La Pineda is set in a quiet and peaceful, well tended, gated community. It has a large shared pool and paddling pool, tennis court, basketball and table tennis. The large, double aspect lounge/diner has patio doors leading onto a terrace and overlooking the pool. The kitchen and bathrooms have recently been refurbished. There are 2 double bedrooms and one single. Gas central heating and double glazing make this an ideal winter let. This complex is supervised by a concierge and is extremely safe for children.

Perfect apartment, good facilities, great location

We stayed at the apartment with our 2 children, aged 8 and 7 in July/August. We had a fantastic week. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, was clean and very comfortable. The resort has everything - beaches with calm, clear seas (good for snorkelling), lovely walks along the coast and plenty of restaurants. The apartment complex is lovely with a pool, tennis court, table tennis and basketball which were all pleasant to use and never too busy despite the high season. We also visited Girona, Pals, Figueres and other smaller places whilst there, a great region to explore. However you don't need to go anywhere, you can walk to lots of restaurants/beaches and could have easily stayed in resort all week. Overall very chilled out, fantastic weather and delicious food. Definitely recommend this property. All dealings with the owner and access were efficient, genuine and friendly.

Well equipped apartment in beautiful village

We (3 generations) have just spent a lovely week at Nick and June's Apartment in Calella de Palafrugel. The apartment is well equipped and feels homely. The swimming pool, tennis court and table tennis were well used by our boys and competition increased against the adults. The apartment is within an easy 5 min walk of the centre of town with a variety of small beaches, shops and restaurants to choose from. The Cami de Ronda walk along the Costa Brava can easily be accessed from the village with beautiful coastal walks to the Botanic Gardens and to Llafranc an equally pretty adjacent village.

We have enjoyed the week so much we hope to return next year.

Lovely place, amazing holiday!!!

Felt I had to write a few words to express what a great time we had in la Pineda last month. Calella and the surrounding area is truly stunning. Having spent several holidays in the Balearics, Southern Spain and the Canary Islands I can safely say this area topped the lot by quite a distance.

The apartment is exactly as advertised, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The complex is well located as well, 5 minute walk from the beaches, shops and restaurants in the village. It's a 5 minute drive to the supermarket in palafrugell.

The only (very minor!) grumble we could have was that the pool was dirty when we arrived and wasn't cleaned until the Friday afternoon before we went home. Fortunately the med was warm enough for a swim!

One other thing to note, the apartment is on the top floor of the complex with no lift access, not suitable for wheelchairs, and we found it quite hard work with the pushchair as well, although not so much that it would put us off of going again!

Coast/Beach:

Only a 5 minute stroll to the beaches in Calella. No hassle of having to drive and park to go to the beach.

Travel:

Girona airport 45 mins. Barcelona airport 1 hour 30 mins. Perpignan airport 1 hour 30 minutes. Car hire is desirable but not essential. We can arrange transport to and from Girona airport if required. Regular, reliable bus service into Palafrugell.

Distances:

Calella 5 min walk. Palafrugell 5 min drive. Girona 45 min drive. Figueres 50 min drive. Barcelona 1½ hour drive. Perpignan (France) 1½ hour drive.

Further Details:

Several local supermarkets in Calella, cash point, newsagents, chemists and souvenir shops.Daily market in Palafrugell and large Market on Sunday. Variety of restaurants in Calella and Llafranc. Excellent for swimming, scuba diving and sailing. Picturesque coastal walks to the Botanical Gardens at Cap Roig or to the Light House at El Far. Figueres for the Dali Museum. Girona for historic old town and shopping. Empuries for the world famous Roman remains. La Bisbal for pottery and ceramics. A must visit are the medieval villages of Pals and Peretallada.

Changeover Day:
During the high season ( July and August ) the change over day is Saturday.Out side the high season we can be flexible please enquire.
Arrival time is 4pm and vacating by 10am to enable the apartment to be cleaned.

Notes on prices:
The weekly price includes all linen and towels (not beach towels) as well as all laundry and cleaning costs on departure.
For 2 week stays the linen and towels are changed and the apartment given a brief clean at the end of the first week.
The price also includes the local tourist tax.
There are no hidden charges.
