This terraced house is set in the picturesque old town of Pollensa and enjoys delightful views over terracotta rooftops towards the bay of Pollensa and Puig de Maria. The stylish, comfortable property provides a high standard of year-round accommodation. From the living room and kitchen, French windows open to the large dining terrace, patio and pool. Open-sided stairs lead from the living room to the first floor, where there is also a large sun terrace. Pollensa's meandering streets offer restaurants, cafes and shops. The beaches and nightlife of Puerto Pollensa are just 10 minutes by car or regular bus service. The house is furnished to a very high standard with Satellite TV with basic stations, CD player, free wifi and has a fully fitted kitchen. Two bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom which makes it an ideal property for two couples or a family with children. Young children, when using the pool should be supervised by an adult at all times.

My name is Laure and although I live in Devon I lived in Pollensa, Mallorca for most of the nineties. My eldest son Christian spent his early years there and we moved back to the UK for secondary school.

Because our property there was our home rather than a villa purpose built for renting, you will find it has the comforts, of a real home, such as comfortable beds, good mattresses, a good working kitchen and lovely bathrooms.

We can also answer most of your questions about good beaches, best places to eat, shop, etc.

This is a well appointed perfectly located holiday home for short breaks.

We stayed for 6 nights in this lovely town house. The property was well maintained and very comfortable for the two of us. It is a great find and would have no hesitation in booking again. It was ideal to be able to walk into Pollensa for a either a leisurely lunch or relaxing dinner and were spoilt for choice in the number of bars and restaurants.

Great holiday home

Great spacious home, well equipped in the centre of the charming Pollenca. Suited us perfectly to enjoy a relaxing holiday with access to a pool to cool off in and close to some great beaches. Would highly recommend this house for your Mallorcan stay.

Lovely house, helpful owner, great location

The house was great, nice and clean when we arrived, with the welcoming touch of a bottle of wine, bread, milk and enough in the cupboard to rustle up a basic supper for our exhausted children after a long day of travelling.

The pool was small but fine for our 2 small children and us to cool off and splash around in. The photo doesn't do it justice (bigger and deeper than we expected).

Laure the owner was fantastically helpful and the house was equipped for all of our needs.

Only negative was that the Beds were uncomfortable and we would rather have had sheets than duvet covers. We slept badly every night.

None of my guests have had a problem with this in the past, but it might reassure you to know that I am due to change all the mattresses this winter so all the beds will have brand new mattresses for next season, which should be very comfortable. I will also look into having sheets instead of quilt covers when temperatures are higher in the months of July and August. I wish you all the best Laure

Super townhouse with easy walk to town square

This is a beautiful townhouse for anyone wanting to stay right in the heart of Pollenca. The photos do not do the house justice. We had plenty of room with two adults and two children (9 and 5) staying for a fortnight. House does sleep 6 but might be a little too cramped for 6 adults. 4 adults and 2 kids would work well also.

The pool is actually larger than it appears in the photo. If is large enough for small kids to swim up and down though not big enough for adults to swim lengths....perfect to cool down in though and to play with your children. Our 5 year old son swam without rubber armbands for the first time in this pool and that will be a life long memory!

There is ample room to eat outside as well as in and there is a lovely small roof terrace to get away and read in peace and quiet (or to sleep out on under the stars as it is right outside the main bedroom).

The house could benefit from air conditioning in July and August, although it was particularly warm when we were staying (38-40C). There are fans in every room.

The house, bathrooms, kitchens and bedrooms are clean and well presented as are sheets and towels. A cleaner to change the sheets once a week would have been nice though.

If you arrive with a hire car, parking is a bit of an issue and you need to be a very confident driver to navigate the little backstreets and to park on the steep street outside. I had no issue but might not suit an older and perhaps less confident driver. Ensure that you have your excess waiver paid up with your hire car for driving the small backstreets as pretty much every car that you see parked is scraped and dented!

The house is so close to the town centre that you would not need a car if you do not intend to go outside of Pollenca town. There is an ample supply of taxis in town and they are relatively inexpensive on the island in any event.

The TV is somewhat limited in channels. Wi Fi connection is very good as is mobile reception.

All in all we had a wonderful time in Laure's house and would thoroughly recommend it for a family holiday.

Lovely property. Clean. Spectacular views

We have just returned from our summer holiday in Pollensa. It was very hot (35 degrees C) and we were very grateful for the pool. Although this is a terraced house, the rooms are quite large and airy and there are fans in every room. We found it spotless, well equipped and convenient for our stroll into town and our drive to the beach. We would definitely like to stay again and would recommend it to friends.

Location

From the Owner

We have kept our property in Mallorca because of it's easy access from just about any airport in the UK. We love being able to get away to the sun and we try to do this as often as possible. We love the people, the culture, the food, sounds and smells... We love the beaches, restaurants and being able to walk into town and experience the hustle and bustle of local life. The island has become a mecca for cyclists and walkers because of its year round temperate climate and stunning scenery. It is also wonderful for sailing, snorkelling, scuba diving and wind surfing.

Nearest Airport : Palma at 50 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Pollensa golf at 1 Miles Nearest Beach : Cala San Vicente at 3 Kilometres Car: recommended

Special interest holidays:

Bird watchers will delight in the many birds that frequent the valleys, hills and cliffs around the area (eg Elenor falcon) and the many migratory species that stop for a rest.

Coast/Beach:

There are many lovely beaches near Pollensa. Cala San Vicente is approximately a ten minute drive from the town and has three beaches with all the amenities and excellent sea food restaurants offering the catch of the day. The Bay of Pollensa also offers a variety of beaches, a marina where boat hire is available and a pine walk lined with restaurants, cafes and shops.

Travel:

The airport is under 1 hour away whether you hire a car, take a taxi or a coach. There is a regular bus service between Pollensa and Puerto Pollensa, and taxi ranks near the main square. If you prefer to rent a car, please note that Pollensa is an old town and that streets are narrow, so a smaller car is recommended. It is possible to park in the same street or within a few minutes walk away.

Distances:

There is a regular bus service to Palma which boasts a 13th century cathedral, a huge variety of bars, restaurants and elegant shops including the Corte Ingles. Inca is on the way to Palma and has leather and glass factories offering excellent deals. Puerto Pollensa with its exciting night life is only a 10 minute drive away. A drive over the west coast of the island would take you to Soller, and the beautiful mountain villages of Deia and Valldemosa where Chopin once lived with George Sands.

Further Details:

The house is a three minute walk to the main square which has several banks, grocery shops including an excellent delicatessen, restaurants, cafes, bars, art galleries, fashion stores and two chemists. It is a two minute walk to the Calvario steps which lead you up to the chapel and its stunning views.

There is a wonderful market on the main square every Sunday morning, offering delicious local produce and gifts for taking home.
