Traditional Farmhouse 30ftX15ft Private Heated Pool, Hot Tub Games Room Log Fire

Overview

Property

Updated: 31-Oct-2016
3 Beds 3 Bathroom 'Private Pool' 'Hot Tub' Games Room, WIFI Private gardens, 3 Patio, Short Distance From Domfron

The house is ideal for family and small groups of friends. There is something for everyone.

The house is a large traditional old farmhouse with beamed ceilings, loads of character, there are log fires in the games room and in the lounge.

The property is situated 3km from the historic Medieval City of Domfront. The local village and bar is just a 5 minute walk away. Central location for touring the historic sights of Normandy.

The house is surrounded by its own private gardens, there are many places to sit and enjoy the natural surroundings. There is a fixed bbq area at the bottom of the garden and a mobile bbq so you can bbq anywhere in the garden. There is a play area with sand pit, swings, and assortment of toys for our younger guests.

The Heated swimming pool 30x15ft is safely located in a private fenced off part of the garden. There are sunloungers and a patio area here.

The 6 seater, 72 jet, hot tub is indoors and can be used at any time of the year. We also provide bicycles.

Spacious Games room with pool table and football table, log fire, etc.

2 Mins from Carp fishing, 15 mins Trout fishing. Golf 15 mins away.

CHRISTMAS

If you have ever thought of escaping Christmas, this area is not for you! The local villages spend time and money ensuring that you are more than aware that Christmas is approaching. Absolutely magical is the best way to describe a Christmas in France.

We have a degree of decorating at the house, a tree with baubles and a few Christmas decs. Or completely mad and over the top. Sit around the log fire and enjoy a Mulled Wine. The decorations are outside the house as well as in. When you book we need you to tell us which you prefer.

Thinking of New Year?

Domfront has what you want, come and join us while we watch the fireworks with the castle as the backdrop and the fireworks set to music. Again with the Mulled Wine.

We were all delighted with our stay and felt the property exceeded our expectations. The facilities were excellent, lovely bathrooms, brilliant games room, great hot tub and a real haven of a garden. The house was in pristine condition on arrival and your advice and kindness helped to make it a perfect week. You were even kind enough to arrange a week of sunshine for us! We couldn't have asked for more.

Very best wishes to you both.

Our 3rd visit to this little piece of heaven. The farmhouse is enough in itself for a perfect holiday. Food and wine!!! enough said. Kathryn, Kevin, Helen. Stockport

Thanks for having us. The house is beautiful and such a pleasure to stay somewhere so comfortable. We've really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back. The Leak Family USA.

Fantastically charming, hidden gem.

Stunning property with a fantastic garden. The house and facilities are superbly clean. The games room is the best we have encountered so much so that the television was never needed. Perfectly peaceful break, except for the happy sounds of my children having a great holiday. Dawne and Bob have thought of everything needed to make your stay an enchanting experience and they are super helpful with information of places to eat and visit.

Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

We chose this house as it looked so lovely on the pictures and on arrival it did not disappoint. We were met by Dawn the owner who could not be more helpful. The property is large, very traditional and very well equipped. The lounge is large but cosy with a wood burner and comfortable leather settees. The kitchen was well equipped and the adjoining dinning area ideal for the six of us. The bedrooms are roomy and warm. Useful en-suite with the double and well equipped family shower room. Outside there is a lovely garden with a BBQ area. The hot tub and games room were a hit with the youngsters. There is also a pool but we did not use this due to the time of year. The house is a 5 min drive from Domfront which is lovely with a castle and quaint streets which are great for a wander. The nearest bakery is also here. All in all we would thoroughly recommend this pretty gite.

Fantastic Find For All

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful house and home, with amazing facilities for all age groups. The hot tub was an added bonus for us to relax in after the days activities. This house offers something for everyone, the pool was great for the children, the games room/bar was like having a night out and conveniently close at hand. It was comforting to have Dawne and Rob on hand to offer advice and help if needed. The whole experience here will make you want to come back for more...which we hope to do again. Many thanks to Dawne and Rob for sharing this wonderful house xx

A truly relaxing break

  • 5 of 5

Dawne and Bob have thought of every little touch to make this a home away from home. They are superb hosts, very welcoming but happy to leave you to potter around and certainly never intrude! The gardens, games room, pool and hot tub were all thoroughly put to good use and our boys (aged 7,8 and even the teenager!) said it was the best break they'd had for a while.

The location of the house is such that you are guaranteed some peace and quiet but have activity on the doorstep should you want to venture out (the local town of Domfront has some castle ruins and Flers is a larger town with restaurants and cafes, though to be fair we spent most of the time at the house enjoying the amenities and the beautiful weather, which speaks volumes)

All in all, can very much recommend.

A place to relax

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a fabulous base to explore Normandy look no further - great area with lots to see and do for all ages.

The house was everything and more, the hosts are very accomodating and made the holiday even more relaxing wth all the little extras. The swimming pool and hot tub are a real treat and the gardens beautiful and a quiet place to sit and enjoy the suuroundings.

The property was clean and well equipped - home from home.

Lots of history to explore Bayeux and the landing beaches are a must. For the animal lover Alligator Bay is well worth a visit.

The local markets are well worth an early start for and the food did not disappoint.
