We are set in a lovely landscaped garden with a 5.5m circular pool 1.6m deep (for your exclusive use) and furnished throughout to a very high standard. Just 3 mins walk from the seafront and in one of the most sought after and ideal locations in Almyrida. 2 bedrooms, 2 fully tiled shower rooms, spacious open plan lounge with Satellite TV/DVD/CD and attractive stone fireplace, dining room with lovely wood table/leather seated chairs and fully fitted kitchen. Balconies and terraces with stunning views of the White Mountains. Plaka and Kalyves are within walking distance. Kokkino Chorio, Drapanos, Gavalahori, Vamos and Armeni are all a short drive away. As are Aptera Archaelogical site and Chania (with its Venetian Harbour and airport). Care has been taken to provide every comfort. Ideal for those looking for quality accommodation at a sensible price.

'A peaceful and ideal place to explore W Crete. You've thought of everything. Thank's for the directions to the Villa which got us there easily although the roads take a bit of getting used to! Samaria Gorge was fantastic and more spectacular than remembered. You've loads of different sitting places/balconies to choose from which is really nice-you can follow the sun/shade as you wish. The White mountains views from your house are really great.'

Almyrida is the perfect base for walkers and cyclists with many beautiful and interesting places to see around the immediate and surrounding area.


Although a car is not essential when holidaying in Almyrida it is recommended if you want to visit and see more of this beautiful Island. Driving distances from the Villa: Chania Airport 35 mins. Heraklion Airport 120 mins. Souda Port 20 mins.


Plaka - 3 mins.

Kalyves, Armeni, Kokkino Chorio and Gavalahori - 10 mins. Drapanos and Vamos - 15 mins.

Aptera (Archaelogical site) 25 mins.

Chania (Venetian Harbour) 35 mins.

Further Details:

Just a 3 minute flat walk from the villa is the beautiful beachfront with it's many traditional tavernas, cafes, and even water sport facilities.

Also in the area are small friendly bakeries, mini-markets, jewellery shop, chemist and gift shops.

ATM is available as are telephone kiosks.

There is a taxi rank and car and bike hire.

Excursions and boat trips are available by arrangement.

There is a Ten Pin Bowling alley in one of the village hotels.

Kalyves - the nearest "largest" town has chemist, bakery, veg shops (which also sell the local red and white village wines!), banks, post office, numerous tavernas and cafes, mini-markets and two small beaches.

Vamos - Health Centre, tavernas and ATM.

Chania (a bustling Venetian harbour) - Scuba diving, boat trips, water slide park, Saturday morning market, banks and much, much more.

A returnable £100 security deposit paid with your balance will secure a key to the safe and will be returned in full within 21 days of your departure date if no damage/loss has occurred. Cancellation charges from date of booking until 8 wks before arrival-50% plus deposit. Less than 8 wks before arrival-100% incl deposit.

Changeover Day:
Arrival at the Villa 4pm / Departure 10am (this enables us to maintain our high standard of housekeeping).

  • Notes on accommodation: All bed linen, bath, hand and tea-towels are provided. The villa and pool are cleaned and maintained during your stay. Electric, water, air-conditioning costs, cleaning of the villa and swimming pool maintenance are included in the price. We are a no smoking villa (although ashtrays are provided on the terraces for outdoor use only). In and around the pool all children and non swimmers must be supervised at all times. For safety reasons running and diving is forbidden at the pool. Plastic utensils are available for your use in/near the pool area. Unfortunately the villa is not suitable for children under the age of 10 - sorry. The villa complies with the current EOT office of tourism MHTE 1042K123K2732101. Outside: Set in a lovely landscaped garden with its own private 5.5m circular, 1.6m deep, pool for your personal use (children and non swimmers must be supervised at all times). A poolside shower, sun loungers, umbrellas, hammocks, tables and chairs are all provided for use on the balconies, terraces and pool area. A small portable BBQ is also assembled for your use. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen, bath, hand and tea-towels are included. The villa is cleaned and all towels and linen changed on change-over day and mid week (this service is included in the price). Unfortunately beach/pool towels are not provided so please bring your own. Other: For inside dining there is a lovely large wood dining table with comfortable leather seated chairs. All rooms are furnished to a high standard. Internet access is available (free of charge).
