Manta Rota is a pretty village with an abundance of restaurants, based on one of the Algarve's best blue flag beaches. Casa Isla is 10 minutes walk to beach, it has an outside barbeque area and kitchen/shower. The master bedroom has a large balcony and 2nd bedroom also benefitting from another balcony. The house has large kitchen equipped with all expected appliances. The lounge is large with leather settees which leads through to Dining area. The house is laid out over 3 floors with bathroom on every floor. The area is quiet and relaxing with restaurants only a few minutes walk away. Manta Rota is ideally positioned to reach main tourist areas of Tavira, Monte Gordo and Villa Real De San Antonio, 10 min drive to Spanish border, and only a 35min drive from Faro Airport. Hello, My name is Alison, myself and husband bought our Villa 3 years ago. we often visit the Villa with our 2 young children. We fell in love with Manta Rota the moment we discovered it, it has a beautiful beach, and the village has lots to do, and the people are warm and friendly. The Eastern Algarve is much cheaper than Western Algarve, where you can still buy a coffee and cake for less than 3 Euros. We pride ourselves on keeping the Villa Clean and tidy, and the pool is regularly cleaned.

HOLIDAY AS CASA ISLA, MANTA ROTA

This is a lovely spacious air-conditioned property which is on a site with 8 other properties with a shared pool in its own grounds. Its has been very well maintained and is suitable for families and couples. It is set in a very quiet area (I stayed there in May/June) so it is ideal if you are looking for peace and quiet.

The village of Manta Rota was generally quiet and the nearest supermarket/restaurant/bars are about 15 minutes walk away. Unfortunately there were no taxis in the village but you could telephone for one from the next village.

The owners were very helpful and there was a local contact if there were any problems while we were there.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind review. There is a small taxi company now in Manta Rota, cards are left in the villa. Teresa is always on hand for advice, and checking people in and out. Manta Rota is nice and relaxed around may and June, although July and August and first few weeks in September are Peak season, and is quite lively with lots going on, on the Beach promenade, so it depending on what type of Holiday you want. and the sun always seem to shine! Fanastic

We stayed in Excellent villa for 2 weeks and could not fault the standard.

The villa was lovely and spacious, with everything we needed.

Manta Rota was a beautiful village with lots of restaurants, bars and cafes, with a fantastic beach at the bottom of the road. Look forward to our next visit.

Luxus-Ferienhaus mit Abstrichen

Das Ferienhaus ist geräumig, bietet genug Platz für 8 Urlauber. Die Klimaanlage ist super, die Duschen waren klasse. Nicht erwähnt wurde in der Beschreibung allerdings (oder wir haben das mit unseren Englisch Kentnissen nicht verstanden), dass ein Schlafzimmer ein Durchgangszimmer ist. Nicht angenehm für jeden.

Wir hatten zwei Kleinkinder dabei, dem Vermieter war das auch bekannt, aber es gab z.B keine Kinderstühle. Ein Bettchen ja und auch ein Töpfchen, aber kein Stühlchen. Keine Kaffeekanne für 6 Erwachsene, sondern eine Wiener Kaffeekanne für 2 Personen. Die Essenssituation in Gemeinschaft war entsprechend schwierig, weil die Kinder zu klein für die Erwachsenen Stühle sind.

Die Küche ist mit dem Nötigsten ausgestattet- nicht mehr nicht weniger. Wir mussten vieles kaufen: Spülmittel, Tabs für die Spülmaschine, Salz, Pfeffer, Öl, Zucker., Klopapier....Kenne ich gar nicht, dass so gar nichts im Ferienhaus vorhanden ist.

Nicht gefallen haben uns die Gartenmöbel. Alles Plastik und viele Stühle kaputt, die Liegen sind auch in keinem guten Zustand. Die Aussendusche war vollgestellt mit Kram, die Plastikdecke uralt. Der Bereich war alles in allem eher etwas schäbig. Der Aussenbereich ist zugepflastert und hat so gut wie kein grün. Alles wirkte eher ziemlich kalt. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war aber sehr gut. Insgesamt ist es aber kein Luxushaus, sondern ein ganz gewöhnliches Haus.

TRES BON SEJOUR EN ALGARVE

Nous avons été très satisfait de notre séjour et du service complet proposé dans cette maison. Tout d'abord, très bien situé et au calme. Le service de ménage avec changement draps et serviettes inclus est très appréciable. Parfait pour 8 personne. Nous reviendrons :)
