Townhouse in Regal Palms, Davenport, Orlando, Florida - First Class Resort 15 minutes from Disney World

This Bermuda style home is within 2 minutes walk of the Pool, Spa and Gymnasium area. The gated complex is extremely safe for children. There is parking space for 2 cars at the front of the house and. The house is completely self contained with all mod cons including, washing machine, dryer, fully fitted kitchen, coffee machine etc, etc. Any further information about this lovely property will be forwarded at the time of booking.

About Les or Sue Cluskey

Sue and I have been residents at Regal Palms since 2005. We lived in Cumbria (UK) where we owned a hotel and restaurant since 1993. Now retired we live in East Sussex with our children and some of our grandchildren. Prior to this I was a Warrant Officer in the Royal Navy and Sue was a Health Visitor in the NHS. We have two children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Our hobbies are golf, walking, wining and dining. We visit our home on Regal Palms as often as we can because it is perfectly situated for everything we need in Florida.

Why Les or Sue Cluskey chose Regal Palms

We bought at Regal Palms because the resort had everything the family needed whilst having a break from the Theme Parks and more importantly for the Ladies, the Malls. Disneyworld is merely 15 minutes drive away. As golf enthusiasts we are spoiled rotten for courses in the local area with a very good standard course just across the road at Highlands Reserve.Our favourite is Legends GC at Clermont, it is a beautiful course and the clubhouse is lovely.

What makes this house unique

Our home is literally 2 minutes walking distance from the Pool and Resort complex.

Properties in the later phases are some distance from the resort facilities and therefore guests need to drive to them.

Notes on accommodation: For the children there is a full size Cot, Highchair and lots of toys to play with. Outside: Patio area for BBQ, BBQ available on request. Veranda outside Master Bedroom with easy chairs and table. Utility Room: The utility room on the first floor contains a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also very good metal rack to dry your clothes Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included in the home but there is NO maid service and it is cleaned only upon vacation. Pool towels are available at the resort on a signature basis. There is no charge for this facility.

Condo even better than described!

There were only 4 of us in this spacious, quiet condo. The only uncooperative thing was the weather, record cold (48 one day). There was an outdoor jacuzzi and pools were heated which made everything more bearable. Owners are extremely easy to work with!

Very happy with our stay

Communication and payment went well. The home was clean and very roomy. The kitchen was well stocked with various decent quality pans and cookware. Nice having the 3 1/2 baths. The unit is close to the clubhouse and pool areas. We will definitely return in the future

Beautiful property, great communication with owner, only a few minor problems

Les was easy to communicate via email - worked with me through some PayPal issues and got back to me fairly quickly with any questions. Upon arrival, however I did not have the necessary confirmation number needed at front desk. The lady at front desk was super friendly about it and was able to resolve that quickly. When we arrived at our property though we didn't have the necessary access code for keypad on door (no key). I called the property manager and that was resolved quickly as well. Three minor issues with the home. One, there was a bit of an ant problem. Small tiny ants which I have seen in many Florida properties, so I don't know if it's just a Florida thing or what. The second issue probably has more to do with the resort in general than the actual property owners. We found it strange that there were such limited supplies around the house. I have stayed in other properties where detergents or dryer sheets, dish soap, spices, sugar, coffee etc are usually left behind and the next tenants can use these things. Here there was no dish soap. One dishwasher tab. No dryer sheets or laundry detergent. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom (all 4). No extra garbage bags. Absolutely no seasonings or spices or anything in pantry. We found this very odd and inconvenient to have to buy these things that we would not be bringing home with us. The third issue was the dryer, which took forever to actually dry clothes. I did not call to complain because I wasn't willing to stick around for a repair man on my vacation. We just kept running the dryer until our clothes were actually dry or hung them on the rack that was provided near the laundry machines. Other than these small odd complaints, the home was great! Spacious for the seven of us and we loved having so many bathrooms for everyone to get ready in at the same time. The pool was great also! And there were so many toys for my son to play with! Overall great place to rent!

Changeover Day:
Guests can access the home from 4pm and must vacate the home by 10am on the day of departure, it is possible to remain after this time, however, there would be an additional charge.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
There is an additional charge of $11.95 per day per house charged by the resort and this will be taken at Reception upon arrival. Discounts may be considered for bookings over 2 weeks and for couples staying on their own for periods other than Easter, Christmas and New Year.

Bookings of less than 7 days £50 extra.
