New villa, equipped and furnished to a very high standard. Casa Sophia is well located both for the traditional villages of Guia and Vale Parra and superb beaches and golf courses. The property is in a quiet area and has a beautiful private pool with extensive balconies and sun terraces. It is air-conditioned throughout and enjoys the benefit of 4 bathrooms. The Algarve shopping centre is only a 5 minute drive away with its extensive range of boutiques and shops and the large Continente hypermarket which is well known for its fish counter. Both Vale Parra and Guia have numerous bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets and the nearby beaches of Gale, Castello and Salagados have excellent stretches of fine sand, beach bars and watersports.

About Graham and Andrea Craddock

Graham and Andrea have been coming to the Guia, Albufeira area since 2000 and we have owned property there since 2003. In July 2009 we moved permanently to the Algarve with our two youngest children. We know the area extremely well and are very happy to spend time with our guests on the telephone explaining places to visit, restaurants to eat at etc. Casa Sophia is beautifully furnished and we pride ourselves on presenting the property to a high standard. Why Graham and Andrea Craddock chose Albufeira

We bought Casa Sophia in 2007 as a brand new property. The property is close (walking distance) to the village of Guia which we love because it retains a local feel whilst having a good range of family friendly restaurants. We are also 5 mintes drive from Vale da Parra which also has a selection of good restaurants. Guia is in the middle of the Algarve and ideally situated for the fantastic beaches and other attractions like the sand sculptures and Zoomarine both of which are only 5 minutes away. The house is in a quiet area and we have nice neighbours around the property. Cliff Richard's Algarve house is stone's throw away from the house and you can visit his vineyard in Guia. For golfers there are 30 courses within 30 minutes of the house so plenty of choice.

What makes this villa unique

Our house is very well equipped and all rooms are air-conditioned (included in the price) which is a must in the summer. The pool is very private and there are plenty of places to sunbathe and shelter when it is too hot. We also have lots of first floor terraces which are very pleasant for watching the sun set. The house is in a quiet location but the bright lights of Albufeira are very close and a walk into Guia to enjoy the restaurants there takes only 10 minutes.

Outside: The 8m x 4m pool is available for the sole use of guests and heating is available, if required, at an additonal cost. The pool also has a thermal cover which heats the pool during the day and retains heat at night. The terraces are well equipped with patio furniture including table and chairs seating up to 8 people, umbrellas, sun loungers. There is an outdoor shower. There are gardens to the front and side of the property with plenty of lawned area. The villa benefits from security gates so the property is completely enclosed. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, and a second fridge freezer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Regular maid service with bed linen changed weekly and bathroom towels twice weekly. Pool towels are changed weekly. Other: The villa is child friendly with a baby pack available and security fencing between the villa and the pool. It also has a wide range of garden furniture in order to make most benefit of the private pool and gardens.

A lovely well maintained property.

We stayed in Casa Sophia for 10 days on a family holiday. The villa was spacious, clean & comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with all you could need. The lounge & dining area looked out on to the pool area at the back.

The pool was large & ideal for the kids who spent most of their time there. There was a large patio area with a dining area for evening meals.

The villa is just outside Guia which has a large supermarket & a choice of restaurants. It is also only a short drive to Albuferia.

We all enjoyed our stay & hope to return.

Wonderful Relaxing Stay

Just wanted to thank Graham and Andrea for providing us with a wonderful break at Quinta da Isabella. Lovely accommodation, property, gardens and pool. The property felt secure and safe. Lovely views down over Solgados golf course to the open sea. Lots of good authentic restaurants within a few minutes drive. the beach is about 5 minutes drive away and the holiday town of Albufeira is about 10 minutes drive. The is a nice outside covered dining area. The wifi is effective and can be accessed from outside.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this as a place to have a relaxing stay with lots of amenities only a few minutes drive away.

There are a dozen beautiful beaches within a 15 minutes drive of the villa with the closest beaches of Gale and Salgados only 5 minutes by car.


Only 30 minutes from Faro airport. Car hire is essential for getting to the beaches and golf courses. The owners have an arrangement with Auto Jardim to help guests with car hire arrangements.


Local attractions include Water slide parks, Zoomarine, Krazy World and a wide range of watersports at the local beaches. Within half an hour by car are the historic towns of Silves and Lagos where it is possible to join dolphin/whale watching trips from the marina.

Further Details:

Guia and Vale Parra have a good range of local shops, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, cafes, restaurants etc.

A £500 per week deposit is taken at the time of booking, with the balance due 10 weeks prior to departure. A refundable security deposit is also payable prior to departure.
