Villa in Los Alcazares, Costa Calida - Perfectly Situated for Exploring South East Spain

This spacious home built in 2004 is on three levels with 3 twin bedrooms sleeping 6/8 people and has two bathrooms. Only 5 minutes walk from the beach of fine sand. There are 8 golf courses within a short drive. It is the perfect setting to explore South East Spain and the ancient cities of Cartegena and Murcia within a short drive. For water sports enthusiasts there is everything you could dream of around the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor (smaller sea) is a natural wonder and is the largest saltwater lake in Europe. It is separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a 22km trip of land call La Manga. The Mar Menor area is known as ‘The Costa Calida’ meaning the warm coast. It has on average 320 days of sunshine a year. As it averages only 4m in depth, it warms up very quickly and is usually about 7 degrees warmer than the Mediterranean Sea. Great for bathing and water sports. It is renowned for its benevolent chemical properties and is classified as medicinal.

Lovely relaxing family holiday.

Well maintained apartment, ideal for relaxing family holiday. The pool was a real hit for our three children as they had it pretty much to themselves even in July!

The surrounding area was residential and quiet (not many bars etc) which suited us but a nice 10-15 min walk took us to a strip with plenty of nice restaurants to choose from. The apartment had all mod cons with widescreen tv, dvd etc. If it had air conditioning in the bedrooms it would have been perfect!

Beautiful villa extremely clean and well looked after, pool and pool area immaculate, lovely for a nice laid back holiday with access to bars and restaurants within walking distance , also supermarket near by , definitely will go again and certainly recommend this villa to my friends

Fabulous

My husband and I have just returned from a week in this lovely villa. We have stayed here before and always have a great time. The house is always clean comfortable and well maintained. The complex is small and quiet the pool area is lovely to sit at and gets the sun all day. It's a nice 10- 15 min walk to where all the restaurants and bars for dinner. There is a cafe across the road in the shopping centre which is great for breakfast . I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality place to have a holiday.

Spain.A perfect family holiday

A first family holiday abroad.Perfect in every way.The villa was very clean and spacious with everything you need.The pool was lovely and also very clean.The beach was great.Perfect if you are a sun worshipper,great for kids to swim in.A wide variety of restaurants and bars to eat and drink in,about a 15 minute walk away. We would recommend Route 66 along the strip,fantastic food! If you don't want to eat out you could go to the local supermarket which is seconds from the villa to stock up on supplies.We would recommend the villa to anyone looking for a relaxed holiday in a quiet area but you do have the nightlife if you want it.Would stay there again.Amazing!!

Fantastic Holiday

The propery was fanstastic, very spacious, comfortable and clean. The pool area was lovely and clean and very safe for children. You could only enter the complex through either the apartment or a locked gate so we felt extremely safe there. It is a very peaceful place and I can honestly say I havent felt as chilled out in years! The apartment has a supermarket within 2 minutes walk so very convenient. The only slight negative is that it is a good 15 minute walk to the main Plaza area so if you want to be in the thick of the nightlife you may want to be a bit closer. We also struggled with the public transport that never seemed to turn up so if you would like a day out anywhere out of the resort I would suggest renting a car. However for anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings this place is perfect. Would definately come back here and recommend to friends and family.

Coast/Beach:

The villa is situated only 5 mins walk from the beach. The beach is fine sand and the sea is warm. Los Narejos is on the western shore of the Mar Menor and is at the north end of a promenade of 7km in length. Along this bars, cafes and restaurants provide drinks, tapas, meals and entertainment. There is boat and canoe hire locally. Pedaloes and sun loungers are for hire on the beach. The whole area is ideal for cycling as it is fairly flat and bicycles can be hired locally.

Travel:

Murcia San Javier airport is 5 a min drive. Alicante airport is a 40 min drive. Car not required.
