Welcome to our home !

My villa is my pride and joy and has been my home for ten years, the villa is at the end of a private very quite road and not overlooked at all, I'n fact most of the year the villa is the only one occupied.

Because it is in part my home it's furnished accordingly

with a super comfortable large sofa big screen TVs offering all sky channels, BBC etc and some foreign channels.

The villa comes with everything you need to make your stay a perfect one all kitchen utensils are provided and there is AC in the two main bedrooms and living room.

The villa has a log fire for the winter and radiators in the bedrooms so it's always warm for those winter weeks were it gets chilly in the evenings.

The linen is all top quality cotton bedding, new pillows every year and luxurious high quality towels.

The main bedroom has a large screen tv and a memory foam king size bed.

Outside there are two bbq's one large and a smoker for the more keen cook, with four seating areas to choose from depending on the time of year and the sun.

A large sized garden laid to grass and pergola area compliment the Roman stepped swimming pool, and if that's not enough there is a large double hammock to relax in under the shade of the palm trees.

We are a family with two young children. We have owned the villa for Five years and really enjoy it.

We enjoy a quiet holiday and love to spend time on the beach or around the pool with our children.

We have a busy life atback relaxing holiday.

Why Steve johnson chose Chiclana de la Frontera

We saw the holiday location on a place in the Sun and as the area we had looked at (Moraira) was now out of our reach financially, we thought we would give this area a try.

When we first arrived we were not sure about area as was so totally different to other places we had visited, but after a few days we fell in love with the area, not seeing signs for full English Breakfast etc and the fact that it is still very Spanish with fantastic beaches and restaurants and never seems to get overcrowded even in the high season.

We just love the tranquility the beaches and the people, it is very safe for our children.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: The lounge has Air conditioning and has a log fire and heating for those rare occasions when needed. Bedrooms have room heaters and portable heaters also. The pool is set in beautiful landscaped gardens with Roman steps into the water so easy access for children. All information is correct at time of submission, however items can get broken in our absence and we endeavor to correct as soon as possible. Outside: The villa is in a large secluded garden with its own pool a large double hammock compliments the patio area beside the pool the second patio area is under cover has a comfortable seating area and a large tiled table beside the BBQ, we have outside music if wanted. The pool has Roman steps, pool shower. The garden is laid to lawn with large palm trees, attractive plants and fruit trees. Double gated drive that can accommodate up to 3 cars. The villa has a 6ft wall surrounding it and is completely private. Just close the gates, sit back relax and enjoy your holiday! Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided and the property will be cleaned prior to your arrival. For two week stays a second set of linen is provided for you to change half way through. Please bring you own beach towels. Other: Bicycles are available to hire through our sister company www.cycllingespana.com Golf clubs available to hire

Second visit and it keeps getting better

This is our second visit to steve's villa, the last time was a couple of years ago.

Much has changed the garden has had another patio area built near the kitchen which just adds another dining area.

The villa has everything you'd need, the kitchen was well provided with all untensils youd need even down to a slow cooker and tassimo coffee maker.

The sofa is super comfy and something we have found lacking in other villas likewise having a large TV in the bedroom didn't help us getting up early !! It was great relaxing with a coffee and watching the news.

The best thing however is Steves keenness to please,much like last time if we wanted a certain style of food or know anything about the area we only had to txt Steve and he was straight back with some suggestions, the fact he lived in Spain helps as he knows the area so well.

We definitely will be back again some time and cannot recommend the villa and Steve highly enough.

Excellent pool and garden but poor domestic facilities

Nearby towns and beaches are excellent as is the garden and pool but the villa is let down because of the very basic interior and equipment. Dishwasher and toaster didn’t work properly and missing fly screens let in mosquitoes. Lack of normal shower and intermittent water supply didn’t help matters. With relatively minor investment this villa could be great.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the comments, there are mosquito screens so I don't understand that comment, thanks for letting me know that half of the toaster has stopped working I gather two slots still did but my cleaner has since purchased a new one. This winter we will be replacing the dishwasher and washing machine. When we heard you had issues with the water we turned the irrigation off which solved the problem, and we have since fitted a stronger pump. The shower has been checked and works perfectly so I'm sorry I don't understand your comment. I appreciate your feedback and glad you loved my garden and pool, I'm very proud of the house and will make sure the comments made will be resolved.

Super villa and great host

A great little find, Steve could not do enough for us helping with choice of restaurants and getting tickets for diving.

The villa is at the end of a quite rd the neighbour was Spanish but only there during the weekend.

The house is obviously Steves home as it had all the things you'd expect from a lived in house the outside was amazing and laying in the hammock having a wine was the perfect end to a perfect day

Good times

Having stayed now for the third time at mr Johnson's villa , we love the getting away from it all, close to beach , close to good restaurants and if you want stay in and BBQ .... Have also took the benefit of mr Johnson's cycling tour , which if I was a little fitter , would have been great to push on to do 60 miles to really appreciate the scenery and countryside. Also very nice to ride on roads which are quiet and smooth! All in all a great time.

House with pool ideal to explore the Costa de la Luz

The house is ideal to explore the costa de la Luz by car. The communication with Steve is easy and fast. The pool and garden are well-maintained. The kitchen has all you need.

All in all we had a wonderful week in chiclana de la frontera.

This area is ideal for the keen cyclist with many quiet roads to explore and hills to push yourself if you require we have cycles available to hire please look at our cycling holiday site www.cyclinespana.com, Having done this myself I can highly recommend it.

For those keen on water sports the area is fantastic for Kite surfing,windsurfing and surfing, lessons are available.

If you love horses then this is the idela area to visit with the Andalucian horses all around and the fantastic Jerez Horse festival along with the jerez horse show, there are also many riding stables where you can enjoy a ride through the pine forest or along one of the many beautifull beaches in the area.

Coast/Beach:

We are a short 5 minute drive from the nearest beach, however there are many beautiful beaches in the area some small beautiful small coves and then you have your beaches with long stretches of sand that go on for miles and are very rarely crowded even in the peak season.

Travel:

The closest airport is Jerez which is 40 minutes away by car, there is also Seville and Gibraltar both are just over a hour away. To enjoy this fantastic area a car is recommended.

Distances:

A fantastic base for those of you who want to do some sightseeing. There are many beautiful white hill top villages near by, Seville, Jerez, Cadiz and Vejer de la Frontera to name just a few. These places are full of narrow winding streets with fantastic buildings and many lovely restaurants, having visited most of the area a number of times I never get bored and always find something new.

Further Details:

This area does not only have fantastic beaches but also has two very good water parks for those of you who are bit more daring.Both parks have slides for the kid in all of us but also have two very good water areas for the smaller children having travelled to many resorts throughout Europe I have found these to be among the best with safety a priority.
