Overview

About the property

Apartment in Kato Paphos, Cyprus - Peaceful Location, yet Convenient for Supplies, Transport and Amenities

Perfect location and very central, includes wifi at €3 per day if required. The apartment is situated next to a garden centre and across the road is the famous 'fruit market', not just fruit and vegetables but everything needed from milk, bread, essentials, beer, wine/ spirits, meat, fish and cereals. Convenient enough to have fresh supplies every day. Located close to all amenities, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, designer shops galore and within easy walking distance to the harbour and uptown market. The apartment itself is in the middle of an L-shaped sheltered complex, so all you have to do is sit back, relax chill out on the balcony or on the sunbeds by the pool in the sunshine. In Kato Paphos you've probably heard of its attractive harbour surrounded by a variety of fish restaurants (recommend the Oyster Bar and The Pelican - fabulous food!) overlooking a mixture of fishing boats, yachts and pleasure boats with of course the Byzantine Turkish Fort at the head of the harbour.

Why Carol Wilkinson chose Paphos & Suburbs

We bought our property in Cyprus because we enjoyed holidays on the 'island of dreams'. The weather is so warm for most of the year plus the people are so friendly.

There is plenty to do and see for all ages, plus if you hire a car they drive on the left as us English.

While we are not over there we like people to enjoy our apartment situated very central in Kato Paphos convenient for shops, restaurants, designer stores. We like to cater for families and couples with all facilities for 4 people to stay comfortably.

Within walking distance to main attractions and areas plus there is a good local bus for 1.50 euros one price for all locations up to Coral Bay. Day tickets 3 euros.

The troodos mountains area is stunning well worth a visit, as is Polis, Latchi, Lara Bay, Tala, list is endl

Guestbook comments from the owner

Lovely warm temperatures averaged 30 deg C, stayed for 2 weeks travelled around on the bus only 1.50 euros or daily ticket to hop on and hop off for 5 euros. Hired a car for 5 days to explore Troodos mountains, Polis and Latchi, Pissouri beach, Lara Bay, Aphrodites rock and large Monastary at top of Paphos. Loved zoo and parrot/owl show. Nice walk around the Harbour to the beach bar at Tomb of the Kings. Great beaches at Coral Bay and Pissouri. Walkway around Paphos to the beach and the large Hotels lovely coastline. Endless choice of restaurants to eat out in traditional, Chinese, Indian, English, Italian all serving excellent food at reasonable cost. Nice apartment, the pool area was nice to relax around or have a dip, and the handy large supermarket across the road was very convenient for all our supplies.

Apartment is near bars and restaurants, one way is the designer shops, banks and shopping areas, the other way is down to the harbour with boats, yachts and market area. There are nearby all the shops you would ever need from souvenir, to supermarkets, restaurants and the famous 'fruit market'.

For the party animals Kato Paphos if not Ayia Napa, however it does possess its own Bar Street to suit all ages. If you like big screen Sky Sports with native English owners, Irish Bars, fun pubs, its all here. However in some bars you will come across traditional Cypriot folk music and dancing all ages can join in, but the Potiri dance is reserved for the Cypriot experts. You try dancing with 50 glasses on your head!

For people of all ages of course, there is also the famous Water Park in Paphos a favourite day out with slides, waves, sliding hills, water rings, gentle drops down to the water below to more spectacular cascades. Great family day out!

For the photographer there are the breathtaking views from Peyia village, Aphrodite rocks and all along the coastal walk which stretches northwards from Kato Paphos.

There are plenty of choices, quiet areas and parks to stroll in, beaches to dip your feet or swim, zoos to see all the birds and animals, water parks, views from Peyia village, Coral Bay with golden sands, Polis beach, Tombs of the Kings to see all the historical sites, golf courses to play on, cheap and friendly buses to get around, reasonable car hire to explore further afield and all this with marvellous sun sun sun hottest times being June - September, pleasant around April/May and October, moderate in January - March, November/December.

Whatever your tastes or whatever you enjoy doing you'll find it all here on your doorstep and beyond ideal for families and couples. Food very reasonably priced vast selection, beaches nearby and beyond, zoo, water park, golf, boat trips, glass-bottomed, hire and diving. Spectacular scenery, markets and harbour.
