Verdemar 111 is a luxury holiday complex with an open air pool, heated indoor pool and childrens pool. It provides a gym, sauna and jacuzzi and a children’s play area, Private WiFi in the apartment. Our apartment is on the 4th floor and has excellent sea views from the terrace and all rooms. Quality furnishings throughout. Perfect for all year round holidays, short or long breaks. It is also only 10 minutes drive from the world famous La Manga Golf and Sports complex. Playa Honda is on the Mar Menor which has a higher sea temperature than the Mediterranean beacause it is shallow. This makes it ideal for all sorts of water sports including swimming, sailing, canoeing, water skiing, jet skiing, fly surfing, windsurfing, diving and snorkelling. It is also very close to the La Manga strip.

Comfortable and convenient, lovely holiday apartment

This apartment is located in a very well run block which was clean and secure. The location is convenient with beach, shop and restaurants just a few mins walk. There is a lovely pool which was very well managed. Mostly Spanish families staying. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable, very well equipped and had everything you could possibly need. Lovely views of pool and sea from the balcony.

Great holiday

A lovely, relaxing holiday filled with fun, sea and sun! The apartment was great and well equipped. The wifi didn't work the first few days, but the problem was sorted. The local supermarket has an impressive meat selection! The sea (lagoon) is warm and so safe for the kids. Highly recommend!

Clean and well-equipped with great wi-fi

The booking and check-in processes were very efficient with the owner and property manager being both friendly and helpful. This is a good-sized apartment, it is very clean, well equipped and has excellent wi-fi - better than we have at home at times. We were there out-of-season so there were hardly any other people around. The indoor pool and sauna were most welcome, especially as I had put my back out. The property manager recommended La Manga Camping and Caravan Club as a place for lunch. Pretty it isn't, but it serves decent tapas and massive glasses of wine. Just the ticket on a clear but chilly day. The nearby town of Cabo de Palos is quite attractive, specially the marina and seafront. El Muro de la Sal, which is the last bar/restaurant towards the lighthouse end of the seafront, is well worth a visit for dinner. The wild beaches of Calblanque National Park are fabulous out of season, too. With temperatures occasionally reaching 22 degrees, even with a brisk breeze it certainly beat inner-city Bristol in February.

lovely Apartment

We stayed at this apartment for two weeks in February, the apartment is really lovely clean and very well equipped and has a very large balcony with sea views, wi fi and English channels on the TV. lots of facilities on the complex and secure parking underground. lots of security so felt very safe and secure. three good restaurants in walking distance, as well as a few beach bars for drinks and snacks were open in February, but very quiet everywhere which is what we liked.

Thoroughly Recommend

Situation of this apartment is ideal for us with friends in Playa Honda and Caravanning La Manga. Lovely restaurants at Cabo (5 mins drive), great little beach bar called Zankarra right opposite. Handover was good (be ready to buy a property from Phil :)) the key handover man) and complex clean and tidy. As this was an autumnal/winter break, the outdoor pool was closed and the apartment balcony did not get any sun. Not much we can do about the suns orbit !! Apartment was clean, comfortable and well furnished. Mary the owner was on the ball with paperwork and any help needed. Would recommend without hesitation, cheaper than staying in caravans and much nicer.

Highly recommended

Myself and may family including 2 children staying in this lovely apartment for 2 weeks in August. The accommodation itself is a good size, and is clean and well appointed with everything you need to feel at home. The balcony is large and gets some wonderful sunshine. The location is great, within a well maintained complex with a fantastic swimming pool - which is overseen by a lifeguard every day - and a children's play area. The beach is a couple of minutes walk and is perfect for young children. Sandy and shallow and warm. Cartegena is a great place to visit for the Roman Amphitheatre, port and castle and for some great places to eat. The owners were helpful and efficient and the arrival/departure was well organised. All in all a lovely place to stay.

We loved the location of this apartment, it had to be very close to the sea for us and this one also offered many more facilities than others in the area. It's great to visit any time of the year and we spend as much time as possible here.

Nearest Airport : San Javier (Murcia) at 38 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : beach bar at 25 Metres Nearest Ferry : Cartagena at 33 Kilometres Nearest Golf : La Manga Club at 2 Kilometres Nearest Train : Los Nietos at 10 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : MU312 at 150 Metres Nearest Restaurant : Village centre at 75 Metres Nearest Beach : Playa Honda at 25 Metres Car: not necessary


2 mins walk to the beach with may others both on the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean within easy reach.


Murcia airport is about 20-30 mins drive. Alicante airport is about 1 hour drive. Car hire is not necessary although great if you wish to explore the surrounding area. Pick ups from Murcia airport can be arranged for you.


Cabo de Palos with its harbour and excellent local fish restaurants is well worth a visit and only 5 mins by car. Cartagena is the nearest city (an ancient city) with a large harbour, sight seeing tours, archaeological interests and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. 20 minutes drive. It can also be reached by local train from Los Nietos.

Further Details:

The village of Playa Honda has a few restaurants, bars, a local supermarket and chemist all within 200m. at the most. There are also beach bars. Banks and larger shopping facilities are available at Cabo de Palos, about 5 mins by car. A go cart track, mountain bike hire, horse riding, tennis etc. are all available locally.

From the Owner

The apartment has a lot to offers and we loved the facilities with the swimming pool, childrens pool and play area. Gym, sauna, Jacuzzi. Then in the winter the heated indoor pool. There are excellent sea views from all rooms and we love the location, summer and winter.
