The property benefits from an elevated position giving it sweeping sea views over the bay of Sao Martinho. The apartment is just a few steps away from the beach (65 metres) in the most sought-after area of Sao Martinho Do Porto.

The apartment is light and spacious with contemporary furnishings, it has been equipped to a superb standard. The private balcony on the upper floor is large and perfect for entertaining. An additional private patio accessed from the lounge and kitchen has direct access to the pool (handy for families). Both the balcony and patio have sea and pool views. The property also has free fast and unlimited wi-fi for guests use.

In the lounge you have a very wide range of options for channels as there is a Satellite for standard British channels and also a MEO cable television subscription with 140 channels in many languages. There are a number of movie channels included which are typically in English with Portuguese subtitles. In addition you have a generous selection of DVDs to watch on the DVD player.

Apologies it has taken me so long to get in touch post holiday just to say we had a great time at Palmeiras Weather was superb - just one cloudy morning which burnt off in the afternoon. Ideally placed it was so easy to access everything in St M and we could leave our teenage sons to "Chill" and watch the DVDs you had kindly left ! We enjoyed daily coffees with the locals up in the back of the town on the way back from the daily market and the fish restaurants at the port were fantastic - we visited Pesca NoPrato twice it was so good! (The Rough Guide missed those, once again full of locals). Liz.

Coast/Beach:

Approximately 50 meters to fine sandy beach. Fantastic sunset as the sun sets on the ocean. There are lifeguards throughout the key summer months.

Travel:

Lisbon Airport is recommended as it is an easy drive along the A8 taking between 50 mins to 1 hour depending on traffic. At the time of writing we suggest you try Easy Jet, BMI Baby, British Airways or TAP Portugal for flights. Porto (Oporto) is serviced by Ryan Air and EasyJet and is approximately 2.5 hours drive from the property.

Distances:

13th century walled medieval town of Obidos - 15 mins drive.

Obidos Lagoon - 15 mins drive.

Foz do Arelho beach (surfing) - 15 mins drive.

Caldas Da Rainha (spa town) - 15 mins drive.

Alcabaca Cathedral City- 20 mins drive.

Praia D'El Rey - (famous golf course) 25 mins. Rated as the 13th best course in Continental Europe by Golf World magazine. This challenging championship course runs through parkland before opening up along the cliff top to give some breathtaking sea views.

It is in the same block just one door away from this one. Perfect for families travelling together but wanting their own space. We can offer a 10% discount for booking both properties. The additional property can sleep up to 10 people by arrangement.

There are smallish local supermarkets within the town. Caldas Da Rainha has a E.Leclerc which is a hypermarket.
