Casa Clare is a well equipped and comfortable house situated in the unspoilt and traditional village of Manta Rota. The house which has 4 bedrooms is laid out over 3 floors with access to a bathroom on each floor. There is a patio area with BBQ and shower. The two main bedrooms have balconies. The village has a variety of restaurants, bars, shops and a small supermarket. The house is only a 10 minute walk through the village to the beautiful blue flag beach. Manta Rota is perfectly positioned to explore the Algarve. Tavira, Monte Gordo, Vila Real de Santo Antonio and the Spanish town of Ayamonte are all within a 15 minutes drive.

Activity and Interests


Manta Rota is situated on one of the best blue flag beaches on the Algarve. The house is a 10 min walk through the village to the beach. Sunbeds and umberellas are available for hire.


Car hire can be obtained from the airport. 35 min drive from Faro Airport. 90 min drive from Seville airport. There is a bus service which runs through Manta Rota from VRSA to Faro

The train service which runs almost the length of the Algarve stops in the neighbouring town of Vila Nova da Cacela. There is also a taxi service in the village. From VRSA you can take the car/passenger ferry to Ayamonte.


Aqualand and Zoomarine are within a 40 min drive of Manta Rota. 35 min drive to Faro. 30 min drive to Olhao. 15 min drive to Tavira. 10 min drive to Monte Gordo. 15 min drive to Vila Real da Santo Antonio. 15 min drive to the Spanish town of Ayamonte. 90 min drive to Seville.

Further Details:

Manta Rota has a local indoor fish, meat and vegetable market, located at the beach end of the village. Internet and ATM facility available in the village. The village also has a well stocked local supermarket and butchers. There are also larger chain store supermarkets within easy driving distance of the property, Lidl in Vila Real, Intermarche near Altura, Preco going towards Tavira. Bicycle hire is also available in the village and in Altura.

A food/starter pack is available on request. Prices start from 15 euros and is payable locally.


Rental rates


  • Booking Notes:
    25% non refundable deposit secures booking. Balance payable within 8 weeks of departure. £150 refundable deposit for breakages and damage.

    Changeover Day:
    Saturday preferred. Other days considered if available. Access to the property will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival. The property must be vacated by 10 am on day of departure.

    Notes on prices:
    Prices are per week in UK Pounds. Discounts for lets in excess of 3 weeks.

Both double bedrooms have balconies with loungers/chairs. Sun chairs provided for the beach. The shared pool area also has a shower. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bathroom towels and bedlinen included. Please bring you own pool/beach and tea towels.For 2 week stays a mid stay clean is included. If you require additional cleaning this can be arranged for an additional cost. Other: Dining area is spacious and provides ample room for dining inside.
