Nanpa is a new three bedroom villa, finished to a very high standard with large open plan ground floor leading onto a spacious private patio and pool.

Patio area provides a tranquil setting for breakfast or dinner, many an enjoyable hour spent in the evening relaxing around the garden furniture with a cold Banks beer and watching the fire-flies.

Nanpa is part of a new complex of just 28 houses located on the beautiful West Coast of Barbados, (just 1km north of Holetown). This area is known the 'Platinum Coast' which is well justified. The beach is a short walk from Porters Gate. For those who wish to relax at Nanpa then you have the choice of your own private pool. There is also a communal pool and tennis court for use of guests.

Nanpa has been built to a very high standard, fully equipped Italian kitchen with granite work surfaces. Flat screen TV with DVD player (selection of DVD's for guests to view). You can also charge and listen to your iPod with the iPod docking station.

Free WiFi and cable TV available for guests....essential these days!

There's not much more positive comments that I can add that previous reviewers haven't said.

5 of us spent 9 nights at Nanpa; unfortunately we had to return to the UK( sigh...).Never mind, we'll be back!

This was my 10th trip to the Caribbean & probabaly the best so far.

fabulous holiday

Nanpa is a lovely well equipped house in a very quite location.

There are fantastic beaches and restaurants within easy reach.

Our stay on Barbados was great. Paul made our holiday run very smoothly with all his help and information. We are looking forward to our return to Barbados already! Thank You.

Excellent Villa in a Great Location

We travelled out to Barbados on 10/1/15 and stayed at Nanpa for 2 weeks. We are now classified as almost 'Bajan' as we have travelled to Barbados on 6 previous occasions. We love it and have travelled and stayed all around the island. North, South, East and now West - The platinum coast.

Staying at Nanpa was simply superb! I say this for a number of reasons but probably number 1 was the location. Nanpa is tucked away off the main coastal road and is therefore very quiet. Quiet and yet only walking distance from beautiful beaches and Hometown which offers a variety of shops and restaurants. The platinum coast is probably the place to be on Barbados. We love it all but if you're only considering the one visit then we'd recommend the Platinum coast for all your holiday requirements.

Number 2 reason is Nanpa itself. It has a large open plan living area and beautiful al fresco dining area beside an adequately sized pool. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Think home from home and you'll start to get the picture. Upstairs you have 3 big bedrooms all with balconies and large wet rooms ensuite. I felt like a Roman Emperor showering in the larger of the 3 wet rooms. High ceilings, his and hers sinks, marble and stone all around.. really nice!

As we were a party of 3 (2 adults and 1 child) Nanpa was more than adequately sized for our needs. In fact the extra bedroom came in handy for me when i had one too many Banks Beers one evening!!!!

Nanpa is a terraced house in a gated community. Very quiet all around. Theres a tennis court and a larger swimming pool about 50 meters from Nanpa. We played tennis and were in the community pool quite a few times. We had the pool to ourselves on each occasion. Did I mention it's very quiet?

We hired a car the first week we were there and used it to travel around and purchase our groceries. The second week we done without and just stayed around Nanpa, Hometown and the beaches. Didn't miss the car at all.

So, to summarise. If you're thinking of a holiday in Barbados and don't want the fuss and expense of a hotel. We highly recommend Nanpa.

Nearest Airport : Bridgetown at 40 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Westmoreland at 1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Lone Star at 1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Glitter Bay, Royal Fairmont at 500 Metres Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

The fabulous West Coast of Barbados is just a five minute walk away from Porters Gate. The closest beach is along the same stretch of beach as the Glitter Bay Hotel.

A very popular beach used by guests is at Ju Ju's beach bar, great food (v cheap) superb rum punch and cheap sun-beds. Located between Lone Star restaurant and Glitter bay hotel. Drive 2 mins north from P Gate and park to the side of the Seventh Day Adventist church (white with red roof) and walk down to beach. Stunning!

Travel:

Travel time from the airport is about 30/40 mins depending on traffic. If self drive, aim for Holetown, drive 1km North turn right off coast road into Mango Drive just 100 metres before the Glitter bay hotel.

Distances:

Holetown 1km South. Beach 5 min walk.

Further Details:

Holetown is only 1km away, has now become the premier town in Barbados, the new "Lime Grove" shopping Pavilion is very impressive! Supermarkets, banks, shops, restaurants and bars are all easily accessible in Holetown. Go to first street on Sunday night! Very busy street party, good fun.

Booking Notes:
20% deposit required upon booking, balance two months before arrival.

A deposit of £100 per week is also required, this is to cover breakages and electricity usage.

Electricity is paid for by guest on a 'pay as you go' system, on arrival and departure guest texts owner a meter reading. Guest is charged £30 per 100 units used, prevents guests leaving air-conditioning on with windows open whilst on the beach for the day! (Cost works out as about £60 per week depending on usage).

Changeover Day:
Flexible changeover day. Guests are requested to vacate the house by 12noon on day of departure. House will be available for occupancy at 4pm on arrival date. This is negotiable with owners depending on next guests arrival date.

Notes on prices:
Prices are per week, you will see that the nightly rate works out as £140, £160 per night depending on low or high season.

10% last minute booking discount offered for any bookings taken 4 weeks before arrival.

Any Armed forces personnel very welcome indeed, are entitled to 15% discount anytime of the year.

Discount is available for bookings of over two weeks, ask for details.

A nice finishing touch to the rooms are the down lighters and wall sconces throughout. Telephone is provided for free local calls. Free WiFi Internet and Cable TV. Please note: This property is rented out under the rules and laws as laid down by the Barbados government. Outside: Illuminated Coral-stone planters have also been designed around the pool perimeter (see photos) the shrubs and palms have been planted to attract humming birds and fire-flys.. In the evening turn all the lights off and look for the fire-flys darting around the upper branches of the shrubs. The aroma from the lake view Jasmin also adds to the relaxing feel of the rear patio area. All garden furniture and sun-loungers are of a very high standard and very comfortable. There is a an outside shower that you are urged to use before using the pool, helps keep the filters clean and so helps keep the pool crystal clear. There is also a built in barbecue for use of the guests and a shaded patio area with table and chairs for outside dining. Ceiling fan added above outside dining table. There is also a communal swimming pool and tennis court. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer and drying area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen and bathroom towels are provided but guests are asked to bring their own towels for use on the beach and poolside. Property is cleaned once a week. More frequent cleaning can be arranged on request. Other: Understairs cupboard for suit case storage etc for use of guests. There is a wall safe in the wardrobe in the master bedroom.
