We had a very restful, peaceful weekend in this beautiful location, living in a built up area has made us appreciate the tranquil peace and quiet of the countryside.

We were given such a warm welcome by the hosts and the accommodation was very clean and tidy and there was everything provided for us.

We would reccomend this charming holiday let for a break, we came away feeling refreshed as its away from the hustle of traffic and everday stress, see for yourselves.

Away from it all

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful , peaceful little hamlet and the owners Sandra and Derek were absolutely the perfect hosts and we were welcomed with a Dorset Cream Tea, forget the calories this is a must to start your stay. Everthing you could wish for in this delightful self contained appartment and the peace and quiet is something to be believed, excellent views and tranquil surroundings for walking if that's your thing there's a farm shop and tea room 50 metres down the lane. There is beutiful garden to relax in if you prefer, also the rooms and facilities are great with all linen etc. provided for your use. Obviously a car is required to get there and to visit the other sites and scenes of the Isle of Purbeck but the ideal place to get a way from it all........ give it a try folks you certainly won't regret it.

Lovely rural cottage

  • 5 of 5

This small cottage set in rolling countryside is an ideal base for touring the Dorset area. The owners were friendly and the Dorset cream tea they provided on arrival was most welcome. This was our first visit to Dorset and there was lots to see and do within driving distance.

Fuchsia Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have vistied Fuchsia Cottage twice and will certainly be returning. The property is beautifully furnished and immaculate, with lots of personal touches. Sandie and Derek always greet you with a warm welcome and are always willing to give you any information about the local area and facilities. The little veranda overlooking the beautiful garden and Purbeck Hills is a bonus and ideally situated to sit and chill with a glass of wine in the evening, There is also garden furniture on the patio that you are able to use.

There are lots of lovely walks from "Fuchsia Cottage" and it is well situated to discover attractions such as Blue Pool and Corfe Castle, both of which we have walked to! They are both easily accessible by car. If you are feeling energetic you could always walk over the ridge (Sandie or Derek would give you directions) to the local pub The New Inn at Church Knowle, which is about a 30 minute walk. We would recommend the food.

If you enjoy the countryside and like to explore on foot or by car and like to feel totally relaxed at the end of your holiday, this is the place for you. We cannot recommend it highly enough for couples of any age.
