Apartment in Novigrad, Istria, Croatia - Peaceful Location Although Only 5 mins Amble to Beach and Town

Novigrad is an historic, picturesque fishing village positioned on the North West shore of the Istrian peninsula. It is surrounded by partially preserved medieval walls and towers with numerous houses built between 15th and 18th centuries.A modern,well equipped 1st floor accommodation with a spacious balcony boasting stunning sunset and sea views. A few minutes walk in one direction takes you to bamboo fringed beaches. Alternatively in the other direction you can enjoy the bathing areas alongside the medieval town walls. There is a variety of restaurants, bars and shops with a vibrant selection of small shops.In addition there are three well stocked supermarkets, local fruit/veg market and bakeries selling deliciously fresh bread and cakes. The winery situated by the old harbour sells wine for all tastes and pockets.

Absolutely perfect,conveniently located the apartment has the best of positions with scenic views and stunning sunsets.

What a fantastic place ! You certainly weren't exaggerating with your description of Novigrad.

Having found this wonderful place we couldn't wait to return and sample it again.

Apartment is excellent, all the little extra things that made it so comfortable.

We have been impressed with how spotlessly clean and well equipped the apartment is.

Spoilt for choices of restaurants....we would go back to any of them.

We had a lovely 2 week holidays stay at the apartment.

The apartment was clean, kitchen well equipped ( should someone wanted to cook :), close to the town centre, beaches and other places of interest.

Owners are helpful and supportive throughout the booking process making the rental smooth and trouble free.

We have enjoyed staying in the apartment.

It was our first visit Novigrad and we will be going back. The description of the apartment was as stated. We were very pleased with everything at the apartment, especially the wonderful view from the balcony. To the front the mariner and the city of Novigrad, to the left the mariner. We were just10 minutes walk from the beautiful city and beach, or 20 minutes walk form the second beach best for snorkeling. Plenty of wonderful restaurants to choose. The owners of the apartment were very helpful in giving us details of a transfer service. A fantastic 11 night stay at this wonderful apartment ideally situated.

This is a lovely, well kept apartment in a great location. It has everything you need for a super holiday with supermarkets and the town very nearby and some lovely places to visit in Istria within a short drive.

We loved the view from the balcony of the marina and easy access to the local beach.

It was very hot while we were there and we were really grateful for the air con!

Owner's Response: Although some of our guests are around that age, Novigrad and Istira also attracts much younger people.There is something for eveyone, sighteeing being popular along with cycling and watersports. I feel that the apartment itself is most suited to couples.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Pula at 50 Kilometres Nearest Beach : at 400 Metres Car: not necessary


5 minutes walk one way from the apartment will take you to secluded bamboo fringed beaches, 5 mins, or so, the other way will take you to the bathing areas incorporated into the ancient town walls of Novigrad.The truly crystal clear Adriatic water is 25degrees C during the summer months which makes it perfect for snorkelling. Beach showers and changing cubicles are are handy for a quick rinse before you enjoy a refreshing drink or an appetising lunch at one of the beachside restaurants.


Nearest airport is Pula 50kms south of Novigrad, easy (1 hr ) drive to Novigrad. To the north is Italy's Trieste airport (1 hr 15 min ). Ryanair fly daily from Stansted and Birmingham to both these airports. Thomson fly in high season from Birmingham to Pula. Private transfer and or car hire can be arranged from both airports, alternatively car hire is easily available at the airports. If you prefer not to drive, a private driver can be arranged.


Novigrad is ideally situated for easy travel to many places of interest, both on the coast and inland where some of the most ancient and picturesque villages can be found.

Day trips to Venice from Porec, 20 mins drive down the coast road.

Boat trips to various places along the extensive coastline can also be explored.

A fabulous water park ...Istralandia (opened 2014) a few kilometres inland from Novigrad is well worth a visit , even if you don't want to get wet as there is an abundance of shaded or sunny space to lounge and enjoy !

Many forms of watersports can be experienced at nearby Lanterna, 10 mins by road or a regular water taxi from the old harbour which could be more fun.

There are several banks and ATM machines within easy walking distance in the town, also a post office and medical centre/pharmacy.Health care is available to UK citizens with a valid NHS European Health Insurance card.

Although Croatia is now a member ofthe EU it still keeps it's own currency (Kuna)

Wellness centre spa, tennis courts, bicycle hire all within a few minutes walk.
