The apartment has been tastefully decorated and furnished in a modern style with solid oak furniture and quality fittings, including full domestic and entertainment facilities and free broadband Internet. There is a large patio and private garden. The apartment has stunning views of the awe-inspiring west face of the Dru, which is spectacular at sunset. Guests have the use of secure garage parking and a locker for outdoor items such as skis, boots and cycles. Access to ski fields, paragliding, great walking, climbing and cycling via the Brevent gondola lift is just metres away as is the local bus stop. Chamonix centre is a close walk of around 300 metres. Ski hire and the nearest restaurant is close by. Chamonix's championship golf course in its unforgettable setting is just 3 minutes away by car and there is tennis, swimming and ice skating in Chamonix centre.

Lovely well-equipped apartment in a great location

The owner was helpful and quick to reply, and arrangements for arrival and departure worked well. Clean and nicely furnished apartment with good kitchen, bathroom, tv and audio facilities. A great selection of DVDs (didn't need them as weather stunning) and useful guidebooks. Car parking space in garage is invaluable although requires some skillful driving; great to park car and forget about it for most of our stay. Location next to Brevent gondola is wonderful with potential for great walks. Owner's recommendations for restaurants were very useful and we thoroughly enjoyed all our meals out. Watching the paragliders descend over the apartment in the mornings was quite something. Happy to recommend this apartment.

Brilliant apartment in the centre of Chamonix

We stayed at this apartment in the height of the summer season. Located close to the Brevent lift, the apartment is in a great location that is quiet but very convenient for the town center. The view from the back of the apartment towards the mountains is lovely and the small garden is a nice place to sit outside with a coffee and watch paragliders fly over as they descend in to the valley.

The apartment is wonderfully comfortable and well equipped with all mod-cons and is truly a home from home. An excellent collection of guide books in the lounge provides plenty of information about the surrounding area for skiers, climbers and hikers.

Anyone who wants to experience quintessential Chamonix should definitely consider staying here.

Truly fabulous apartment

The apartment exceeded all our expectations. It was large and spacious, much bigger than the usual Alpine ski holiday apartment, plenty of room for all our gear and us, nicely laid out, cosy and warm, comfortable and very well-equipped, everything we could ever need and plenty that we didn't have time to try out. Everything we needed was there, didn't need to hunt for it, and it all worked perfectly, no wrestling with obscure instructions on how to get the hot water to work etc. Location was just fantastic, sitting above the town with views across the valley, just 20m to the Brevent chairlift, the free ski bus stop and the in-town nursery slope, couple of hundred meters into the centre of town. and the walk up the hill after dinner finished the legs off nicely!

All in all, a top spot, one of the absolute best holiday places we've rented, and we'd definitely come back and try it again, perhaps in the summer next time.

Superb Apartment

My wife and I rented this superb apartment in July for two weeks.We know Chamonix really well and needed a new place to stay as the owner of an apartment we had rented for the past six years was selling up.We used Owners Direct and chose this apartment as the information on the website sounded excellent.The apartment totally lived up to the description on the website.The apartment is in the quiet Brevant area away from the hussle of central Chamonix.It is tastefully decorated,clean and everything works beautifully.The £250 security deposit was returned within two days of us leaving Chamonix.I would not hesitate to give this apartment a 5 Star Rating.

Chamonix is one of the historic mountain towns of the Alps. Often described as the world's capital of mountain sports, it is visited throughout the year and is easily accessed being just over an hour from Geneva. Chamonix is arguably in the 'heart' of the Alps, situated below Mont Blanc with its huge glaciers, and very close to the borders of Italy and Switzerland. There is something for everyone in Chamonix, both on and off the mountains.

Adjacent to Brevent gondola with its great walks, climbing, skiing, mountain biking, mountain restaurants and stunning views of Mont Blanc. 300 metres to Chamonix centre with restaurants (including 3 michelin starred), bars, museums, and access to the Mont Blanc railway and cable car. Mountain and forest trails start at the end of the drive. Easy access to Switzerland and italy and towns including Montreux, Annecy, Geneva.

Chamonix is a working town of 12,000 population with all of the facilities you would expect including many banks, 6 supermarkets, a petrol station and a terrific Saturday farmers market. Attractions include the Mer de Glace glaciers, Europe's highest cable car, Mont Blanc, ice caves, alpine fauna and flora as well as great cuisine.

We were very fortunately to own an apartment in the Residence Les Aiguilles Du Brevent. It is a highly sought after location adjacent to the Brevent Telecabine and a very short walk into the centre of Chamonix. It is located on the sunny side of the valley in quiet grounds. The building is unique in having a permanent resident guardian which ensures the building is maintained to a high standard. The build and design is Italian dating from 1975 and all rooms are spacious and bright. The apartment also benefits from all rooms having access to the garden through patio doors. We refurbished the apartment and maintain it in a lovely bright modern style.
