Beautiful detached villa facing the breathtaking mountain range of Sierra Tejeda. The villa is surrounded by a national park. Close to Lake Vinuela and the coast. It is perfectly located for access to the loveliest cities in Andalucia. Day trips will get you to Malaga, Granada, Seville, Cordoba and Ronda. It has 3 double bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen, dining room and lounge. Furnished to a high standard with marble floors throughout. Patio doors lead from lounge to outside terrace overlooking countryside. At the rear is good sized swimming pool and sun terraces. Built in barbecue area and bar. The villa is set in mature gardens with orange and lemon trees.

absolutely gorgeous with every comfort needed

The villa was an absolute delight, spacious and extremely comfortable. The view of the mountains is stunning and the location is ideal for anyone looking to cycle in the hills or drive down to the local beaches. Everything we needed could be found at the villa, and the swimming pool and outside areas were an absolute delight. The villa is an ideal holiday spot for families, cyclists, runners, or sun worshipers, and I would highly recommend a holiday there. A great reminder of all that Spain has to offer.

Relaxing rural retreat

We enjoyed a super family holiday here with our three teenage children for two weeks in August 2015. The property is really well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The pool was perfect and really well maintained by regular visits from the 'pool man' - who we enjoyed chatting to. It was also reassuring to know that there was an English caretaker nearby should we have any problems - but we didn't! We all enjoyed the peaceful, quiet location and privacy of our 'own pool'. Although the villa is in a quiet location it was in easy reach of many lovely restaurants, places to visit and shops so we had the best of both worlds!

It was a pleasure to deal with the owner who provided detailed and accurate information about the villa and surrounding area. She also sent clear directions to find the villa.

We would definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in Spain who would like to be in a rural location but also have easy access to the coast and its facilities.

Rest and Relaxation in sunny. Spain

Just returned from our 3 week holiday. The villa was all we could have wished for and more, within walking distance of the village bar in Venta Baja. A small choice of bars and shops were a 5 mins drive away and large supermarket and commercial parc 25 mins drive at Velez Malaga.

The weather was hot and we were glad of the pool and terraced area. The villa was clean with all facilities that we needed, apart from Wifi, but available at all the local bars.

If you are seeking a relaxing holiday away from the crowds then I would recommend staying here. We will be returning.

I stayed in the villa casa mimosa in November 2014

Loved this relaxing villa which is in a quiet location but just a 15 min walk to the nearby shops bars cafes.

The villa is so comfy and the pool area with its lovely gardens made it feel be relax and unwind immediately

Great villa

I stayed at this very well equipped villa for a long weekend. Its a short drive from Malaga airport (approx 45 mins) and is easy to get to from uk for the weekend . The villa is very clean and very comfortable with a good sized swimming pool. The kitchen is fab with everything you would need to cook for a large family or group. There is a lovely balcony at the front where you can watch the sun go down with a glass of wine and a game of scrabble. ( good selection of board games provided at the villa, along with dvds). Inside there are 3 good sized bedrooms and all linen is provided. The lounge has a large tv and dvd player and is very comfy if you want to escape from the sunlounger to inside . Its a really peaceful place but is close enough to the nearby village to walk to . I would recommend a car as there are lots of great places to explore nearby eg the national park which has some excellent walks in fantastic scenery. There are also lots of restaurants to choose from many within a short drive and some just a short walk. I will definitely return here and will recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday or short break.

casa mimosa

casa mimosa is a fantastic place to stay, it is in fantastic and breathtaking surroundings it is situated in a lovely little spanish village, the locals are so friendly and welcoming. We have stayed at mimosa for the last 5 years and have no problem whatsoever with the villa, the pool is immaculate and well maintained, on arrival at the villa you will find that everything is in order and clean all ready for you to start your holiday, in the village there is local bars and restaurants and two english shops and a fish and chip shop, it is also brilliant place has a base for visiting other places such as torremilnos, benalmadena, torre del mar, and nerja plus other places in the area, all within an hours drive away and a 20 minute drive to the nearest beach also torrox is a great place to visit in the evening for eating out with a brilliant atmosphere. i would recommend this property to anyone wanting to rent, the owner of the property leaves out plenty of information regarding the villa and nearby places to visit.

Location

From the Owner

I love the area. Its convenient for Malaga and Granada airports. Close to the coast and set in lovely countryside. Its famous for being possible to ski in the snow at the resort in Granada in the morning then be sunbathing on the beach on the Costa del Sol in the afternoon.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

20 minutes drive to nearest beach at Torre Del Mar. Long beach with swimming and water sports available. Restaurants and cafes on the beach itself and along the promenade.

Many other beaches along the coast both to the west and east including Marbella all accessible by car.

Travel:

Nearest airport Malaga. One hour drive away.

Granada airport two hour drive from villa.

Car hire essential but cheap and readily available at airports.

Distances:

The villa is located on a private avenue with 6 other individual and beautiful villas. They are all secluded from each other in their own grounds. The village is about one mile away. We walk there to get provisions. There are a number of lovely whitewashed Spanish villages in the area to visit. The National Park is entered at Alcaucin, a village 10 mins drive away. Perfectly situated for day trips to Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Ronda and Malaga. All magnificent cities.

Further Details:

Along the east coast about an hour away is the lovely resort of Nerja with its famous caves. To the west, less than 2 hours away, are the glamorous resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus.

If you just want to stay local there are plenty of good country restaurants and bars serving excellent meals and tapas.

At Torre del Mar there is the beach and a waterpark which very popular with the children. There is also a shopping centre there with a large supermarket, Clothes shops including Mango and Zara. Also a bowling alley and cinema.

Lake Vinuela is close by and offers water sports.

This luxury villa was built in 2001 and lived in as a home until 2005. Since then it has been used as a holiday home but has all the comforts of a permanant home. It has been regularily redecorated and refurbished. A caretaker lives nearby so if you have any problems someone is on hand to help out be it with the house or the pool.
