The apartment has its own covered allocated parking space. Golf courses, mountain bike hire and water park nearby. The spectacular Akamas Peninsula is approx 20 mins drive. Paphos airport is approx 35 minutes and Larnica approx 90 minutes drive.

My husband and I live in The New Forest with our 3 teenage children and pet Labrador. We both work full time and enjoy spending time in Peyia where we can chill out and enjoy the fantastic views from our apartment. We love to walk to the local restaurants and bars in the evening and also enjoy a BBQ on the balcony relaxing and admiring the views.My husband is also a keen cyclist and enjoys the excellent cycling opportunities in the local area.

Although I work full time, I will respond quickly to any enquiries and I am always very happy to answer any questions about our property or the local area.

Lovely Apartment

Lovely apartment, spacious, well furnished, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Complex good, nice pool and walking distance to local restaurants and bars. We will definitely be back in May 17, shame it was fully booked for our holiday in September 16...the good ones always are!

A Most relaxing stay...

My wife and I stayed at This Appartment for two weeks.

On our arrival, the Apartment was Immaculately clean, and had everything we needed.

After filling the cupboards, and the (beer) fridge we set out to Enjoy the time In pegia.

We had hired a car, so spent most days out of the accommodation,baking either at ST George's, Latchi or Limni Rock area.

The Balcony was a Huge Bonus for us, we had breakfast and evening meal sat out, with terrific views over to the Sea.

In the Afternoon, it is a real sun trap, though we only made real use of it for this purpose one afternoon.

There were two pools on the Complex, a small one near the car park area, and a larger quieter one two Blocks away, on a lower level, which looked nice and well Maintained. I can't comment any further, as we never used either, having spent all our days out and about.

Perhaps one of the best things was dealing with the owner Karen McGarthy... she was easy to deal with, prompt to respond, and very relaxed about arrival and exit times.

Would I stay here again...????

Fantastic time, lovely view brilliant holiday

We arrived after a couple for hours drive from Larnaca to find the apartment perfect for our break.

Upon arrival we found the apartment clean and tidy it has spectacular views down over coral bay.

The kitchen has everything you need to make cooking easy and even a bbq which we used more than once!

The balcony is large and really well equipped with all you need to relax either during the day or in the evening.

Both bedrooms were spacious and both had air con which was a God send given the 40 degree heat!

The apartment comes with its own allocated parking which thank fully was undercover allowing for us to leave our hire car in the shade.

The local beach at coral bay is a 10 minute drive away and is ideal to spend time just lazing in the sun.

All in all we had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable holiday and would recommend here to anyone.

Really good value for money and Karen is really helpful answering questions swiftly and provides you with all the information you need before your arrival.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!!!

Fantastic place, great location and view

We had a wonderful time here. Great little place with all the amenities you could wish for. Spotless on arrival, good sized bedrooms and a well stocked kitchen. Cracking balcony space to eat, BBQ and relax. Some lovely pools onsite. Owners very nice to deal with and quick to respond to enquiries.

not as described in the write ups

we turned up on the day to find the apartment not a clean as we expected. we thoroughly cleaned all the windows and all the furniture. I dont think anyone stayed in there for a while. however we did it ourself, the kids refused to stay there and went to friends place as we used to live in cyprus

The internet was very slow, took me a while to get it sorted, the landlord claimed it was sorted but we never got proof and the internet was very slow the whole time

The furniture on the balconies is tired and worn, the chairs have dips in them and the legs are bent so could only sit on one and on one side of the sofa, the dinner table you can just about manage to balance a glass on there

the place looks like a council estate, there was a fridge on the stairs during the whole stay, bit of debris and wood left in piles.

the neighbors are dirty and disgusting, they dont even clean there gardens, so all you see as you come in and out is trashed gardens and green pools. dogs barking constantly even at night

bedroom aircon leaked all over my laptop which i managed to save

the best thing was the mattress in the main bedroom, was so comfortable

the landlady when i booked it made a mistake with the money and tried to overcharge me, i told her i was coming out for a funeral, because of her own mistake she didnt return my calls until closer to the day where i messaged her on the offchance as i couldnt find a replacement place, she then apologized for her behavior and rented me the apartment. after i told her my aunt died she treated us very badly but rectified later

i have all pictures and videos to prove everything i am saying

we rented another apartment later which was perfect

you get what you pay for and this is one of the furtherest apartments in Peyia and car hirers wouldnt lend me a car at first ebcause we were so far up the mountain

i know people will think i am being unreasonable but this is the truth, the rest of the apartment is nice, the view is nice

Owner's Response: The property was occupied and cleaned prior to the guest’s arrival, we have never had comments that the property is unclean. The cleaning company arrived when the guest was departing, they described the apartment as being ‘absolutely disgusting the worse we have ever seen in 9 years’ with rubbish bags outside potentially attracting vermin. The oven was filthy and bed linen required a deep clean, I incurred an additional charge. The patio lock and television unit door were broken and have been repaired. Although it states the children would not stay at the apartment, the cleaning company informed me, 5 guests had slept there, one on the sofa (booked for 4 people). I was told the internet was slow, I immediately responded, emailed the company and sent the information to the guest. This was increased to 8mbp. I was not told this remained slow as I would have resolved this. We have never had complaints about the internet speed. The outside furniture that required replacing has already been purchased as this was highlighted to me after the guest’s departure. The neighbour’s own private pool is green probably due to chemicals not being applied when the property is empty. The communal pool is always maintained to a high standard and cleaned. There is advice on how to manage the air conditioning units, they are checked regularly and we have not had complaints. If this had been highlighted, I would have responded, no concerns have been raised since departure by other guests. The guest and I agreed a rental price on the guests requested dates however due to a passport issue, the departure date changed. I had not taken a deposit and cancelled the booking as I found the guest’s constant demands pre booking unusual; when the guest further contacted me to say they could not get another property and needed to get out to a funeral, I agreed against my better judgment. Car hire is easily accessible, we have used a local Cypriot firm for years and state this in our advertisement. We have had no complaints about car hire, the position or condition of the apartment. Our guests,120 + lets in 9 years, have never made any comments such as those described in this review. Karen

Winter month in Peyia

A lovely stay in Sunset apartment. The apartment was well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The views from the balcony were amazing and on days when we stayed in it was lovely to just sit and read and and look out . Without a car the walk up from the village was a little challenging with shopping but kept me fit. (Philipos supermarket in the village will deliver if you really need it although we managed without.) There are buses hourly to Coral bay and from there every 10 minutes to Paphos so travel was fine. With a bit of research on the bus timetable we got to see quite a lot with visits to Polis, Saint Neophytas Monastery, Saint George, and a very quiet Troodos Village that was the birthplace of Makarios. We had a car for one week that enabled us to go a bit further afield. We really enjoyed a lovely month with good weather as well . Thanks Karen for all your information and easy communication to ensure that all went well. Hope to return some time in the future.

Location

From the Owner

We love Peyia for its peaceful environment away from the main tourist areas but is still close to fantastic beaches, historical sites, areas of outstanding beauty and a great range of bars and restaurants. The apartment is in a lovely peaceful position with beautiful views to the sea. The property is just a 12 minute safe walk to the village where there is a good choice of local restaurants and bars.

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended

Special interest holidays:

Mountain bike hire is available in nearby Coral Bay with easy access to the Akamas Peninsula which provides excellent walking and cycling opportunities. We can suggest bike routes to suit different abilities. Please contact us for further information on Bike hire and suitable biking routes.

Further trekking available in the Troodos mountains. Scuba diving also nearby. Endless historical sites, churches and charming villages all within a comfortable drive. An extensive range of books and leaflets on the local area are available at the apartment.

Coast/Beach:

Coral Bay beach is approx 3.5 kilometres (approx 5 minutes drive) distance where there are is a good selection of lovely beaches. More smaller lesser known beaches are within a 15/20 minute drive, the Akamas Peninsula is definitely worth a visit for both the scenery, beaches and wildlife. Polis is a 25 minute drive has has a beautiful sea side harbour (at Latchi) and further beaches.

Travel:

Paphos airport is an approx 30 minute drive and Larnaca airport a 90 minute drive. There are plenty of companies that operate flights - Easyjet, BA, Ryan air, Monarch, Thompson and Cyprus Airways. We can provide information on Taxi and local car hire that are reliable and reasonably priced.

There are many beautiful parts of the island to explore which would require a car. However, a car is not essential due to the walking distance to the village and frequent bus service from the village.

Distances:

Peyia village is well equipped with a good selection of resturants and bars, good supermarkets, pharmacy, bank, butcher and delicatessen.

Coral Bay is a 5 minute drive and has a lovely beach and a further good selection of resturants and bars.

Paphos town is 20 minutes drive with its beaches, excellent shops, resturants and bars.

Further Details:

Peyia is a lovely quiet village with excellent amenities including a good selection of bars and restaurants. It has retained much of its Cypriot charm. Further up in the hills (10 minute drive) is the traditional Cypriot village of Kathikas with 3 excellent restaurants. We can recommend local restaurants to visit in the area. We can also recommend a hotel locally which we use and has very reasonable joining rates. The facilities include an outdoor pool, indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, fitness classes, comprehensive gym, gym instructors on sight, beauty therapy treatments and is within walking distance of the beach; this facility is particularly useful for our winter lets. The Hotel can be accessed either by car or local bus service. Our apartment has comprehensive information on places to visit, leisure activities and local restaurants.

We are able to recommend local car hire, the company we use is very competitively priced as there are no hidden extras on collection. The car is available directly outside the airport at pick up and drop off and does not require a drive to a car depot. We have a very efficient Management company who live locally who will be able to respond to any difficulties if they were to arise during your stay. Prior to your arrival at the apartment, we will email you a comprehensive list of our recommendations for a pleasurable holiday in Peyia

The apartment is set on the top floor so enjoys an unusual degree of privacy. As The apartment is set into the hill, it is only 2 flights of stairs to our apartment. It enjoys spectacular sea views from the balcony, the development is very quiet yet only a 12 minute walk from the town of Peyia with its bars and tavernas. There is a regular bus service between Peyia and Coral Bay and Paphos that runs approximately from 0800 to 1800 every day.

The apartment is suitable for both families and couples. All rooms have dual air-conditioning/heating units.
