This fantastically positioned 3 Bedroomed ski-in/ski-out apartment is situated on piste and only metres from a fast 4-man chairlift which whisks you away to 265km of ski terrain. Situated in the Grand Masiff it is interlinked with a very modern computerised lift system to its neighbours, Flaine, Les Carroz, Samoens and Sixt. A superb ski area with long blues & greens through trees for the beginners, beautiful reds and taxing blacks and off piste for the experts. Boarders are also catered for with 3 state-of-the-art terrain parks. Only just over an hour from Geneva airport or 8 hours from Calais, it is the ideal ski area with something for everyone. Perfect for families as everything is so close.The Grand Massif has a great snow record, always in the top 4 in Europe due to its proximity to Mont Blanc. A real gem of a place which is truly authentic French. There is an underground garage and ski locker. It is on the 5th floor with 2nd floor piste entrance, great views. Wifi enabled. There is no lift.

About Lesley & Steve Jayne

We live near Southampton with our 3 children (two young adults and a teenager). We had our first family skiing holiday in 2010 and loved everything from the beautiful snow covered mountains, the exciting atmosphere of a ski resort to the simple fun of exploring the pistes. After considering investing in a summer holiday home for several years, but not being convinced of the sense of it, a ski in/out mountain ski apartment in a wonderful part of the French Alps seemed to tick all the boxes. Two exploration trips later and a lot of investigation work and here we are proud owners. Check out our separate website.

Outside: There is a large balcony with table and chairs for outdoor eating with superb views over the Criou Mountain. In summer there is access to a shared small swimming pool. The area around is car free and has immediate access to the mountains for walking or mountain biking in the summer. It is an easy drive down the mountain to the village below where there is a host of other activities available both summer and winter. Utility Room: There is a shoe/boot/helmet storage unit in the hallway and extra cupboards under stairs for storage. There are also many extra hooks for hanging coats in the hallway and landing.The stairs lead upstairs from the living area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Guests are asked to leave the apartment clean and tidy as they find it, strip beds and remove all rubbish. Towels and bed linen are included. A cleaning/security deposit will be taken and refunded on satisfactory inspection after departure. Other: The first floor of this duplex apartment has a separate WC, 3rd bedroom, hallway, kitchen and living area with steepish stairs leading up to the bathroom and 2 further bedrooms. Travel Cot and High chair are available.

Great appartment

We had a fantastic week staying in this apartment - it was well situated for ski in/ ski out, spacious for the 5 of us, good to have all the facilities and a split level apartment. Morillon Les Esserts is a lovely family friendly resort and we would definitely come back to stay here,

Absolutely brilliant location. We were very lucky with conditions. Plenty of snow!

The resort is excellent . Good location and easy trip from Geneva. The accommodation has everything needed for self catering. It is in a fantastic location, ski in / ski out and extremely close to the major ski lift. Fantastic for shepherding small children!! We were 2 families (9 people in total) works well as long as don't mind a bit of a squeeze!

Wonderful location for young skiers. Apartment is not for elderly (5th floor - no lift!)

It's an ideal location for young skiers. Beginners start lessons close by. Good skiers can ski straight out of the building. The skiing area is extensive and varied.

The accomodation is tight but does sleep 8 in comfortable beds. The kids and grandkids had a great time, but the grandparents found the stairs (5 floors) hard to climb. The fridge was not adequate for 8 people; fortunately it was cold enough to keep some food and drinks outside.

Great Ski Holiday

We had a lovely time at this apartment. The location was great and we were able to ski and ski out. We used to come back for lunch which was brilliant, and enabled the little ones to have a rest before they headed for the afternoon skiing. It was easy to get to the ski school, and having the boot room at the foot of the piste was really handy. There are a few stairs, which weren't a problem for us, despite me having suffered a knee injury skiing in January, and actually it was a welcome warm up and cool down.. and justification for a croissant or two!

We were a family of four, plus grandparents and my cousin and his son, and the accommodation worked well... in an ideal world we would have had another bathroom rather than just a toilet, but it was good value and really nicely presented so we were really happy with our choice! Thank you.

Special interest holidays:

In the summer this is a great venue for a different summer holiday. The Alps provide tranquillity and a serene timeless backdrop and enough varieties of mountain action to suit everyone.

Mountain walking, mountain biking, rafting, canyoning, canoeing, lake and pool swimming, riding, golf, via ferrata, painting and just relaxing in the wonderful clear mountain air.

There are plenty of historical places to visit, gorges, zoos and plenty of restaurants and mountain refuges to taste local Savoyarde specialities.


Morillon is very easily accessible from Geneva airport, 60km away, approx 1 hour 20 mins. One of the nearest ski resorts. Hire car advised but local transfers are available. Please ask for details.

By car it is approx 8 hours from the channel ports and an easy drive being motorway all the way until the last 30 mins.

There is also a train service from the French ports to Geneva. Alternatively you can take the Eurostar to Paris/Lille and then the TGV to Cluses 30 mins away.


Morillon 1100, Les Esserts is purpose built on a lovely plateau above Morillon Village in the Giffre Valley which is only a short drive down the mountain and to its neighbour Samoens, 2 miles away. Flaine is a lovely drive around the mountain about 45 mins by car. Skiing is quicker! The lovely town of Annecy with its lake and medieval town and stylish shops is an easy 45 mins away for a day out.

Further Details:

There are a few shops and a supermarket, some restaurants and bars up at Morillon Les Esserts. For more choice Morillon village and Samoens have more variety.

Booking Notes:
Please contact us to make a booking. A deposit of £200 is required and full payment 8 weeks before departure. Our terms and conditions must be read, booking form filled in and travel insurance is required. A refundable security deposit of £250 is required. This is returned after the apartment is checked and keys returned. We ask that you leave the apartment clean and tidy.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday to Saturday. Clients are requested not to arrive before 4pm and to depart by 10am.
In the summer there is some flexibility with days and timings. Please enquire.

Notes on prices:
Towels and bed linen are included. Please leave the apartment clean and tidy. Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
