Newly refurbished villa, in a quiet street, large flat garden with lawn and private pool. Green, sunny and secluded with sea views. Fully air conditioned. Free, fast and reliable Wi-fi internet access. It features 4 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, one fully fitted cot bed, new fitted kitchen and breakfast aisle with stools, large living-dining area and 40m2 BBQ terrace with panoramic views for al-fresco dinning and chill out lounge with solar shading. All three bathrooms have spacious walk in showers and a hair dryer. All accomodation is at the top level, with the exception of the Bedroom 4 with en-suite bathroom which has its own entry from the garden and with direct access to the swimming pool. Beatifully restored original features. Newly furnished, tastefully decorated and fitted with all modern appliances for a very comfortable stay.

The villa sits in a large plot (1200m2) and it has a large flat lawn garden with mature trees. It has a large shaded and quiet porch with outdoor sofas and large table at the garden level. The swimming pool is 10m x 4m, eyes and skin friendly saline treatment system, timber decking, comfortable loungers and sea views. It offers great privacy all round. It is 3 min drive from the medieval village of Begur and within walking distance to Sa Riera beach.

HEATED POOL OPTION. Guests will have the option to have the pool water heated to a temperature of 26ºC, which is the temperature the water reaches during the summer months. The weekly cost of taking this option will vary depending on the time of the year the villa is booked for. Please ask about the additional cost when making a booking enquiry for stays out of July and August which is when this option is useful to have.

OUR PERSONALIZED, HASSLE FREE CHECK IN SERVICE: We will send you detailed directions and we will agree the time to meet with us at the villa (usually at around 16.00h but we can be flexible if the house is ready earlier) on arrival for a short briefing, keys, and to answer any questions you may have.

We like to take personal care of the house, supervising everything prior to your arrival and welcoming you personally at the villa to ensure an easy and fast, stress free arrival, so you can start enjoying your holiday from minute one. We will be available for any isssue that may arise during your stay 24/7.

You will find the house cleaned and prepared for your comfort, with the beds ready made and a welcome pack which includes a selection of Nespresso coffee capsules, a bottle of selected local Cava, a selection of chocolates, sealed tea bags, sugar and cooking essentials such as salt, extra virgin olive oil and spices. We also provide a washing kit for the kitchen and dishwasher.

We provide guests with big bath towels, medium size towels and swimming pool / beach towels. In addition to that, each bathroom is equipped with another set of two smaller wash hand towels, hygienic WC paper, selected hand cream and soap and ecofriendly organic shower gel.

The kitchen is equiped with a reverse osmosis kit (Myro7 from Coway) for purified, drinking and cooking water.

For your safety the villa is equiped with a fire extinguisher, an smoke alarm and a first aid kit.

We will send you detailed information about using the villa in a safe and appropriately manner.

We have also compiled our own personal recommendations document of things to do, to see, don't miss out, seasonal events, walks, markets, beaches, restaurants, websites, and even some local knowledge top tips.

During the winter months, the property is provided with central heating and the usage of the fireplace makes a perfect setting to enjoy cosy dinners and a red wine after a good walk by the beach. Firewood is included in the price. The villa is also equiped with a pyramid external gas heater for the terraces.

Walk from your doorstep the stunning 'Cami de Ronda' (a marked path on the shoreline cliffs linking little coves and beaches in the area). Enjoy snorkeling or scuba-diving on the marine reserve of Ses Negres or the Illes Medes.

For golfers, the villa is within 10 min drive of two of the best golf courses in Spain (Empordà Golf and Platja de Pals) and 45min to top 10 European PGA course in Caldes de Malavella

Tourist tax and all running costs of electricy water and gas are included in the rental price. However please note the additional cost of the option, if taken, of having the pool heated.

This villa is officially registered in the Catalan Government list of Habitatges d'Us Turistic with Ref HUTG-011726.

About Eloi

Hello. My name is Eloi. I am a Spanish Arquitecto Técnico and also a qualified Chartered Surveyor in the UK. I worked in London for 6 years for a global consultancy and now I am working and living in between BCN and the Costa Brava as a Project Manager and Construction Consultant for residential properties (www.hfpmanagement.com). The renovation of this house with my wife Ingrid gradually over the years has been a truly enjoyable experience and we are very proud with the result, in particular because of the feed back we receive from holidaymakers' memorable stays.

We love this area for its beauty but in particular because we have managed to avoid the frenzy mass development of the last 15 years which has destroyed some Spanish Costas.

A wonderful family Christmas in a great villa.

Three generations stayed here for a week over Christmas. The villa had been left in a spotless condition, the lovely swimming pool heated ( We swam nearly every day), the central heating was on and a welcoming fire lit. The delightful owners had also put up Christmas decorations and a Christmas tree for us and were there to welcome us and to explain how the various services worked. The lay out of the villa works well, the grandparents sleeping in the double room on the lower floor over looking the swimming pool and the rest of the family upstairs in the other three bedrooms. We ate out for most lunches in lovely restaurants in surrounding villages and had dinner in the villa. The vlla was well equipped considering eight of us were eating in. My wife however felt there could have been a few more smaller dishes for serving tapas etc.

In all the villa lived up to its website description, although the bedrooms appeared to be smaller than the photgraphs suggested, nevertheless perfectly adequate. We had particulaly good lunches in restaurants over looking the beaches in Llafranc and Tamariu which are very close to Begur and also further afield a great lunch at La Terrasa in Sant Marti d'Empuries further up the coast.

We were lucky with the weather upto 17 degrees with sunshine most days, but quite cold at night.

We would certainly recommend the villa and would like to thank Eloi and Ingrid for providing for us so well.

Fantastic villa in a beautiful location!

We (2 families, 4 adults, 4 children aged 11-13) have just come back from an amazing stay at the Villa. Very well maintained, beautiful setting and close to beaches and restaurants in Sa Riera. Eloi greeted us on the first day, taking time to talk us through the villa and its amenities, making sure we had everything we need.

The house has four well appointed bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The downstairs double room has no internal access to the rest of the house, which was not a major issue to us (access is from the upstairs outside side door into the main house) but just some thing to consider if families are travelling with smaller children. Kitchen is well equipped and loved the outdoor upstairs bbq, this was well used during our stay! Couple of additions in the villa that would be useful - more chopping boards and mirrors in the bedrooms to get ready.

Access to the beach is via a number of steps - 10 minute walk down but allow 20 mins on the way back up. We all quite enjoyed the walk, after some nice meals on the sea front. The beach is open and spacious, but beware of the coarse sand and hot weather - it made it uncomfortable to walk on bare feet after a few trips in and out the sea!

Further afar, Begur town is beautiful so definitely worth a lunch/dinner out there. Our favourite beach was Aiguablava, although it does get busy so would suggest getting there early. Lovely sea food restaurant is a must (Toc al Mar), a bit pricey but worth it.

The only small issue we had was with the neighbours - only after 2 hours in the villa, we had complaints of too much noise from our children the pool and that it "was not acceptable". Yes, they were a little excited about being on holiday and were making some noise, but it was not at 11pm at night. Agreed we would keep the noise to an acceptable level but it did feel a little as though big brother was watching. We've been renting villas for over 20 years and have always respected the surroundings and property. Observing other villas around us, there were children having fun and making noise elsewhere, it's just what happens. However, we respected their opinion and took the comments on board.

Overall, a fabulous stay, would return.

Amazing villa in a beautiful location

The villa absolutely lived up to our expectations and definitely the best one we have stayed in.

Clean, spacious and designed with lots of areas for spending time together but equally a bit of me time too. Quality throughout & attention to detail with little extras provided by the owners.

The location is a perfect combination of feeling that you're away from it all with amazing views across green hills and down to the sea but then within a 10 -15 minute walk you're at a beautiful cove beach with a supermarket & restaurants. A 2km drive then takes you to other beaches or into the centre of the medieval town of Begur with a plethora of restaurants.

5 star & we will be back.

Coast/Beach:

Sa Riera beach is 10 min walking from the house (the way back is up hill). Illa Roja is a 20 min walk. Guests can drive to the other secluded coves of Sa Tuna (5 min) and Aiguablava (10 min) or to Calella - Llafranc - Tamariu in 20 min.

Travel:

Girona is the nearest airport which is approx 45min drive. Barcelona airport and Perpignan (France) are approx 1h 45min drive.

Distances:

Figueres and Dali Museum is approx 60 min drive. Girona and its Jewish quarter and Gothic cathedral is approx 45 min drive. Medieval villages with great restaurants of Peratallada, Pals, Palau Sator are approx 20 min drive

  • Notes on accommodation: The villa is very spacious and in an excellent and quiet location to enjoy the stunning beaches of Sa Riera and Illa Roja without the need of driving. The large garden and terraces in between the house and the pool and around it, is ideal for kids play, eating outdoors and chill out. Outside: The villa offers a large garden and several terraces to enjoy every moment of the day, a large 40 m2 pool (saline treatment - not clhoride) with natural timber decking and lawn, a roofed terrace with two outdoor sofas and a table, a 40 m2 terrace outside the kitchen for outdoor eating furnished with a large BBQ area and deck loungers with sea views Utility Room: The utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and iron board and a drying rack. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels are included in the price. The Villa is cleaned on arrival and departure. We also provide pool /beach towels. Other: The porch below the 40m2 terrace offers a quiet and relaxing area furnished with two outdoor sofas and a table, overlooking the garden , pool and sea in the distance.
