The blue flag beaches of Cabo Roig (La Caleta) and Campomoar are within walking distance. It is a very short walk to numerous bars, an abundance of restaurants, banks, the Medical Centre, a pharmacy, British, Spanish and Chinese supermarkets and internet cafes. A rugged coastline which goes on for miles is a short walk away. Cabo Roig has its own marina with a fabulous restaurant offering great 'tapas', a la carte menu and a wonderful view of the sea and coastline - fantastic for a relaxing lunch or dinner.

The house is ideally placed for golfers as there are 5 golf courses within 10-25 minutes drive.

For those who like to explore when on holiday, there are many Spanish coastal areas and cities to visit. Alicante, Elche, Cartegena and Murcia. For walkers, the coastal route goes on for miles and miles. The South Costa Blanca has a wonderful eco-climate making it possible to relax on the beach, walk along the coastline, or sunbathe all year round. Christmas Day BBQs are very popular!

My name is Jackie. My life is generally very busy and I decided to buy a property in Spain to have somewhere to escape to at weekends with family and friends. Long term, I hope to be able to spend the Winter months in Spain to escape the English weather.

When my purchase completed, I lived in Spain for 15 months and loved it. In between rentals, I enjoy 3/4 night breaks to recharge the batteries: soaking up the sun, walking along the beaches, having lovely meals in one of the many restaurants on the 'Golden Mile strip' and enjoying the karaoke!

Why Jackie Lambert chose Cabo Roig

I fell in love with the area on my first visit in 2004. Eventually I hope to live in Cabo Roig during the Winter because of the climate and my need to have bars and restaurants within walking distance of where I live. Undoubtedly, Agua Marina and the 'Golden Mile' were developed for British and Irish residents and holidaymakers, however the tiny suburbs either side - Cabo Roig and Campomoar -and along the coast from Alicante to Cartegena are occupied by Spanish residents. Madridians have had holiday homes in this area for many years and visit every Summer for 6 weeks so you will see them enjoying themselves on the beaches. Likewise, visit any of the beaches on a Sunday and you will experience many Spanish families enjoying the day together. 10 minutes drive down the coast and 'real' Spain is there - a great combination. I love it.

What makes this house unique

The property is bright, sunny and has a very 'personal' feel. Clients have a real 'home from home' experience when they stay. It is South facing therefore 'al fresco' dining is possible 365 days per year (weather permitting).

The urbanisation is very convenient for bars, restaurants, cafes, banks and supermarkets. The beaches of Cabo Roig (La Caleta) and Campomoar are within a short walking distance and have beach bars that are open from Easter until the end of October. The top floor solarium is a sun trap and it is still warm enough to sunbathe throughout the late Autumn/Winter! . I have worn shorts and a tshirt on Xmas Day and enjoyed a cold glass of wine in the sun.

In the Summer/Autumn, all terraces benefit from the sun from early morning to early evening. During the Winter/Spring months, you can enjoy breakfast alfresco outside from mid morning and sunbathe on the top floor terrace until late afternoon. The property is non-smoking. Any indication of smoking inside will result in the forfeit of the damage deposit. Each room has ceiling and tower fans, a portable Air Cooler, heaters and blankets for the Winter and Spring months. Showering and beach towels provided. It has lockable gates and is within a secure urbanisation therefore children are safe. The urbanisation is a very short walk to the 'Golden Mile' bars and restaurants and is very quiet during the day and at night. The house has tiled/marbled floors and stair banisters. Outside: A ground floor South facing terrace with lockable gates. Garden furniture (A rectangular table, 6 chairs and a tilting umbrella). Small off bedroom terrace. The top floor solarium has 6 loungers, a small round table with 4 chairs and an umbrella. Outside lighting for evening relaxation. The house benefits from a large, clover shaped communal swimming pool with landscaped gardens overlooking the sea. THE POOL IS THE SAME DEPTH THROUGHOUT. A corner of the ground floor terrace is shaded at certain times of the day and large enough to accommodate a blow up 'paddling pool' (not provided) for babies and toddlers.

The property was exactly has described although I personally thought that the photos did not do it justice, the property was clean and was very well maintained, all electrical appliances provided,(air conditioning was the only thing lacking, although there are plenty of fans in each room, and it was the hottest time of the year,but that is me being fussy) Close to the main strip, bars and restaurants and the beach. Highly recommended.

Lovely Owner

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Jackie's property. The house was as described and is accurate. The booking process was simple and Jackie is easy to deal with and she responds quickly to any enquiries. She also helped sort out a small problem while we were there.

The kitchen is well equipped and has a good dishwasher and washing machine. The 2 bathrooms are more than adequate and there was always a plentiful supply of hot water (no cold showers here)! There is a good range of channels on the TV. There is a chest in the utility area containing all kinds of beach items from kids toys to parasols. There are also folding chairs to carry to the pool which is short hop from the house and is accessed via an electronic card system. Only 1 card though so you either have to all go at the same time or arrange to meet and be let in or out by the card holder!

The location is good being close to the cliff top promenade and very near to the 'strip' where all the bars and restaurants are. It's also handily placed for the supermarket for all your supplies.

Unfortunately I had to knock off a star for 2 reasons: 1 there is no air conditioning and despite all the fans it was still very warm for sleeping in the hot summer weather. 2 I found the bed in the first floor double room quite uncomfortable but having said that beds are a matter of taste and others may find it ok!

Overall it is a good value rental and you are certainly well looked after by the owner.

Back for the 5th time!

I have stayed at this property 4 times before with my girlfriend, golfing friends and family, and it is ideal for every occasion.

If you don't want to drive when on holiday, it is ideally situated for numerous restaurants, bars, supermarkets and beaches. There are 3 golf courses within a 10 minute drive.

The house has everything you could possibly want. It has been decorated since my last visit and the new furniture made it even more comfortable. My girlfriend was also very happy when she saw the new dishwasher!

I would definitely recommend this house for your holiday.

Definitely be returning

Myself and five friends (aged 23-29) stayed at this apartment for 8 nights. Easy and prompt transfer from Murcia airport (max 15 minutes). The house itself is a great size, 3 floors and lots of living and kitchen space. There are so many amenities, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a bbq, pool inflatables, umbrellas, sun loungers, cool box, ice packs, towels - everything we could wish for really. There is a television that has most English channels (including Disney), a dvd player and a stereo system. There is no Wi-Fi at the house but all the local bars have them so you were never too far off the grid. The communal pool is lovely with a view of the ocean - good size and it never felt busy. The two closest beaches are about a 10 minute coastal walk with lovely views out to sea. The beaches itself were fantastic with lots of spaces, parasols and umbrellas available and both had a beach bar serving food and cocktails throughout the day. Most of the time we took our own umbrellas and chairs (provided in the house) and also a cool box (also provided in the house) so we didn't need to spend any extra money. The sea was so clean and took a long time to get out of your depth, so good for children. There were lots of activities such as a pedalo's and banana boats (i would recommend!) and also lots of rocky areas for snorkelling. The only downside of the beaches were the frequent offers to buy sunglasses or handbags but they were understanding and usually walked away promptly after you said no. The amount of restaurants close to the house was great and there really was something for everyone - Italian, Spanish, indian, Chinese, Argentinian and all good value. There is a lot of nightlife although no clubs but i was informed if you go further into the mainland there are many and apparently it wouldn't cost much in a taxi. Lots of karaoke and a few nice bars though. The local supermarket was a ten minute walk away which provides everything you would need. There are a lot of nice surrounding areas but we didn't really feel the need to leave - the beach and pool were satisfying enough. Overall a great stay for all ages and at good value. We will definitely be returning.

The urbanisation is as close to the sea as you can get and is walking distance or a short drive to the lovely beaches of Cabo Roig and Campoamor. The rugged coastline continues for miles and further beaches can be reached by foot or by car. The beaches have 'Blue Flag' awards for cleanliness. Loungers and umbrellas can be hired. The beach bars are open from Easter through to early November and provide WCs. All beaches have lifeguards and red cross during the Summer months.


The closest airports are Murcia (15 minutes drive) and Alicante (45 minutes drive).

Airport transfers can be organised. If not, a meet and greet is arranged.

Car hire is not necessary unless you like to explore or have young children/many items to take to the beach daily. The South Costa Blanca has much to offer that hiring a car and exploring could add further enjoyment to your holiday. It is recommended that car rental is booked as soon as possible due to the cost during Summer


The thriving Spanish town of Torrevieja - 10 kms - 10 minutes drive.

Spanish villages of Lo Pagan and San Pedro del Pinatar - 15kms - 10 minute drive.

Benidorm and Guadalest - 75 minute drive.

Cartegena Harbour - 30 minute drive.

Murcia City - 45 minute drive.

Alicante City - 45 minute drive.

Further Details:

The area is superb for those who just like to relax and want to be able to walk to the beaches, bars, restaurants, marinas, internet cafes, banks and local shops, including British supermarkets. (There is a large Spanish supermarket for big food shops within walking distance).

If you like to drive and explore, there are many coastal towns and villages from Alicante to La Manga that are worth visiting as are the Cities of Elche, Alicante, Cartegena and Murcia.

For families, a visit to the local water park (Aquapolis) is a great day out as is a 75 minute drive to Benidorm for TerraMitica, Aqualandia, Mundomar and TerraNatura.

A local company - Coachtrips SL - offers many daily trips and 2/3 night coach trips at very competitive prices. So if you don't want to drive but like to get out and about during your holiday, this company can assist.

For parents with young children, a local company hires cots, stair gates, high chairs, car seats etc.

There are markets to visit every day of the week but Cabo Roig (Thursdays), Playa Flamenca (Saturdays) and San Pedro (Mondays) are highly recommended. Great for market lovers!

For golfers, there are 5 golf courses within 10-25 minutes drive.

Want to learn Spanish? There are two local Spanish schools with native teachers.

Refundable Damage Deposit £250

A contract will be issued to all guests which must be completed, electronically signed and returned to the owner. All reservations made will require a nonrefundable 20% deposit by online bank transfer. Dates will be reserved for 5 days. Full payment is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. If not received within 48 hours of due date, the dates will be released. If guests cancel their booking at this time, 50% of the balance due is payable. If cancelled after full payment has been made, every attempt will be made to resell the dates for the full cost. If resold, the amount received will be refunded minus £75.00 administration fee. It is therefore recommended that travel insurance is purchased at time of booking flights and accommodation.
Damage/Security deposits:-
A damage deposit of £250 per property is required 7 days prior to the arrival date- It will be returned within 7 days of departure date after a satisfactory inspection by the property manager. Please note that any damage to the blinds will incur a £25 deduction per blind. If there are any faults to the blinds or appliances upon arrival, these must be reported to the property manager and owner immediately. The normal entry time is 4pm and a departure time of 12 noon. Arrival and departure dates and times are flexible especially if the house is not occupied on your arrival day and/or it is not required on your departure day. If a late departure time is required, especially in June, July and August, this must be arranged at the time of booking and a fee of £50.00 will be charged for a late departure.
Rates include water and electricity but NOT departure clean. This is payable directly to my property manager on arrival. The cost is 60 euros.

Taxes are not charged for renting this property.

Payments are made via online bank transfers. A 20% deposit is required to secure a reservation. Dates will be held for 5 days. If the deposit is not received, the dates will be released. In the event of a cancellation, deposits are NOT refundable. Balances are due 8 weeks before the arrival date. See Notes section below for full Booking T&Cs.
