Apartment in La Cala de Mijas, Costa del Sol - 5 Minutes Walk to Blue Flag Beach

Registered with Spain Tourist Board License No.CTC-2016115857.This nine year old ground floor apartment is situated in La Cala de Mijas, between Malaga and Marbella, a beautiful coastal village that still offers a typical Spanish lifestyle but with all amenities necessary for an enjoyable holiday. The blue flag beach has children's play areas including a fantastic pirate ship on the beach edge. The village itself offers at least 40 bars/restaurants and we are very fortunate to include two of the coasts most exclusive 'Olivias' and 'El Oceano Beach Club' within walking distance. During the summer months La Cala plays host to some fantastic events including, beach concerts, Spanish festivals, and even open air cinema screens on the beach! Our beautiful apartment is a 5 min walk from the beach and a further 3 mins into the village centre, however within around 200 yards there is a small selection of shops, bars, restaurants a newly opened Lidl supermarket. It comprises of air-con/heating, jacuzzi spa bath, plasma TV and DVD, huge terrace.

Notes on accommodation: This apartment would suit 2/3 adults or a family with up to 2 children. Outside: Beautiful gardens with plenty of well kept lawned sunbathing areas, with main pool and seperate children's paddling pool, and luxury changing areas/toilets. Not forgetting the large sunny terrace in our apartment which is private and completely secure for young children, furnished with quality outdoor furniture. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen provided (not beach towels). Other: One of the main features of this apartment is the huge secure terrace, at 41 sq.m. this is a great suntrap. Furnished with two outdoor tables and chairs sunloungers and Bar-B-Q.

Great Apartment..Great Complex/Location

Had great holiday in December Spacious apartment with fantastic terrace which had all day sun and completely sheltered..A real Sun Trap! Location was perfect with Lidl supermarket a one minute walk and the complex which had tight security was amazing. Lovely grounds with super clean pools. Several bars restaurants and shops within a couple of hundred yards and the town and beach just over a five minute walk.. Will certainly be returning in the near future

Relaxing stay

Thoroughly enjoyed my first stay in La Cala nice to find somewhere that still has Spanish restaurants and bars and isn't overrun with English places! Great holiday apartment very convenient for supermarket, read several books whilst enjoying the spacious sun trap of a terrace. Hope to re-book soon.

Brilliant apartment in a great location

Our stay in this family friendly apartment was excellent. We were most impressed by the grounds, proximity to the beech and local amenities. Having a Lidl on the doorstep was fantastic and made picnics on the beech a delight. The spacious balcony was a real sun trap and an ideal place to have a glass of Rioja at the end of a fun filled day. We look forward to returning to this well kept and beautiful apartment, the owners have taken great pride in their accommodation and this is very much appreciated when you have young children.

lovely sized apt for 2 people good position for buses and supermarket and all amenities.the apts furniture is alittle tired, but the complex was superb and made up for that,the pool was lovely and clean and the complex kept tidy.The apt does boast a large patio which is right opposite the main motorway E7 which is like our M1 but we still slept well although it was a little noisy in the day.This wouldnt stop us rebooking the apt.We had no satellite tv when we arrived which was advertised but the owner was kind enough to help us and get a new box for the apt.overall we had a smashing holiday and would recommend this apt.Brenda who looks after you when there, was also a very helpful lady.

Owner's Response: Thankyou for your review. This time of the year after a very busy summer of bookings the apartment always needs freshening up which we always go over to do in October. Your point about the E7 road is not the motorway but the main coastal road which runs right along the Costa Del Sol and through La Cala it is only 200 meters from the beach so no matter where you stay in La Cala you will get some road noise. In front of the apartment there is a park area where trees were planted in front of our terrace outlook and now they are a few years old they are starting to mature and grow quite large so it should not be long before the apartment is completely screened. We were pleased to hear you had a wonderful stay and that you will be looking to book again next year

A 5 minute walk will get you to our blue flag beaches, with a good choice of beach bar/restaurants and also children's play areas.


Malaga airport is our nearest at only a 20-30 minute drive, airport collection is easily arranged at reasonable rates and whilst car hire is not neccessary it can also be arranged at an extra cost.


Five minute walk to La Cala, five minute drive to Fuengirola (water park and excellent zoo), fifteen minute drive to Marbella and Puerto Banus, plus many more Spanish villages to explore!
