Located on the outskirts of the charming little hilltop village of Droushia (also called Drouseia) this 2 bedroom villa enjoys magnificent views across the entire Chrysochous Bay. Terrace, patio, established gardens with sunbeds, umbrellas and furniture, private pool (8x4m) with Roman steps, pool shower and a brick BBQ, set in a private cul-de-sac. Only a 10 minutes walk from local tavernas and a 10 minute drive to the beach. It offers the chance to experience traditional Cypriot village life in a little discovered part of Cyprus.

About Tim Clark

After visiting a number of the Greek Islands I finally ended up in Cyprus in 2001. I was staying in Paphos but took a boat excursion to Latchi and Polis and fell in love with this part of the Island and the really friendly locals. Most restaurant owners are still here and this place is now my retreat a few times a year. A real home from home and I never tire of my visits here and the amazing views.

This is still a relatively undiscovered part of Cyprus with small friendly villages and this villa has the most amazing views in a truly tranquil and peaceful setting.

What makes this villa unique

Ideal family villa where you can easily supervise younger children but for couples or groups of friends a great place to relax and as I do enjoy my compulsory 30 lengths a day in the pool (not often at once!). And then in the evening sit on the balcony and watch as the lights along the coast begin to twinkle as you listen to the crickets then as it gets dark look up, see the Milky Way, satellites passing over occasionally and if you're really lucky a shooting star or two will pass over you!

Love this place!

I love this villa! Roomy villa with all the facilities you need. Spotlessy clean & well maintained. The location is perfect as it's quiet and picturesque with amazing views. Close enough to nip to Polis & Latchi for evening meals which are high quality, great service & good value. My second visit to the villa this year & itching to return. You won't be disappointed. Car hire essential which is fine as there's a car port to keep it cool. 5 star bliss :)

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Paphos at 40 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Drouseia at 0.5 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Drouseia at 0.5 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Polis at 8 Kilometres Car: necessary

Coast/Beach:

The village which only has a population of just over 400 and where life has gone on unchanged for generations is full of character and offers the visitor the opportunity to experience true Cypriot village hospitality. It also has a handful of very good traditional tavernas and a small shop. Alternatively you can drive the 10-15 minutes or so to the small fishing village of Latchi with its picturesque harbour and fine seafood restaurants or the 'Blue Flag' beach at Polis.

Travel:

Paphos international airport is a 45 min drive away. Car hire easily available from the airport or locally is highly recommended. Please contact us for further details.

Distances:

Droushia (also called Drouseia) with its narrow winding streets and traditional stone houses is 27km from Paphos and 10km inland from Polis and Latchi which both have decent beaches and tavernas.

Further Details:

Kathikas with its winery and a couple of good tavernas is a 5 mins drive inland.

Changeover day is flexible although we do ask guests to vacate by 11am on day of departure and for arriving guests the villa is available from 3pm onwards.

  • Notes on accommodation: Air conditioning is an extra £4 per unit per day 10% discount if paid for in advance at time of booking (or 6 Euros per unit per day payable locally). Outside: A large private garden including traditional Cypriot BBQ area, plenty of terrace areas for sun bathing. Outside table and chairs and sun beds. Outside there is an 8x4m private pool (with Roman steps not ladder), BBQ area, covered parking, patio area's, sun loungers and umbrellas, patio furniture and established garden with shrubs, trees and flowers.
