Tastefully furnished in a beautiful contemporary style and built to a very high standard. The three sun terraces overlook the tranquil Mar Menor, a warm salt water lagoon with a 7km stretch of palm tree lined sandy beach, and a promenade perfect for walking, cycling or enjoying ice cold drinks and tapas at one of the many beach bars en route.

We stayed in he apartment twice last year and found it delightful. Loads of things to do locally and the promenade was fantastic for early morning strolls and the children hired bikes locally and rode up and down for hours whilst we relaxed. We found a cinema complex with a bowling alley and my wife discovered some great places to shop. Weather was fantastic both times and the sea in the lagoon was a warm as bath water and the children could walk quite a distance with the water still only waist high. Would definitely recommend it! Apartment with defects and malfunctions

The apartment is in the ad described as a luxury apartment of very high standard, which also the rental price reflects - then we expect good quality and good service...

It is possible that we were unfortunate, but there were many factors that pulled down the stay for our part:

The worst thing was that the owner accused us of having caused damage to the oven which was defective upon our arrival. We were drawn for a larger sum for allegedly having broken it. The fact was that we never used it and it was broken upon our arrival. The owner claims the opposite ...

Furthermore, we had twice problems with the aircondition. It was down for three hot nights. The caretaker was present and spent an hour to repair it. Owner claims we were responsible for the error. Result: We had to pay for the caretaker who fixed it.

We were two adults and three children. This resulted in the need to wash clothes during two weeks stay. When this was to be used it was not working. We called the caretaker, but he could not fix it during our stay. Result: Two weeks of hand washing of clothes.

At the conclusion of our contract wifi was included in the rental price. Anyway we were eight days without wifi. This was dimmed by the owner that it was the poor conditions in the whole area, but the person in the neighboring apartment had wifi all the time ...

Moreover, there were large amounts of ants in every room and on both floors in the apartment - it sought especially to food. We even found some 50 ants inside a small backpack we had standing in the living room and its presence was directly disgusting.

The owner has formulated a tightly written long contract which should be read carefully in advance. Our belief is that you risk being held financially liable for the smallest things. We were, for example, pulled in the deposit that it had come a little spot on the sofa. A spot that we not see upon departure.

The owner made a big case out of the spot, but did not say anything about the pillows that was in the sunloungers on the 2nd floor balcony. These were so nasty and full of sweat stains that we had to cover them with carpet before we would sit in them.

Positive things: The building itself and the area is pretty nice with palm trees and had a swimming pool at a distance from the apartment. This was very nice and was used often. Otherwise it was a very good restaurant just off the seafront.

But it's very muddy water in the sea nearby the apartment.

I absolutely adore this area and with every visit I feel a great sense of peace and tranquility from the location. It's great being able to go for long morning walks with beautiful scenery and to just wake up to the sound of the sea. There is something new to enjoy every time we go. During our recent visit we found a new restaurant in Los Narejos with roof terrace dining and fantastic Sunday roasts called Rosalinds.

The Mar Menor has an international sailing school and there is kite sailing on the lagoon directly in in front of the apartment.


Imagine, just a short walk from your apartment to a sandy beach with calm bathing, restaurants and bars. There are over a hundred beaches along the Costa Calida ranging from tiny deserted coves which are only accessible by boat, to vast stretches of sand with every facility imaginable.


Approx 2.5 hours from the UK and 5 minutes drive from San Javier airport. Well served by a comprehensive range of low-cost airlines. Alicante airport, 45 mins away is an alternative. All the major hire car companies are located within the airport terminal. It is advisable if hiring a car to book your vehicle in advance. Although many amenities can be reached within 10-15 minutes. Car hire is recommended as there are numerous local areas of interest.


Short stroll to a superb selection of restaurants offering international cuisine. Local amenities include street markets, a fully equipped gym and Spa, numerous golf courses, Windsurfing, water sports, pedaloes and boat trips on the beachfront. Karting, horse riding and bowling within easy reach. The historic province of Murcia is 50km, The naval port of Cartagena 20km Aqua Park 25km.

A popular tourist destination for sun lovers, enjoying approx 325 sunny days each year. The world health organisation states that the weather in Murcia offers one of the healthiest climates and one of the best places to live. The monthly average temperatures during June, July, August and September surpass 21ºC. Temperatures do not go below 10ºC in the mild winter. La Mar de Músicas is becoming well-known as one of the best music Festivals in the world. The Festival takes place during July and its main stage is the Parque Torres Auditorium, which is on a hill where you can see the port, the amazing archaeological remains of the Roman Theatre and the city. San Javier International Jazz Festival is held in the ‘Parque Almansa’ Auditorium during July it has become one of the most important jazz Festivals in the country. All-time stars such as Chick Corea, B.B. King, The Blues Brothers, Herbie Hancok, George Benson have performed here. The pedestrianised town centre provides a good mixture of shopping and eating opportunities; There are also a number of supermarkets, banks and a chemist within easy reach, catering for your everyday needs.

Much talk has been circulating the internet with rumors about the up and coming major theme park that is going to be built in Spain. There are actually hearsays about which major company will set up base in Spain. Disney is one of the names that is mentioned about this issue. Just to clear things up, Disney is not setting up a new franchise in Spain, but Paramount Pictures is. The Paramount Theme Park will be built on a lot measuring around 1.59 million square meters, located close to Alhama de Murcia at the intersection of RM2 and RM23. In relation to specific details about the Paramount Theme Park, plans are yet to be announced in the next few months, but one thing is for sure, it will certainly be something that will give visitors a good reason to come and visit Murcia, and boost its tourism industry.

A £200 deposit is required to cover damage/breakages and will be refunded no later than two weeks after vacating the property. The apartment overlooks a communal garden and you have sea views from the balcony. There is an unlandscaped plot beachside which does not affect your view.

But equally if you walk along the promenade you can reward yourselves with ice cool beer at the array of beach bars that line the route! There is no shortage of restaurants to tempt you either. If it's Golf you are looking for there are 7 exceptional quality golf courses all within easy reach of the apartment. And shopping is just a 10 min walk away.
