About the Owner


We have ran our own entertainment businesses for some 20 years, and running any type of agency, you are always in demand and work can be very stressful. For this reason we purchased in Spain where it's a short flight with all amenities very close by. Coming from Manchester, blue skies and no rain is rare so going to the apartment is truly a sight for sore eyes. With the internet available at the apartment, as much as we like to relax on holiday, we can at least keep in touch with clients so work is not neglected and after a morning's work, there are some beautiful walks where we can switch off.

Hi Gaynor. Just a quick feedback from our fabulous weeks holiday in your apartment. We had a wonderful time and found the apartment to be just what we wanted. Early evening on the balcony sipping our G & Ts watching the sun go down, fantastic. Found some new restaurants including the Blue Marlin. Visited the shopping mall much to my wife’s delight.

Fabulous apt with stunning views no matter what time of day from terrace. Local bars and restaurants, plentiful and varied all within walking distance either on or off the complex won't mention any in particular as I could wax lyrical all day, but you won'the be disappointed no matter what your taste. Car or no car? You genuinely don't need one as local transport on doorstep, is very reliable and cheap eg €4 gets two into Fuengirolla. Taxis on complex if you feel the need to ride the hill for the distance they take you don't come cheap, for this reason alone, I would recommend a hire car for lengthy stays. If you love the beach try El Bombo and La Cala beaches, beautiful, with beach bars serving great dishes. Gaynor is brilliant and gave us added advice as well as sorting our transfer from airport for us. All in all, had a wonderful holiday and hill or not, we will certainly return, hopefully soon, Keith&Clarice.

Beautiful apartment with stunning sea views

Firstly I have to say that the owner of this apartment Gaynor has been an incredible help to us throughout our whole booking and stay. Gaynor has shown to be very trustworthy,has shown great patience and has been very helpful. Gaynor provided everything to accommodate us in order for us to have a stress free stay.

The apartment itself was as beautiful as the picture with everything provided as if it was your own home from home.

it was all the little extra touches that made it a welcoming experience.

my partner and I did not hire a car so everyday was an adventure! the bus service was fantastic we travelled to marbella,feungirolla,and benalmadena.

The apartment is situated as stated so you need to be reasonably fit if you like to get out and about.The local supermarket is fantastic and reasonably priced it's about a 5 min walk and the beach is about a ten minute walk.

There are plenty of restaurants available in surrounding areas and the local Indian restaurant beside the supermarket is great.

All in all the apartment was scrupulously clean beautiful apartment and would highly recommend this to anyone who is reading this review

My partner and I had one of the best holidays of our lives in this apartment and the experience will be treasured. We didn't want to come home!!

Lovely apartment ideally placed for golf and coast

Very nicely appointed apartment as per description and ideally located for us between the coast and the Miraflores golf club. We enjoy walking so no problem though less fit may find it a bit hilly walking up the hill from the coast. We enjoyed walking to several nearby bars and restaurants and enjoyed the new walkway promenade to Mijas Costa along the beach.

All arrangements went smoothly thanks to Gaynor and it was good to have the little extras of coffee, wine, milk etc provided especially as we arrived late in evening.

Certainly would come back to this lovely haven!

enjoyable holiday

We had never spent three weeks away in one place before so we did a lot of homework looking for accommodation where we could be comfortable and this lived up to our expectations. Although we went out everyday we spent our evenings comfortably "at home" We used local buses and the trains to get around managing without a car but we are keen walkers. Area was quiet but there were enough places for coffee and lunch everyday.The apartment was well furnished plenty of room for 2 people.Lovely view down the coast to Gibralter.Plenty of info from Gaynor the owner Definitely would return

Best Apartment Yet

A late review due to family illness and bereavement but had to post as this was the best apartment I have stayed in within the area. A very accurate description and the process of booking and dealing with owner was excellent, including recommendation for car hire. The balcony with view has to be one of the main plus points, perfect for sitting out enjoying some homemade Sangria, yes there is now a Sangria jug in the apartment. Looking at dates to book again for another relaxing holiday this year.

From the Owner

We chose this property because of the peaceful location and it has all that we need within walking distance. We always hire a car but some of our guests have had brilliant holidays just taking the local bus. The gardens are extremely well maintained and whatever time of year you visit, the gardeners are there watering and planting and the swimming pool is pristine clean. All the owners pay high maintenance fees but these are worth every penny. So many Spanish properties in other resorts are extremely neglected but as we understand it, some parts of the complex still belong to Miraflores and therefore, as they charge virtually double what the owners charge for their apartments, the apartments and all alleyways and gardens have to be kept to a very high standard. The flowers are just stunning throughout the complex and there are numerous Spanish residents living in the complex. There is very little noise as there is very little for teenagers to do in this part.

Nearest Airport : Malaga at 40 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Fuengirola at 8 Kilometres Nearest Train : Fuengirola at 8 Kilometres Nearest Beach : 10 minute walk at 600 Metres Car: recommended


There are at least 3 local beaches locally. Miraflores beach is at the bottom of the road and La Cala and Torrenueva are also great locations to spend an entire day sunbathing and dining from the incredible fish restaurants where many Spanish go regularly to dine. All these beaches are flat. For a change you can visit Cabopino with the beautiful marina and fabulous beach. Nachos at Torrenueva without doubt, offers the best value for money. Sundays are packed with the locals so get there early!


Nearest airport is Malaga 30 minutes maximum drive. Gibraltar airport is around 50 minutes drive from Miraflores. Car hire is not absolutely essential at Miraflores but it is certainly recommended. (There is a bus stop at the bottom of the road)Gibraltar is well worth a visit and is maximum an hour's drive. (Do not park a hire car in Gibraltar without checking your insurance (It is a different country). If you are planning on just lazing around and sunbathing then Miraflores is ideal but if you plan to travel, you are close to everywhere.


Fuengirola - 10 minutes drive

La Cala and its fantastic market every Wed/Sat - 5 minutes drive away. Calahonda - 5 minutes drive

Marbella - 10 minutes drive

Benalmadena - 20 minutes drive

Malaga Airport - 25-30 minutes drive

Mijas Village - 15 minutes drive (beautiful white village with many many shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and donkey rides into and out of the town!

La Canada Shopping Centre, Ojen to shop! (10 minute drive)

Erosci entertainment centre 10 minutes by car with a fully fledged cinema in the complex plus many great shops in the mall part.

Further Details:

Watersports are readily available at Cabopino and La Cala very close by. Cabopino is simply gorgeous. Gibraltar is a great day out and you can even visit the monkeys on the mountain with your own private Tour Guide. Scuba Diving, Golf, Aquaparks and just about everything for the energetic are readily available. Gibraltar is maximum one hour drive.

Many walkers use this area as you can literally walk for miles. It is a very safe area of Spain and mainly used by families or mature residents - there are no discos unless you go into Calahonda. Within a 10 minute walk you will find a couple of bars and some of the best restaurants around plus newsagent/gift shop, local ENGLISH supermarket selling all the English brands from Kelloggs to Heinz. We strongly recommend if you are stocking up for the week that you go to Lydl some 5 minutes drive up the coast road at Calahonda where the prices are much cheaper. Most of the residents would never shop anywhere else.

The best exchange bureau is next to Supersol in Calahonda. You will get charged at a bank. Just take your English money to the Cambio Exchange next to Supersol for the best rates - the more you cash, the higher the rate.

Open Core Supermarket is very close to the apartment and open every day of the year including Christmas Day. It is not so cheap but it is certainly very handy. The Pharmacy just down the road is excellent and all staff speak English and are extremely helpful. If you play Golf, there are so many courses to choose from as this area is surrounded by different Golf Courses. Internet computers are at the Club/Reception or you can bring your laptop to the apartment where there is FREE 24/7 WI FI. English newspapers and books are at the Club although there are numerous books & DVD's in the apartment. Indian, Chinese, Italian, English restaurants are all just a couple of minutes drive away. There is a Barclays Bank some 2 minute drive off the coast road. (apart from Spanish banks locally). Supersol is a highly popular supermarket and close by at Calahonda but Lydl is for sure, the best value.

They have recently built a walk-way from La Cala beach going all the way past Miraflores which makes for great exercise or even cycling. It runs all the way down the beaches passing all the local beach restaurants so take some flat shoes to make the most of your holiday!

From the Owner

Unique benefits is the sunshine in the apartment most of the day and always being bright even on the odd grey day. The view is beautiful and it is so tranquil. Over the years, we have had many a holiday ruined with inconsiderate people making noise at night and coming in at all hours and noise spreading from apartment to apartment. Due to there being no discos and bars on our doorstep, there is nothing for youngsters to do in the area so we have absolute peace and quiet and you can literally hear a pin drop. Obviously in the summer it is busy but we have never had noise issues. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the road if you don't want to take the car and that bus route takes you to either Malaga or Marbella depending on the direction you want to travel. You can literally travel the coast from the bottom of the road. Also, if you want to venture further out, you can book an excursion via Reception which are all available with an abundance of choices and they will explain to you about pick up times. We have made this apartment our second home and the furnishings exceed most apartments on the site unless you are renting a luxury villa! We have even now incorporated a little desk area so you can work away on your laptop - if you absolutely MUST! - if you are like us, and still need to keep in touch with your business or job, you have a designated area away from the TV. We have tried to cover absolutely every need for our discerning guests. If you are accustomed to staying in top hotels, then we don't think you will find many less benefits by staying in our apartment - except of course you do have to make your own meals!

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment has spectacular views and you will probably be happy to dine on the terrace. No rowdy behaviour in this area as it is more residential but if you do hear noise, Security have a number you can phone. Occasionally Sundays are a difficult arrival day. Please check. Outside: The apartments are set within tropical flowers and gardens - Miraflores literally means 'look at the flowers'. Most Thursday nights at the pool there is a bar-b-q during high season. At the pool there are free sunbeds & straw umbrellas, showers, WCs, and shallow end in the larger pool. Very private pool area with plenty of trees and shade in the height of the summer. Although the Sea is close by, you are never far from the Miraflores Golf Course some 5 minutes driving distance -famous throughout Andalucia. You can hire clubs from Reception. Everywhere is extremely well lit at night. All the exterior corridors are cleaned on a daily basis. Many older people choose to settle in Miraflores because of its lovely location and tranquil setting with plenty of parking. Clothes airer for smaller terrace. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: What’s included?
