Apartment in Miraflores, Mijas Costa, Costa del Sol - Peaceful Tropical Location But Close To Beaches, Shops, Bars And Restaurants

Our apartment in Monte Miraflores is in the original part of Miraflores. It is set in very lush mature tropical gardens and is an exceptionally well maintained resort. We are in a quiet location - even in peak season! The apartment is large and spacious with a south facing terrace this is excellent for dining or just relaxing with drink. There is a choice of 2 swimming pools, one with a bar selling food and drinks. Just a couple of minutes walk away is the local shopping centre with supermarket, shops, restaurants and bars. Miraflores has its own beach, or head to Cabopino with the Las Dunas Beach Bar- we think the best beach bar on the Costa del Sol!. We are just 10 mins to Marbella with its fashionable shopping, or to lively Fuengirola with its waterpark, zoo and nightlife. There are over 30 golf courses along the coast all set in stunning locations. During your stay why not visit some of the white hilltop villages or one of the many Theme parks including Selwo Safari Park.

"Great experience from initial booking to relaxing in a lovely apartment in a fantastic location” We were very lucky to make contact with a very genuine lady who made the whole holiday experience a pleasure, from the initial simple process of booking the apartment, to receiving excellent and very clear directions to the apartment and the collection of the keys etc. This well thought out process was very helpful and important after an early start and a long day travelling to Spain. The apartment was exactly what my wife and I required for a relaxing 10 day break, very comfortable, clean, plenty of room, excellent bathroom (shower), kitchen, lounge and patio area from where we relaxed with a couple of glasses of wine enjoying a fine view of the sea. The Miraflores development was very quiet, extremely clean and well kept, more up market than we had imagined, providing excellent facilities, from a nice quiet pool hidden behind the patio hedge, and the shops, supermarket, bars and restaurants within a 3 minute walk. There were additional facilities, a pharmacy and more restaurants etc, only a couple of minutes away by car, and the location is excellent for travelling into the nearby major towns, cities and villages should you like to explore. Would we recommend the apartment, wholeheartedly yes, will we return, definitely, the apartment, its location and value for money are in our opinion top class, and the beaches all around are superb. Appartement spacieux et confortable dans une résidence très calme et très bien entretenue. Le logement dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires pour passer un bon séjour. Une supérette à proximité ainsi que plusieurs restaurants sont des atouts supplémentaires.

Les piscines sont elles aussi très appréciées et très joliment paysagées.

Je recommande sans hésitations.

Miraflores has its own beach which is within walking distance of the apartment. The long sandy beaches of Cabopino and La Cala are just 5 mins drive from the apartment. We love the beach at Cabopino, with the best beach bar on the Costa del Sol!


Malaga airport is just 25 mins drive from the apartment. We would recommend the use of a hire car so that you can explore and enjoy all that Andulucia has to offer, although it is perfectly possible to stay in the apartment without a car and use the regular local bus service. There are shops, bars and restaurants a couple of mins walk of the apartment. We can arrange transfer to and from the airport if required.

Further Details:

Within a couple of minutes walk are supermarket (with fresh baked bread!), cashpoint, a variety of shops and several bars and restaurants. During your stay we recommend that you head for the rustic Andulucian countryside and visit some of the Pueblos Blancos (white villages). These are perched on the top of hills and are quite breathtaking. There are so many activities available to keep everyone happy. From a day lazing around the beach or pool, to numerous theme parks including a safari park, or aquarium. Or a day trip to visit one of Spain's cultural highlights such as Ronda or the Alhambra Palace at Granada. There is so much to do and see in and around the Costa del Sol it is a challenge to fit it all into one holiday! To keep life simple you can book day trips e.g. to Granada or Gibraltar from the Miraflores reception.

  • Notes on accommodation: This apartment has been built in the Medina style, so stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It is larger and more spacious than a lot of apartments being over 90 square meters. The Miraflores resort is very open with no sense of being crowded in. There are beautifully well maintained tropical gardens surrounding all of the apartments. Our apartment is very well equipped. The kitchen has additional appliances,even a juicer-for making your own chilled fresh fruit juices using local fruit! We have had many wonderful family holidays. In front of the apartment is a hedged garden, overlooking the pool with great views to enjoy whilst sitting on the terrace with a glass of Spain’s finest! In addition, for the use of guests, Miraflores has tennis courts, a bowling green, a pool with restaurant & nightclub to enjoy. Outside: The private terrace is fully furnished with comfy lie-back chairs with cushions. Just right for a quick siesta! There is a garden in front of the apartment which is hedged off and overlooks the pool which is a terrace below. The pool which even in peak season remains quite quiet has ample sun loungers and sun umbrellas. We have access to another pool just a minutes walk further along. This pool has a bar that sells drinks, ice-creams and light meals during the summer months. An addtional private space is provided by a courtyard by the entrance to the apartment. This can be a shady spot to sit or a gated area for leaving all those beach/pool inflatables etc. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen is included except beach towels. Additional linen changes and cleaning available upon request, and an additional charge applied. We use a local English speaking agency who have been excellent over the years.
