:

Lisbon is the nearest airport 45 mins (80km) away. Car hire is recommended in order to make the easy journey from Lisbon airport to Praia Del Rey and also to explore the area. Airlines: Air Portugalia, TAP and BA.

Distances:

The medieval town of Obidos and the fishing village of Peniche are 15 mins away. 5 mins from the Obidos lagoon. 1 hour away from the holy site of Fatima. 40 min boat ride to the island of Berlengas, a National nature reserve. One hour from the World Heritage town of Sintra. 10 - 30 mins from the main wine caves and vineyards in the region. 50 mins from Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.
