About the Owner

I am 48 years old and have been married to Alison for 24 years. We have two young children, Freya aged 13 and Ted who is 10 years old.

The children have grown up going to the villa and we continue to really enjoy our family holidays in Spain.

We live in a little village between Basingstoke and Newbury.

I have owned a design and printing company since 1994 which is still going well despite the recent downturn in the economy.

At weekends we tend to go out as a family either for day trips to the New Forest, Bournemouth, London or out for something nice to eat.

We stay at the villa several times a year for family holidays + try to go for long weekends during the winter for some winter sun or to play golf.

For us it really is home from home and we keep continually modernising the villa.

A truly exceptional villa finished to the very highest standard inside and out. It is a family run villa owned from new, which has been very very well looked after. Guests think it is a real home from home. Having owned the property for over 10 years now, we have yet to receive any negative feedback.

Superb Villa - Outstanding

VISTA MAR Villa is a credit to Gary and his family, we have been visiting the Villa for the past 3 years, and it still takes our breath away each time.

Love the Villa, always clean & tidy when we arrive. You feel like it's a home from home, very welcoming. Modern and Spanish all work together beautifully, you never want to leave. The outside area speaks for itself when you see it absolutely stunning during the day, and tranquil on an evening.

Situated in a quite cul-de-sac, walking distance to all amenities, supermarket, Restaurants, Bars, La Zenia Boulevard (well worth a visit if you want to shop, eat and have a little drink), the beautiful beaches only 10mins away.

The little extras that you receive on your arrival such as your Welcome Pack is very welcoming especially if you have a late flight and the Supermarket is closed. The Information Pack, that has everything you want to know about the Villa, Area, Attractions, Places to Visit, the Markets, Transport, Taxi's etc, is very informative and helpful.

To sum up our stay in one word would be 'Fantastic' everything you could ever want in a Villa and more, added bonus of having everything in walking distance.

Throughout all the 3 years of us visiting the Villa, Gary has been superb - very helpful, always available to ask questions etc.

Would highly recommend this Villa - we have to a couple of our friends, who have thoroughly enjoyed their visit, and fell in love with the Villa & Area as much as we have.

Well done Gary & Family for making us feel so welcome.

Bonita casa

We stayed in this beautiful villa for two weeks and it really was a home from home ( if only we had a pool at home:) !). We absolutely love the location, it really is central to everything, yet in a peaceful cul de sac setting. We didn't need a car. It was a 5 mins walk to a good supermarket The beach is 10/15 mins at most and is a lovely walk; once there, you can walk along the coast for miles. Restaurants less than 10 mins walk away and every meal we had was good. The owners are always available should you have any questions or problems and the villa is maintained to an excellent standard with everything being of a high quality. The pool area is lovely and we enjoyed watching the birds and even had a hedgehog visit us. It was nice to have speakers in the garden and the roof terrace was lovely in the evening.We would definitely love to return and would highly recommend this property to others.

Fabulous Holiday Villa

We have just returned from a week's holiday in this fantastic holiday villa. There's 5 of us in our family, 3 children, aged 15, 8 and 5. Everything was ideal for all of us.

The villa is clearly very well looked after. It is of 5* quality, with comfy beds, air conditioned bedrooms, blackout blinds, really good shower, a well equipped kitchen...I could go on.

We met the cleaners when we first arrived to 'dump our bags' while they continued with their job and we went for a wander. They obviously take pride in their work, every spot cleaned thoroughly.

The outside space is also maintained to the same high level. The swimming pool is heaven, loungers of excellent quality, and sun roof for an added bonus.

We really liked the area. It is not touristy which we love but at the same time it has everything you could need. The supermarket is large and supplies everything you could need for a self catering stay. It is within 5 minutes walk. There are several beaches all within 10-15 minutes walk (the time includes our 5 year old daughter's walking speed). There is a shopping centre within 10 minutes walk which is fantastic, lots of choice of restaurant, plus shops a plenty and entertainment including water fountains the children can play in.

Gary has been brilliant, with excellent communication, recommendations and confirmations of everything. This has been throughout, from booking to date. This included the recommendation for a taxi transfer from the airport (Clive) who was timely and pointed out where places were as we approached the villa.

We would highly recommend staying here and will be looking to book again for our next foreign holiday.

5***** Villa

We stayed at this beautiful Villa for a week at the end of June.

We have stayed in many lovely villas over the years, but this one is outstanding.

Gary and Alison have thought of everything. It is beautifully furnished and very well looked after, a real home from home.

We were a party of six adults and a baby of six months. (Three generations)

Gary and Alison even went out and bought a brand new travel cot for our Grandson before we arrived.

The property was spotless and very well maintained.

The pool was amazing, as was the outside space with an awning to keep you cool in the heat of the day and a wonderful roof terrace with views of the sea in the distance.

Gary provided excellent customer service, he was very prompt in answering any questions I had before booking and kept us fully informed throughout.

It took us about 15 minutes to stroll to the beach at Playa Flamenca ( I do not walk very fast) which was lovely and very clean.

There is a supermarket about five minutes walk away and the La Zenia shopping centre about a 20 minute stroll which has about 150 shops and restaurants. It even has a C & A. Taxis are plentiful and reasonable. You do not need a car.

I celebrated my 70th birthday while we were away and Gary recommended the Lobster Restaurant overlooking the sea.it did not disappoint the meal was delicious and the service was excellent.

I would certainly recommend the Villa and Playa Flamenca to anyone, we had an amazing holiday. Thank you Gary and Alison for sharing your lovely home with us.

Perfect Villa in Perfect location!!

We arrived slightly early to find Gary and Alison there sorting everything for us. As they were there, we were greeted with Cava and a tour of the villa.

It really is a suburb villa with everything you could think of. Roof terrace was great and we even got up early to watch the sunrise on the roof.

The location is just fantastic with commercial centre with bars and restaurants, to La Zenia boulevard shopping centre ( well worth a visit).

The beach is 15 minute walk and supermarket 5 minute walk.

Gary couldn't be more helpful before we arrived with emails and a phone call.

We used someone Gary recommended for airport transfer, Ann and Tim, and from this we ended up booking a a sunset boat tour ( private chartered) from Torrevieja with them. Well well well worth it!!

When we first brought the villa, there were very few shops or bars/restaurants close by, but with it's fantastic position at the end of a quiet cul de sac and only 5 minutes walk to the beach, we thought it would only be a matter of time before bars/restaurants began to open. There are now 3 large complexes of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets within 5-10 minutes walk and La Zenia Boulevard + large modern supermarket which has it's own bakery and fish counter. The seafront has a new promenade with beach bars in each sandy cove. We can leave our house at lunch time and enjoy dinner at a restaurant near the villa early evening. We also decided buying below Alicante because it is very flat and enjoys a micro climate where it shines for over 300 days a year so ideal for the winter months.
