What makes this villa unique

Safe area, very spacious house. Renting this house is good value for money because it is close enough to the beaches of the rio Miño and the Atlantic ocean without paying high prices for a beach property. You can enjoy really good quality food and drinks for a very affordable prices in the local cafes and restaurants. Or do your shopping at the local shops or supermarkets for low prices.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed at Villa Vilachan in late September 2007 and April 2008 & enjoyed it so much that we are about to return again. We have rented many holiday villas across Europe and have found Villa Vilachan to be the best. Kim Neal, Manchester May

We had selected this property on the basis of its location both in terms of climate and sight-seeing, and are happy to

report that the holiday delivered on both of these. Some of the beaches we visited in the area were exceptionally attractive and local towns and cities also had lots to offer. Meals out in restaurants were consistently good - especially the seafood. Overall we found much to recommend this accommodation and would not hesitate to return in the future. Kate Bowers, August 2008.

All in all one of the best bases we have stayed in to discover the unspoiled coast and countryside of Galicia. We will definitely be back, from the friendly welcome to the beautiful weather all could not have been better. Geraldine Jones, June 2008.

Peaceful and splendid location

  • 5 of 5

The villa was very well stocked with everything you needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. It was in a nice quiet setting, tucked away, but in close driving distance to the beautiful coast line and towns. Jolanda was very helpful and always on hand for any queries or concerns. The villa was beautifully presented with everything in good working order. There was outside water works during our stay which impacted on the hot water. Jolanda had a plumber out straight away and sorted it out within the day. Her service was excellent. We really like the area for it's 'off the beaten track feel' and would recommend it to anyone who likes to escape the summer crowds. I would highly recommend this property, for its location and quality.

Great holiday everything was perfect the pictures don't do it justice. spotlessly clean and well maintained, 5mins from town with great bars and tasty tapas, excellent location for exploring the area with lots of interesting places and things to see. Yolanda was very friendly and efficient nothing was too much trouble,we have already recommended the villa to friends and family and will definitely stay in the villa when we visit the area again.

Great house in a beautiful location!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house in a beautiful location in a picturesque and peaceful area of Northern Spain with stunning views across to Portugal. The location is great as a starting point for visits to areas of interest from mountains to coastlines of both northern Spain as well as Portugal, a mere 15 minute drive away across the Bridge of Friendship. It is furnished to a high standard and is very comfortable as well as being very well equipped. We were greeted with a welcoming basket, including wine and all the essentials. It's the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

The owner was very responsive to any queries we had and also provided excellent and friendly local assistance. We would thoroughly recommend staying here!

Lovely property in a peaceful setting.

  • 5 of 5

A very well equipped and comfortable property and perfect if you enjoy cooking - which we do! Lots of places nearby to visit and plenty of different types of beaches both in Spain and Portugal. Although water is quite chilly there are plenty of beaches to explore - some calm and others perfect for surfing. We had a lovely holiday here.
