Apartment in Mijas, Costa del Sol - Quiet Urbanisation, 5 Mins Walk to the Village Centre

The apartment is on a small, quiet urbanization only a short walk from the centre of Mijas village. It is built on the side of the mountain with an uninterrupted south facing view, hence sun all day to the private balcony. There are 2 shared pools and a small garden area. One of the pools is just outside the front door, the other a few meters away up some steps. The apartment is on 2 levels having been constructed from part of the original Spanish house. It has high ceilings and rustic charm. Ideal for those who like peace and quiet in an idyllic setting.

I fell in love with Mijas whilst working in Spain on the ill fated 'Eldorado'. I purchased No28 in 1993 and No43 in 1998. I am very fortunate to have a lot of regular clients who return to the apartments year after year. This is not only a reflection on the extremely competetive prices but also the wonderful situation of the apartments.

just came back from a fantastic stay in mijas. we stayed in number 28 for the first week and was blown away with the house and its breathtaking views.the pool and surrouding gardens are superbly well kept.great for relaxing. we stayed at number 43 for the second week and was equaly impressed.mijas itself is a fantastic place with lots of great bars and restaraunts, also has a great bus service to take you to various places. highly recommended will definitely return. absolutely fantastic.

When we arrived at the apartment it was dark and we could not believe how wonderful and pretty all the lights looked from the balcony.

When we woke in the morning and then saw the view it was breathtaking, we spent many happy hours on the balcony.

The pools are very clean and very nice to swim in.

The apartment is lovely, homely with lots of character and charm. There is everything you need for a great holiday. We will most certainly be returning to this beautiful apartment. :)

Very very nice, magnificent view.

We fell in love with the wonderful view and the location in the town of Mijas, a little outside the center, but quick to reach the center by walking .

The location and views gave full value for money, it was also a nice apartment, perhaps a little worn kitchen, but otherwise in good condition. The terrace was about 12 sqm large and equipped with table, chairs and sun loungers that we spent all the time we were in the apartment. We really enjoyed the splendid views. 10 steps from the front door there was a nice pool, with the same beautiful view as from the apartment. The area around the apartment and pool area was totally new renovated and very fine. The other residents of the settlement were sweet and helpful. Just outside there was parkingspace, we were lucky every day, there was just room for us. Close to was a small grocery store and a bar with a restaurant and 3 blocks away a delicious restaurant, also with a magnificent view. The city is filled with bars and restaurants in all price ranges.

The apartment was a little difficult to find as the street it is on is so small that it is not on the GPS. But drive towards Coin, route A-387 "over" the city it will be easyer to find. Dont drive throu the town. We had looked area surrounding the apartment on Google Earth Street View, so when we first found the bar, it was easy.

We highly recommend this apartment and if we must once again visit Mijas, 2 persons, this apartment is our choice.

The urbanisation is within easy walking distance of the heart of Mijas, and yet far enough away to be a peaceful haven for those who like their peace and quiet.

Activity and Interests


Virtually the whole of the Costa Del Sol has a golden sandy beach which runs for miles and miles. The nearest is Fuengirola which is a 20 mins drive or bus ride from Mijas.


Nearest airport is Malaga which is approx 12 miles away, 25 mins by taxi/car. As an owner I have a discount code for a local car hire company which is worth 15%. The bus service in Mijas is excellent for getting around to Malaga, Fuengirola, Marbella etc. However the nearest bus stop is in the village, 10 mins walk from the apartments.


Mijas Village is a short walk away. A beautiful white Spanish village nestling in the hills. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The centre of Malaga is approx 15 miles away. Fuengirola is much nearer and probably about 3 to 4 miles away. Marbella is approx 20 miles away.

Further Details:

Mijas village is a beautiful white Spanish village with many bars, restaurants and shops. There are a couple of supermarkets and also an indoor market for fresh produce. There are several banks and cash machines around the village, everything one needs is there. However if you are looking for a lively nightlife this isn't the village for you. For this you have to go down to Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Malaga etc. There are plenty of larger and more lively places around.

If you should decide to book then a deposit of 50% is required to secure the booking. The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure. Payment can be made by way of cheque or directly via internet banking.

Changeover Day:
The apartment is available from midday on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. There is no preferred changeover day.

Notes on prices:
Lets of 3 weeks - 6 weeks receive 15% discount.

25 % deposit required to confirm booking. Balance payable 8 weeks prior to holiday.

The views are breathtaking. The urbanisation is small and yet boasts two pools, therefore they are never crowded and there is plenty of room for everyone to swim and lounge either around the pools or in the garden.

  • Notes on accommodation: Apartment is available at 1200 on day of rental and should be vacated by 1000 on day of departure in order to allow for cleaning. All bedlinen is included and an ample supply of towels, although not beach towels. Heating and hob by way of gas bottles. Should these run out during rental they will be replaced. There is limited parking directly outside the entrance to the urbanization, but more parking is available in nearby streets. There is a supermarket within a minute's walk and also two Spanish bar/restaurants. Outside: The garden area and 2 pools are shared. The larger pool does not have a shallow end and is for good swimmers. The smaller of the pools is L-shaped and has a shallow end ideal for non-swimmers and those just wishing to sit in the water to cool down. Neither pool is heated but both are well maintained. Each pool has a hard area around it for sunbathing and there is a lawned garden too.
