Casa Hibiscus – a modern, semi-detached holiday villa – is situated in a well-maintained, private and gated complex of six holiday homes, which share a solar heated 3.5 x 5 meter swimming pool. Located just back from the sea in the traditional Canarian fishing village of Punta Mujeres, the holiday villa has been individually furnished to a high standard with families in mind, sleeping up to six guests, plus travel cot in its 3 bedroom. Casa Hibiscus can be rented alongside the smaller Casa Lila, which is next door but one, making it perfect for families or friends travelling together.
Casa Hibiscus is entered from the private, fenced and gated terrace, leading straight into a light and airy open-plan living/dining room, which has been furnished in a simple, contemporary style and has WIFI, TV, DVD, basic satellite and CD/stereo. Laid out over three floors, the villa has stair gates fitted throughout to ensure peace of mind for guests with young children.
Casa Hibiscus (3 bedroom) and Casa Lila (2 bedroom) are both modern holiday villas less than 100m from the sea, located in the tranquil coastal village of Punta Mujeres. Situated in a well maintained, private and gated complex of just six villas, perfect for families or couples, these villas are fully equipped for all your holiday needs. Michelle purchased this villa in 2004
When we decided to holiday let we choose this particular location as at the time we lived in the same street. Our 4 children were all less than 10 years old and what we loved was being able to spend hours of time exploring the rock pools along the rugged coast line which is just in front of these villas. The little cove beach is also perfect, it has sun all day and is protected from the wind. This is a perfect place to snorkel there are lots of stunning fish to see and underwater lava flows to explore. Punta Mujeres is a sleepy fishing village where time seems to stay still -enjoy your stay!
Casa Lila and Casa Hibiscus are 2 of a total of 6 villas set in a cul-de-sac road so its a nice quiet street. From this street you can access the sea front road which is again very quiet a lovely to walk along.
Just back from staying at Casa Lila. Probably one of the best generally equipped Villa's I have ever stayed at. Punta Mujeres is fairly quiet but great location for relaxing or exploring the island. Michelle and her team are very helpful and great fun! We will definatley be using Lanzarote Retreats again but in another location to experience other locations. Casa Lila is a lovely villa and we do not see how anyone would be disappointed staying here however a car is essential as not much nightlife nearby, but we went for a relatively relaxing holiday so were not too bothered. We actually got engaged whilst there!!!!! Thanks for an enjoyable holiday Michelle.
Stayed for a week in Casa Hibiscus in May 2010. The owners were hospitable, friendly and obviously cared about customer service. They even gave us a lift to a local restaurant and back. The house is very clean and well equiped in a pleasant, quiet village with small bars and 2 good local restaurants and idyllic quiet beaches nearby.
We allow flexible changeover days and can accept stays of less than 7 nights wherever possible. Please contact us for more details.

I'm a seasoned Lanzarote visitor and Casa Lila is definitely up there as one of my faves (it always helps when you can hear the sound of the sea as you go to sleep)!
It's got lots of room (no tripping over suitcases) and with different floors, you can find space by yourself to switch off and read a book (so perfect for families). It had all the utensils I needed, comfortable beds, use of the pool and it was close to shops, restaurants and the beach bar!
Arrieta is a lovely little village that is more for the locals than the tourists really. It's not overly lively, but it has enough to keep you local every evening and still find somewhere different to eat.
If you hire a car you can get to Teguise, Costa Teguise and loads of other great beaches (if you like surfing you're spoiled for choice).
The owners make sure you're informed of anything that's going on in the area, and they know all of the best places to eat (and drink :)
As a family of four, this worked out at much more cost effective than a hotel, and we had the freedom to do what we liked, when we liked.
A great trip (as always)!
