Beautiful Apartment

Absolutely gorgeous apartment which was a home away from home and has everything you would ever need. Very quiet and peaceful with lovely views and only a 10 minute walk into the town. The town itself is very pretty with cobbled streets and lots of nice eating places. The owner Paula is lovely and a pleasure to deal with and the Manager Carlos is the same. Definitely recommend x

Lovely, relaxing holiday

We stayed for a week this July with 3 teenage girls. Immaculate well equipped apartment with everything you could need. Drive from airport takes about an hour and the directions are easy to follow. We rang Carlos as we left the airport & he was at the apartment to greet us on arrival. Ideal location as peaceful but only 5/10 min walk to busy harbour - so perfect for whole family, as something for all -swimming pool, beaches, nightlife, old town to explore. Also supermarket only 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk and little convenience store a minute's walk away - so all very relaxed and stress free.

Lovely, relaxing and affordable

My partner and I were looking for a peaceful, tidy apartment near to Lagos to stay for 9 days last year. Having not been to the Algarve before, or knowing anyone to give us a recommendation, we spent a few weeks on owners direct and contacted a few people with apartment that were in our budget.

Paula got back to us straight away and was extremely helpful in giving us information and arranging our stay. When we arrived we found the apartment easily with Paula's directions and were met on time by Paula's friend to show us around the apartment.

We were both struck by how well maintained the apartment was. It was clean and had every mod con available. The kitchen and facilities were excellent, living room was nicely designed, large, modern and comfortable to relax in. The balcony was also lovely to relax on in the evening overlooking Lagos and the sea.

The apartment is well located within a nice, easy 15 - 20 minute walk to Lagos town, which takes you through the marina and is lovely. Or it's a 5 min drive.

In all, we felt blessed that we had chosen Paula's apartment to stay in. If we were to return to that part of the world, I wouldn't hesitate to arrange staying at Paula's apartment again.

Winter Escape

A lovely place to escape to for the last 3 Scottish winters. Calm and quiet location but close to Lagos Marina (with our favourite bar Lazyjacks), shops and restaurants. The view is all the way to the horizon...with a large balcony to appreciate it. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable and well maintained accommodation. Agent Carlos always available, helpful and friendly. And early in the New Year (2014) we will be packing and planning our next visit in this lovely flat.

Beautiful apartment

We would highly recommend this apartment. It's spacious, immaculately clean, tastefully furnished and very well equipped. A real home from home.

The harbour area is lovely to walk around in the evening and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. We did go on one of the dolphin boat trips and this was a truly amazing experience.

If you are looking for a peaceful place that is within walking distance the main town, you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful appartment

We came, we came again with friends, and then we came yet again with other friends! Each time we found Carlos very helpful and the flat is absolutely amazing. Everything you could possibly want is there (down to the free exchange library of books in the entrance to the block) and the location is superb.

Paula is an excellent and very friendly owner.

We thoroughly recommend this flat.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Faro at 74 Kilometres Car: not necessary


Meia Praia Beach is a wide sweep of golden sand, 4 km long which edges the Bay of Lagos and is 10-15 min walk away or few mins by car. It is spacious, clean and safe for bathing. Sunbeds and umbrellas can be hired for a very reasonable fee.Dotted along it are excellent beach cafes and restaurants serving the best of local produce.Other beaches such as Dona Ana are easily reached by car, bus or a longer walk. The whole coast is full of wonderful beaches and beach activities. Details in info pack.


From Faro Airport it is 74Km and about an hour by car. Or take a taxi from airport into Faro bus or train station. Train or bus from Faro centre to Lagos about 10 Euros. Shuttle services are widely advertised at about £25 pp return. Car not essential but very useful if you want to explore the fabulous sights of the Algarve coast (or go shopping in the huge malls at Albufeira and Portimao!) Internet searches for car hire from Faro Airport should provide plenty of choice. Contact owner for advice.


Lagos Town centre is 10 min walk through the Marina and over the pedestrian bridge. The station is 5 mins walk and the bus station 10 mins. Lisbon is about 280 km away and the train goes there as do the buses - but it's a long journey. All other places of interest are within easy driving distance of Lagos. Cape St Vincent, the most western point of Europe is worth a visit and is about 40 min drive. Luz and Burgau, Alvor and Portimao are all worth seeing.

Further Details:

You might find that you barely have enough time to investigate all that Lagos and its environs have to offer. The restaurants, cafes and pubs are excellent. Food is fresh and not expensive. Wines are wonderful. The local supermarkets stock everything you could need and understand the needs of foreign visitors very well indeed. There are markets held in Lagos or round and about most days. Loule market is easily accessible by train as the station in Loule is right next to the market. Dancing on some Friday nights to Brazilian music in the town centre is fun. For football and other sports fans, there are plenty of very good pubs and cafes with TV coverage of all sports. There is an autdrome close by and easy access to waterparks and zoos. The best way to get the most out of your visit is to do some internet research yourself or use the information pack provided in the apartment. Whatever you do here, you will have a fabulous time!
