Modern 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the private swimming pool (locked and gated for private use of residents). This lovely 2 bed apartment is privately owned and is well maintained and cleaned to the highest standards. Fully equipped with TV, DVD player, DVDs, cards, books, crockery, cutlery, George Forman Grill, microwave, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, clothes maiden, etc. There are ceiling fans in the double room and lounge, a floor fan in the twin room, a built-in safe in the double room. The apartment is ideally located with the Thalasia Health Spa and 'La Sal' restaurant and ice-cream parlour practically on your doorstep. Within walking distance to clean safe blue flag beaches, restaurants, pubs, health spa, market, bus station. Only 15 min drive from Murcia airport just of the main motorway. Nice quiet area with lots to see and do.

About The Owner

We are a married couple with a 3 year old daughter. We have been renting the apartment for the last 3 years and visit at least 3 times a year. Unfortunately for us it is usually out of season and the apartment is normally booked throughout the summer months.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2007

Why The Owner chose San Pedro del Pinatar

The perfect location. Close to all amenities such as restaurants, beach, salt lakes, bars, supermarket. Beautiful picturesque area with lots to see and do. It is only a 15 minute drive from the airport. If you wish to stay on complex during the day there is a swimming pool that is locked for private use of residents only so unlike large complex where the swimming pool area can be very packed our swimming pool only ever has around 15 people max. We chose this area due to the warmer climate and that it is still very Spanish (yet the local speak English) and very friendly.

What makes this apartment unique

For peace of mind the keyholder lives on site as a point of contact should you have a problem whilst you are on holiday. We have had people lock themselves out, forget the safe code etc and the key holder is on site to help. Most private lets just post you the keys in England or just leave them for you in Spain. If you need help there is no one there - which can be very worrying when in a foreign country and can spoil your holiday.

"Just come back from a 3 day mini break with the girls. We had a great time, weather was good, apartment clean and welcoming, slept really well. A quiet area, but an ideal place to catch up with friends. Restaurants good and people friendly. Supermarkets close by was a bonus. Car hire not needed if you're only staying a few days. We used Clydegrove Golf Club airport transfer, who were excellent. Will be back again next year" - April 08 (3 Adults)

Notes on accommodation: This property has been successfully rented over the last 9 years. Unlike most private lets we like to provide a personal touch. You will be met upon arrival by an English keyholder who will show you around the apartment. The keyholder lives nearby and will be your point of contact in case of emergencies, so you are not left on your own (as with most private lets). Highchair and baby bottle sterliser. Smoking is only permitted on the balcony. No pets. We can provide contacts for airport transfers, nursery equipment hire. Outside: Lounge leads onto a decent size balcony equipped with table and chairs. There are no apartments overlooking the balcony. The balcony is also shaded so is great for cooling down and having lunch. Utility Room: Small outside utility room with washing machine and room to dry clothes. Mop, bucket and brush. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided. Towels are changed on a weekly basis. Beach towels are not provided. Cleaning charge of 50 euros is payable upon arrival. Mid-stay clean can be arranged at an additional charge. Other: Communal swimming pool/kids pool with locked gates for private use. Balcony with table and chairs.

Just back from a fantastic week.

Apartment exactly as described and immaculately clean. Had absolutely everything we needed plus more. Lots of nice touches to make holiday even more enjoyable.

Lovely communal pool area, didn't get crowded even on hottest days. Spacious private balcony not overlooked.

Plenty to see and do in local area. We didn't hire a car and managed fine. Lovely restaurants close by and supermarkets if you wish to self cater.

Would definitely recommend!

Un lugar muy tranquilo y los vecinos muy agradables.

Nuestra experiencia ha sido positiva. Las camas eran cómodas y la casa estaba equipada con todo lo que necesitábamos.

El único inconveniente son los 50€ que entregamos por servicio de limpieza. Me parece excesivo ya que, cuando entramos, la casa no estaba muy limpia que digamos.

Si los que estuvieron antes de nosotros pagaron 50€ para la limpieza también...

Location

Coast/Beach:

The Blue Flag beaches of the Mar Menor beaches with their warm shallow waters are approximately a 5 minute drive (15/20 min walk), these beaches stretch for miles with plenty of traditional Spanish restaurants/cafes to stop in along the way. The Mediterranean beaches are a 5/10 minute drive along with the new San Pedro Marina/port with restaurants and bars (this is a lovely walk). The La Salinas Salt Lakes and Nature reserve are close at hand. You can bathe in the mud lakes for free.

Travel:

The newly refurbished Murcia airport (San Javier) is a 15 minute drive. Alicante Airport is about 45 minute drive. The apartment is located just off the motorway and is easy to find. Car hire is reccomended but not essential. Cycle hire is available nearby. Main bus station is a 10 minute walk. We can provide contacts for reliable English speaking airport transfers.

Distances:

Supermarket: 5 mins walk.

Restaruants: 5 min walk

San Pedro: 15 min walk, 5 mins drive.

Salt and mud lakes: 10 mins walk, 5 mins drive.

El Mojon: 10 mins drive (lovely Mediterranean restaurant).

Torre and Pilar: 10 mins drive.

La Manga: 30 mins drive.

Murcia: 30 mins drive.

Cartagena: 30 mins drive (Shopping: Ikea, Toys R Us etc).

Torrevieja: 30 mins drive.

Cabo Roig Strip: 15 mins drive, very lively, loads of pubs and clubs.

The motorway system is excellent and really easy to use.

Further Details:

Set in peaceful surroundings yet everything you need is close to hand. There is a market on a Monday, the newly opened Thalassotherapy Centre and La Sal Restaurant is practically on your doorstep, which offers a wide range of relaxing theraputic treatments, Jacuzzi, Bithermis showers etc. There is just so much see and do in and around the area. The area itself is very Spanish and has such a friendly atmosphere. It caters for old, young, couples, families. Just let us know what you need and we will let you know where to go. There are areas with bars on the beachfront or quieter areas with traditional restaurant. We go at least 3 times a year both with and without kids.
