Villa in Cumbre del Sol, near Moraira, Costa Blanca North - Wonderful Sea Views from all Rooms and Terrace

This 3 bedroom/3 bathroom villa with air-conditioning and free wifi is situated on the popular Cumbre del Sol development overlooking the Mediterranean with the delightful town of Moraira about 4km away. The nearest beach is a small cove about 2 kms away with 2 bars in season and a bus service and the main beaches at Moraira and el Portet with ample free parking are within 10 minutes by car. Another delightful cove, Granadella, with its 2 seafood restaurants, can be reached by an easy coastal walk. Larger resorts such as Calpe, Javea and Denia are less than 30 minutes away whilst Benidorm, with Aqualand, Terra Mitica etc. is about 45 minutes away. Moraira is a charming small town as yet undiscovered by package holidays; however, there are many restaurants and good-quality shops to cater for all needs. There is an excellent market on a Friday and there are also markets in all the other local towns and villages. There is excellent mountain walking nearby and several clubs offer free guided walks. Golf is available nearby (a handicap certificate is needed) as is tennis, horse-riding, bowls etc.

About the Owner

The owners are retired professionals living in Shropshire and this is their second home.

After buying a plot of land on Cumbre del Sol, the villa was designed by them in conjunction with a local architect.

The furnishings, paintings, etc are therefore their own choice.

The garden also was entirely made by themselves digging out the mountainside.

They are keen cooks, mountain walkers, gardeners and travellers, driving down to the property from the UK on several occasions.

Perfect patio with extensive seaview and nice pool

A nice villa with a pefect seaview and a nice pool. During the day we were out on different trips with our car to different beaches, markets and towns and then it was lovely to come back to the villa in the afternoon/evening. Just relax on the patio with a Sangria and a nice seaview and whenever you like, take a dip in the nice pool.

This is the second time we rent this property (last time was 4 years ago) and I wouldn´t be surprised if we come back in the future.

We usually rent villas/apartments 2 times a year in different countries and when comparing, this is a really nice villa.

Location

From the Owner

Access to both beaches and mountain walking but away from over-popular areas and large built-up areas and towns. We looked around all the Mediterranean coast of Spain and decided that this area was by far the most pleasant with good year-round weather. Winter time is for walking in the mountains, Summer is for the pool and beach. Spring and Autumn provide wonderful blossom, colours and fruit. Local markets, Javea, Moraira and Teulada are a delight.

Nearest Airport : Alicante at 90 Kilometres Nearest Train : Teulada at 8 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : Benissa at 15 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Cala Moraig at 2 Kilometres Car: necessary

Coast/Beach:

The nearest cove is Moraig with two bars in Summer, about 3 minutes away by car but the fit can walk. Moraira and el Portet are both about 6 mins by car and Oliva with its sand dunes is about 30 mins. Arenal beach at Javea is about 15 mins away and is bordered by numerous shops and restaurants. A boat can be taken from here to Calpe and Altea. Calpe beach boasts numerous seafood restaurants, all enticing you in with free sangria! The large beach resort and port of Denia is 30 mins away.

Travel:

There is easy motorway access from either Alicante (60 mins) or Valencia (75mins) airports costing about €6 and Murcia is about 30 mins further away. Car hire from each is around £12 a day and is essential for the enjoyment of this holiday.

Distances:

Apart from the beaches, if you can drag yourself away, there are numerous places to visit - mountain villages such as Guadalest, Parcent, Col de Rates above Parcent,Tarbena and, in Spring, the whole Jalon Valley is ablaze with almond blossom. Restaurants and bars abound and there is usually a fiesta somewhere.

The fleshpots of Benidorm are reached in 45 mins; off-season it is delightful especially on a Sunday afternoon when it is full of Spanish families.

Further Details:

The property is managed on our behalf by a local lady who will meet and greet and show you around the villa;there is no extra charge for this unless you arrive on a Sunday or very late at night when a small fee is payable direct to the manageress. A 24 hr emergency service should anything unforeseen happen.

The nearest supermarket is on Cumbre about 5 mins away but there are several in Moraira and at the bottom of the hill, and every village/town has Mas y Mas or Mercadona with a range as good as anywhere in the UK. There is a comprehensive folder with all necessary details of places to visit, local events, restaurants etc in the villa.

The owners are keen mountain walkers and there are details of walks in the villa; the Costa Blanca News has details of guided walks available by the Costa Blanca Mountain Walkers group and their season runs from September to May.

There are excellent local markets at Moraira, Javea and Teulada with an extensive selection of fresh fruit and vegetables and other goods.

Changeover Day:
We are prepared to be flexible about change-over days out of the main season as we know how much fares can vary. We ask you to vacate the villa by 10am on the day of departure and to arrive after 4pm.

  • Notes on accommodation: There is a blow-up bed with electric pump for a child in the box-room. There is also a travel cot and linen can be provided.There are also several walking books, games, many,novels, DVDs etc. Please note that this is a no-smoking, no-pet property. The television has over 40 channels including BBC and ITV and SKY Sports. Outside: The professionally-maintained private pool is kidney-shaped and 8m x 4m with lighting. There is outside lighting on the two terraces, table and chairs for outside dining, a range of sun-loungers and chairs, and a chimenea-style barbecue. The garden is planted with a range of local trees, shrubs etc.and is professionally- maintained. Utility Room: Washing-machine, beach equipment (chairs,mats,buckets and spades etc) collapsible airer, assorted chairs, extra longers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen is provided, including beach towels. The property is cleaned before and after rental and linen changed weekly. A meet and greet service and 24 hour emergency cover is provided by our local manageress who can provide a welcome pack at extra charge. Other: A glass- enclosed naya - terrace room - with wonderful views and table and chairs for indoor eating if weather is inclement. Box Room with iron, ironing board, cool boxes, plastic crockery for use on terrace, BBQ equipment, rucksack, walking poles etc.
