Villa with private pool set in large landscaped private gardens, with stunning views to the Monchique hills. Sleeps 4 with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 double en-suite, 1 twin with own bathroom). BBQ and 2 patio areas (1 pool side, 1 mountain and garden view). Air con, wifi and tv. Fully equipped kitchen and large lounge with two seating areas and dining area, with panoramic views to both sides of villa. 10 minutes drive to stunning beaches of Alvor fishing village, shopping facilities at Portimao and cobbled streets of restaurants and shops in Lagos. Perfect golfing location close to Penina golf resort and many Algarve golf courses, and easy access to autodrome. 50 minutes drive to Faro airport, car hire is essential.

Outside: The villa is surrounded by landscaped, well maintained gardens with two large grassy areas, small orchard area with fruit trees, private pool and patios (on one side) and further patio with mountain views (to other side)- patio furniture on each. 25’ long private pool with four loungers on patio surrounding this set in landscaped gardens with trees, bushes and planting. The house has no immediate adjacent neighbours (closest neighbour is on other side of the road) is adjacent to a second orchard area (owned by our family), giving extra privacy. Utility Room: Iron and ironing board, washing line in small courtyard off kitchen, pool toys etc available in garage. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen and towels for house use are included. The villa is cleaned and linen changed once a week (more on request). Please bring beach towels Other: Fans available in living room, air con in both bedrooms. Wifi and sat tv.

Peaceful in a beautiful location

From the first moment when we were greeted on arrival, our stay was just perfect. The stay was for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and Rachel made sure our stay was one to be remembered. The villa has everything (and more) that is needed, and the garden and pool offer that perfect outside space. Thank you for helping us have a fantastic time.

Fantastic Family Holiday!

Thanks for our fantastic stay at Villa Gwendoline. This was our first family trip abroad with the kids (6 & 7) and we had a fantastic stay for two weeks. The villa didnt dissapoint and was really spacious, clean and very well located to all the local amenities. The privacy it offered was fantastic and we all had a fantastic stay. The weather was a great hit for the daily use of the pool which was a big hit with the kids (and adults..). Would definately recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area. Thanks Rachel we will definately be back...

Warm house..less warm welcome

The villa is perfect for a small family. It has 2 good size bedrooms and 2 well equipped and functional bathrooms. The outdoor area is spacious and was great for our 2 yr old and 4yr old to practice their swimming in the huge pool and football on the lawn areas. The welcome from the caretaker of the house was rude as was the check out. The owners need to improve on this.

Easy access to Algarve autodrome -motorbikes, cars and go karts.


10 min drive to Alvor's stunning stretches of sandy beach with rock formations and coves at one end, sand dunes and harbour wall at other. Range of beach cafes and restaurants available. Quite and busy areas, suits families and couples alike.


50 minutes to Faro airport.


10 min drives to shops of Portimao, beaches and fishing village and restaurants of Alvor. 15 mins to Lagos nightlife, cobbles streets and shops. 30 mins to Monchique hills and traditional mountain town of Silves. 30 mins to Algarve's main shopping mall and Waterworld and other Water Parks. Under 15 minutes to many golf courses (Penina, Palmares, Morgado, Alamos, Alto) and autodrome for karting and F1, located near to megalithic site with museum.

Further Details:

Nearest banks, doctors, supermarket and fish market in Portimao. Nearest restaurant 2 mins drive.
